One of my friends barley plays, cares even less about digital ‘stuff’ then I do, guess what; he does Tequattle once and gets the green ascended bow on his ranger. that account is from the 75% sale about a year ago. If you think this is the only good drop he had I’m gonna have to disappoint. My memory is kitten but lest say we curse at his luck once in a while. I’f thers an exotic drop in said chest you can bet your money he’ll get it sooner rather than later.

I don’t understand why people link AP , AP doesn’t say anything, but he has 40% Magic find. Witch is peanuts, so I’m pretty sure by now MF is a placebo anyway.

I’v gotten to the point of not expecting good loot, I see about 2 exotics a month and they never are worth that much, 3 gold tops. I seriously dislike the GW2 RNG but on the flip side, unlike certain other MMO’s I’m not paying to be in the RNG lottery this time.

The drawback; it can be hard for some people to get a grip on the UI, however just google Manga Studio 5 tutorials and you should find the solution.

While I agree the dps is a bit of an odd things on Mer it sounds to me that you might need to try other tactics. Don’t forget their DPS comes from clones, phantasms and reflects that read differently than simply cleaving into a mob, not to mention that simply putting on zerk gear won’t make you awesomesause .
How about instead of pointing and laughing at OP you give them information ,okay ?

Wish I had more to share but I’v only been running Mer for 2 weeks now.

I’v been playing Mer only for a short while and Blink confuses the heck out of me, sometimes I’ll be able to port, most of the time its simply refusing even on flat ground or really slow slopes down, and then thers Frostgorge Sound where I can port over the ice ‘caves’ thing without it making a fuss …

I don’t get it at all its like the skill with most potential won’t let me actually use it besides a minor speedboost and IF it works an escape. Glad to see this is a bug rather than a mockery.

I don’t like these ‘frighten’ strategies regarding classes, does it really mater ? If you don’t play the class in question, you can’t learn how.

Not to mention that everyone is different, what you find hard, OP might not. I found Mer no harder then Engi, but man, don’t get me to play warrior,guardian or thief I can’t play those at all. Just shows that people are diverse creatures.

TLDR; go for it, do note that squishies are a bit harder to lvl and the lack of traits will make it a bit difficult.

Another reason why I never bothered with that rifle. Things neers can’t really enjoy; back items and the legendaries.

Playing Engi since launch, I think I understand what you mean with ‘lackluster’ googleing best builds for it just goes all over the place, a permanent good one is the dungeon Meta witch can be used in open world. If anything I’v seen Engi’s being underestimated in forums but I’v never understood why. Both me and a friend of mine do a really nice load of DPS, if you get kicked out for playing neer you got in a party of ignorant idiots.

leveling is usually the turret build but eventually, if you want proper dps that is, you should move towards grenadier when possible, I’ll admit lvling one is a bit of ‘clench teeth together and do the thing’ . I’v always found neer at 80 most enjoyable, anything below 60 is eeeh.
What brings us to manual targeting, you’ll love it or you’ll hate it ,witch is why its a good idea as mentioned to go test it out in pvp. Neer is both ranged and melee, toolkit is pretty mele I guess (never used it, no reason to) but bombkit will have you standing underneath your enemy more than often.

Last we forget, dodging, crippeling and kiting are essential skills for Neers ,if anything this is a really mobile class, I hardly ever stand still unless I know I really can afford too. Anyway that’s my experience ! I clearly love the class so I’m full of bias ;D Good luck with choosing ^^

People making new characters and completing a certain story quest after the patch randomly received max guildwars 1 titles. Giving them the title “God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals” and the HoM/Achievement points that come with it. So they have closed down the vendor until they remove the title and benefits from those who received them illegitimately.

Unfortunately i too earned HoM points the day this all went down here i am waiting for my white raven

I was just about to post a bug report for a personal starting story that missed parts, playing a new char, not planning to do the whole story but I really appreciate the BL chest key that comes at the end of the starting story. Glad I keep an eye on this post (considering getting GW1 when its on sale, would also like that white raven a lot ! )

My only gripe with the scavenger hunt is (and oh god I know I’m going to get teared to shreds over this, lord forbid a filthy casual runs around with your toys)

They should have not involved big dungeon materials in any step of making an item that is linked to the Living Story.
None of my group ,nor me, are real dungeneers and the item feels like ‘a souvenir that’s linked to LS’ but oh hey you don’t do fracks to bad, no last stage for you… I better get my flame shield don’t I
I’m not stupid, I realize its exotic and we generally don’t need it FOR STATS REASONS so before you get your panties in a twist ; souvenir, skin, now calm down some people just enjoy the LS and like to take home a piece of it mkay.

Its not about hard, its about logic. Keep everything in 1 ‘zone’ and ‘PVE story’ is such a ‘zone’ but a zone that works together much closer towards ‘open world PvE’ then it does towards ‘5 man dungeon PvE’. The meaning is what I already stated ‘we did SL2 and we brought home a souvenir’ not everyone cares that X people can’t get it so it must be cool ,nor care about the illusion of prestige. To bad the souvenir remains incomplete ,once again, because I might have not been around for LS1 but by the looks of it the previous backpiece did this as well.

if it wasn’t that this is the second time the last stage possible for non dungeoneers looks, lets be honest, rather poor for the amount of materials ,gold and time, doesn’kitten The Spinal without colors doesn’t really cut it either. But unless its suddenly a majority in uproar like the colored commander tags noting will change, and clearly we are not that.

As players its fun to speculate, truth be told 99% of things we’ll come up with will never happen. I assumed that in 2 years time we would have a HUGE collection of gemshop skins. I was very very wrong.

GW2 is not following standard MMO updates, and that’s fine. But your quote is already biased towards updates in the trend WOW does ; ‘change every little thing so people have to relearn their class’ is not a real system of improving a game, it really isn’t, it is an illusion you give the players just like how Powercreep gives the illusion that you’re more powerful, while in reality its not needed. GW2 is doing a pretty nice job keeping the Powercreep beast at bay while not killing the fun. (And GW1 proves you can sit on a lvl for an entire game without needing to be ‘bigger’ ) .

at a certain lvl all medium ‘helmets’ are going to be masks, starting from about 30 or 40 you will be back to having a monocle, that is if you craft them. If you are not interested in crafting I would suggest just chekking the TP, there are probably crafters who sell their made stuff, it usually cheaper then crafting it yourself (or just getting your crafting up to your level )

about 400 hours in, have not done dungeons, not interested in a real legendary, halfway full zone completion and 1 exotic piece of gear. Having a blast.

If possible on any lvl, not just at 80. Maybe I’m a rare breed but I don’t care much about that bar, and having it flashing in my face at 80 still isn’t that fun and a simple ‘on/off’ button would do the trick.
