Hi! I’m looking into creating a lockdown/interrupt mesmer build (very new to making builds, but I enjoy it), and I was wondering why power block wasn’t really used? It seems really good in theory.
+Is there a reason that Power Block and Chaotic Interruption wouldn’t work well together? Wouldn’t that make an interrupt build more effective?
+My main goal was to emulate the mesmer playstyle in the original GW, but I realize that there are just way too many differences in the gameplay.

If anyone has a good build they’d be willing to share, please do :-)

i think all weapons could be “mesmerized” with enough thought. Dagger comes to mind but honestly i’d like to see a new weapon, scythe comes to mind, maybe twirling it over the head and summoning illusions like that. But other than that I think daggers or either type of bows would be very cool to see.

Only weapon I want to see on a mesmer is dagger if not double daggers. I can’t imagine any of the other weapons being “magical”, but then again they managed to turn a bow into ice bow for ele so ya never know

I don’t think at the moment anyone could make a logical prediction about which might be next for an expansion. There are the rest of the elder dragons, but I have a feeling we might see Mordremoth in this season of Living Story, and I feel like the only way we could get a unique experience fighting another elder dragon is if we fought the deep sea dragon, which seems logical.

And then you have Elona which is blocked off by the Desert Gates, so there honestly could be anything behind there, personally I would LOVE to see something re-involving the 6 Gods and maybe even Abaddon making a comeback which would be awesome.

Lastly there are the Tengu/Cantha, so I do have a feeling that they’re going to incorporate the Tengu sometime soon if they do make Cantha open in GW2 which would still be cool, as long as they dont make it as fast as Factions was.

Honestly, you’d be better off getting other slot skills first. Ether Feast is great (especially with PvE) and really at level 28, you can just do more damage with other slot skills. You also could save up for elites and get veil instead of Signet of Ether
