Same Issue. Again. This happens over and over every time there is an update. Maybe it’s time to bring is some people who know servers. Just saying.

Just disconnected me from game then relog attempt got error code 42:6:3:2158

Been unable to log in for 10 minutes now. At least one other guild member also was booted and can’t relog.

Hints Achievement bug

I’ve had this issue for a long time. When I first noticed, I was at 82/83 hints I checked the hint list viewable through the question mark icon at the top left of the page. It showed that the trebuchet hint in the PvP area had not been done. I went to the trebuchet area and received the hint on my screen and in the list of hints it was now check marked. However, I was still at 82/83 hints in the Hero window for the achievement. I have read one post where they mentioned it might be related to the “Laurel” system and some sort of hint related to it. Unfortunately, this is not the case as I have had this issue for months before the Laurel system was introduced.

Dailies and Forced Grouping - Not Fun

I don’t like the new daily set up myself. Easy or not the “dodging” thing is just plain stupid. It nets you nothing and would never be something you would normally get during PvE Gameplay outside of dungeons and fighting Champions. Why? becuase there simply isn’t the need to dodge when fighting anything outside of dungeons that aren’t Champions. The combat just isn’t that dynamic with regular enemies and only is needed for dungeons and Champs because they hit for so much damage when they attack.

The crafting one is silly and also nets you nothing unless you are currently leveling a crafting discipline.

Basically I am just not for daily items which don’t at least get you something for doing the action (outside of the completion reward). Both dodging and crafting are zero sum actions and just waste game time. (Obviously if you are leveling a craft this may not apply, but for ppl who already have each discipline maxed it’s useless)

Anyway, just my thought and I know ppl like the new system although I have yet to meet one. Haven’t heard anyone in my 100+ guild say they like it yet. We shall see how it plays out and the only thing I am sure of is that Anet should not have told us we could pick and choose and not roll that feature out at the same time as switching to the new Daily format. If it wasn’t ready to be “FULLY” implemented then the new system should have been shelved until that time.

Change to Magnetic Grasp

So after trying it out a bunch more I really don’t like this change. A double tap of the skill button does not automatically make you leap as you have to wait for Grasp to hit. The cool slide animation of the original is gone and the new animation is clunky and lame. The leap can cause you to miss if the enemy is on a lower plane than you, a jump mechanic that applies to most if not all “leaps” which has always been in serious need of fixing. (ie it doesn’t jump at the target but instead strait forward at the level of your current plane in the direction of the target)

The delay between Grasp to Leap means you’re at your target slower and now possibly Leap will miss. All this just to add an unneeded combo finisher???

I rarely had any issues with the supposed bug/bugs of the old skill. Only an occasional stun/freeze of the animation when reaching the target on the slide. But it certainly wasn’t that common or serious enough to change how the battle went.

Here is how i see it
-minor damage buff, technically nice but realistically will never out way the loss of damage due to the new ability to completely miss with the new Leap
-animations, the leap animation is clunky, like all leaps doesn’t leap at the target just in their direction thus less effective on uneven terrain (especially when you are above them)
-new combo finisher, nice I guess but completely unneeded and I see it as ANets way of trying to make a bad skill change seem better.

I know many of you disagree and that is fine I guess.

Weather and a Real Night time experience

Long ago ArenaNet talked about how night and day would be a big difference with events and people only available to do or find at certain times. I have 4 80’s and several other alts and in all that time spent mapping/doing events/hearts/exploring I have never once not been able to find an event or seen a new event,etc because it was nighttime versus daytime. Also, let’s be honest, 95% of the time the difference visually between most if not all map zones is almost ZERO when it switches from night to day. The light levels are so bright during a supposed “night time” that your basically wasting server resources to have this effect in the coding.

Since the fractals came and we now know what night time could have been, the current setup is even more of a joke.

I’d love to see an actual night time visual be instated across all map zones as well as random weather effects, which we all know is possible.

Realistically the only effect the daily cycle currently has on the game is to make AC weapons turn blue.

Change to Magnetic Grasp

Magnetic Grasp: This ability now immobilizes the target that it strikes. It is now a large Projectile finisher, and damage is now split between this ability and Magnetic Leap.
New skill – Magnetic Leap (Earth Skill 3): Activate this ability to leap to an enemy that’s been struck by Magnetic Grasp.

So this happened. Not sure why they decided to make this change and ruin a great skill. There was certainly no bug or oddity on the mechanic which required a split and no real reason regarding game play why this was something to even consider, let alone actually do. Grasp was a great way to get hold your enemy and get within ele dagger skill range.

With all the things Anet could be working on to catch up after a way too early launch that still need attention, fine tuning of skills whether they need it or not should not be what Anet is focused on.

Horrible change.

That’s my thought, but I would like to hear what other people think. I would also like to hear from the devs as to what prompted this.

New chest image for Uncommon and better drops

So far I get the “chest” icon only about 15-20% of the time for blue drops

I have gotten a rare drop which did not show as a “chest”

I have gotten a white, Common, item from what was a drop showing the “chest” image

Obviously this isn’t working correctly

Ok so after further looking into it this a a heart from Fireheart. I guess the bug is why would I get this since I was in Wayfarers???

I was looking for the new content in Wayfarers and like every one else not finding it anywhere. So myself and a few guildies started killing the Dolyaks nea rthe entrance to Diessa and get the Combo daily. All of a sudden I got a mail which had the Renowned Heart Logo:

I never saw any heart progress or display where I normally would, nor I had I seen let alone lite any beacons, nor had I gathered any food for refugees. The worst thing is I have probably now missed out on some part of the new content without ever havign even seen it or known it was there.

The issues with new content are getting old. Anet, please start actually testing this stuff before release. Too much of what keeps going wrong proves that you are not doing even some of the most basic game play tests. Please post a reply at least letting us know that if what has happened to me and maybe others means an inability to experience the game content for which this mail references.

Side Note about the WvW remark…I know tons of people who enjoy the WvW but not the sPvP. They mainly do the WvW for the monthly or for a nice break from regular play and it is something they can enjoy unlike sPvP. Moving it to PvP Monthly would make them a lot less likely to do it at all or as much as they would never get the PvP monthly.

Just saw the new monthly and JP discovery is one of the bars. How does this work if you already have them all discovered. Am I not able to get the monthly reward for January? Doesn’t seem right if that is the case.

If simply redoing a JP counts then no worries but otherwise BOO Anet. All players should be able to achieve the monthly as has been the case since GW2 started.

Thoughts? Answers? (Would be nice to know what ANet says about this)

EU and US servers do not communicate??

Questions regarding Guild/Cross Server Teams/Chats

Why do US and EU servers not communicate data back and forth? I can not team with my fellow guild mates and do a dungeon even though I could team with players on other US servers and do a dungeon. They won’t even load the players on the screen if you team up and are in the same overflow. This included the Map chat as I couldn’t see their map chats and they couldn’t see mine.

Why are there not multiple Guild chats? Just because I am not choosing to give my influence to one of my guilds at a specific time does not mean I don’t want to be able to converse with them.

Why is Guild Influence server based? Why would you allow cross server guild membership if players not on the “home” guild server can not enjoy the benefits of the guild?

There was an extensive US/EU community in the original Guild Wars and it seems like ArenaNet and NCSoft did all they could to ensure in Guild Wars 2 that this community would be segregated. Three months and still no Guesting. No benefit from guild membership and it relies on members on different servers to accumulate their own influence and benefits thus basically making them a separate guild altogether, except in name. There seems to be a deliberate motive behind the way the game was designed which specifically targets those from Guild Wars 1 who were part of US/EU guilds or had US/EU friendships. I don’t know what the designers were thinking and this has bugged me since they announced the server setup many months ago. Some answers from ArenaNet would be nice as I now have to choose essentially which set of friends I want to play with and which I have to say goodbye to at least in terms of ever playing with again./

Would really like the mail to stop being sent every time we zone. Some of us are trying to do other stuff while you fix this buggy failure and it’s getting really annoying.
