Honestly I always thought warriors lacked depth, compared to other professions. That might be good for new players who just want to use warriors to learn the game and end up switching to another profession they like. But for the people that play warriors as their main characters and love the class. It can be annoying, sometimes frustrating.
I know Arenanet likes having it so that warriors are easier to play than say a Mesmer. But I think every class should have equal difficulty level and near to equal skill ceiling. The main reason for saying this is so players can chose the professions they like, not the profession that is easier or harder to play.
Instead of having only Bursts skills drain our adrenaline bar we could have stances… We could have Berserker stance for F1 abiliy, Balanced stand for F2 , defensive stance for F3,and of course if burst skills have to be part of the warrior mechanic then they could be the F4 ability. This would add a more complicating and useful mechanic to warriors.
We could also make it harder for warriors to gain adrenaline so its worthwhile when the adrenaline bar is full but so it also makes sense to use it when its not full depending on the situation. And it could help traits that help generate adrenaline to be more popular in warrior builds.
(F1) Berseker Stance. 1 adrenaline bar = 1 sec of quickness, 3 bars = 3 secs of quickness and 50 percent damage intake increase
(F2) Balanced Stance. 1adrenaline bar = 1 sec of stability and maybe a cripple.
(F3) Defensive Stance. 1 adrenaline bar = 2 secs of Protection
(F4) Current burst skill mechanic.
(Most of the stances effects were gotten from a post about stances, tweaked some parts of it a little)
This of course is just my opinion. The cooldown time for the stances should be appropriate so that warriors would still be balanced.
Another way to give warriors a help warriors current difficulty level is by adding more viable builds, the new players can have the GS build for getting used to the game. And warriors who want difficulty and also want to be as effective as other professions could have other viable builds. Everyone wins.
