In the collection of the astralaria, the third tier. There is an item which is called “Cosmic Mechanism”. Now I know it is not yet possible to craft it because of the “Sheet of aurillium” not being available through the vendor, but I was wondering if it is honestly gonna require 10 Ultra Hot Sphere.

There is multiple posts on the subreddit already about this, but I didn’t see any developer response or whatsoever, and I can’t use the search function of this forum as it doesn’t work properly.

Now the part where I’m hella confused is that making 1 ultra hot sphere for the collection achievement is ok. But the Cosmic Mechanism requires 10 in the description. This has to be a mistake… There is someone on the subreddit that broke down the mats that this would require and it simply doesn’t add up if you compare it to any other precursors.

Here is a link to the reddit post in case someone is interested in that part only of the collection : https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3tm22g/spoilersastralaria_13_95_enjoyment_sink_half/

After defending the logging camp and defending the gate, I retreated in the Fort as the mission says. I hit both switch and then the mission asks to defend the Fort Trinity Docks. I went there and killed 2 waves of enemies. They was a small cutscene where a risen boat spawned in the water and then killed 2 more waves of enemies. Afterward nothing is happening. I am stuck there and it says ‘Defend the Fort Trinity Docks’. This is the first time it happens to me.

PS: I did try reseting the instance and the same thing happened the 2nd time.

I don’t quite understand this…. Dungeons are a part of the game. Stopping development on these is just kittened! Don’t tell me you are gonna do QoL changes as this will be even more kitten. Just put a kitten team on dungeon development. 2 years without any dungeons, this is nonsense. All we had is a replacement for TA F/U, which is fact not even a replacement because at least TA F/U was profitable compared to this aetherpath time gated madness.

This is being plain ridiculous… I can’t understand in anyway how is making the legendary only account and not into the wardrobe gonna make you guys happier. (Because clearly this is what you are asking for). This is just over me. I’m just gonna wait for a dev to post or a post to explain the situation. I changed my mind for people with dual legendary same skin, you guys don’t even kitten deserve a refund, you whiny cowards. Trying to get those legendaries out of the wardrobe even before it’s out and before you see how they thought of implementing it. Ugh, discusting.

This isn’t a question of ego for a lot of players. This isn’t a comparison to how other people have it easier, or really any comparison to the rest of the player base. Nor is it an economic thing. The situation is plain and personal: some made a 2nd skin, at great cost, and then Arenanet gave it to us for free at a later date. I thank them for that, as it was the goal all along, but it leaves us with a great deal of wasted time and effort to reflect on.

This is sad, it is. But you have to know that as many already said, we can’t control compensation. Just don’t make them remove this, because ‘you’ think you are ‘losing’ something.

If they’re going to account-bind legendaries, I think they should remove it from the wardrobe.

You get to share your legendary gear between characters since they are account bound so that’s not a problem anymore, and it would avoid problems such as the before-mentioned Eternity-making exploit to unlock 2 free legendaries.

The reasons people would complain now about removing them from the wardrobe would be either if you can’t deal with the effort of stuffing your sword into the bank when you want to switch playing on another character, or if you want to dual-wield legendaries without the effort of making 2.

Which is exactly what ANet is trying to promote. They want to reward player that worked hard to getting skins by allowing them to reuse that skin on other items. Quit seeing this only for legendaries, there is much more to it then legenday.

This is not feudal Japan. In the end, a game is a paid service. Compensation is not a GIFT, they are completely different by definition. People are not LOSING this feature if not implemented, as it does not even exist yet. Any company operating on reasonable business ethics will take the concerns of customers seriously, as this results in better products, and continued business. This is not an issue of failing to satisfy, this is an issue of changes effecting consumers in a potentially negative way.

People are giving valid reasons as to why THIS change may not be the best way to address the ROOT problem, which is the purpose of change to begin with. This is why there is a feedback thread. If this change negatively effects even a small part of the player base, that does not make the issue any less important. Games and companies for that matter, don’t lose all their consumers at once, it happens in tiny chunks of “less important” people. Surely, if you just ignore concerns for the sake of progression, it will do much more harm than good.

Yes, but what I mean is that this “small chunk of people” are not losing anything.

Note : by losing the feature, I meant removing announced part of it being removed, not actualy losing.

Support is already being discussed for gem store refunds. I am one of the people that bought many, many cultural armors, but I don’t really mind that. I think if Anet had any line to draw across “what can we consider compensating” it would start with legendaries. They do not compare to other investments.

But that is what we’re saying, that line would be even more unfair for alot people and thus is why, as I mentioned earlier, that compensation is the best option, but would be extremely hard to attein. Plenty of people already said, take advantages of this feature, don’t take only the disadvantages, even thought there is none….

I still think any items in the game should be in the wardrobe, as if we consider every player, than any weapon or armors may be hard earned. I said and alot said, it’s impossible to satisfy everyone, enjoy the change. Conpensation could always be a more then appreciated gift for those that have duplicates, that is if ANet desired. I’d surely like my T3s refund, but I don’t want others to lose from this feature in exchange for myself.

Agree, although I do not think they should be compensated either. As you said you need to draw the line. If they got compenstated, then how about all those with mulitple T3 sets, jade weapons, Fused weapons, etc etc. Should they not be compensated to then? If you compensate one group, than you would have to do it for all to be fair.
Sorry but that is not realistic.

Yep, that is exactly how I see it, it’s impossible and way too complicated for them to make this change, just enjoy the featureas 99% will and bare with choices you made 7months? ago.

When will people understand that this line can’t be drawn? It is never, ever, gonna be fair for everyone. Go on with feature and enjoy instead of caring about something already past and most likely trying to cut off this upcoming feature. The game has to somehow evolve and it is right now. Let everyone enjoy, everyone.

The coiche would be impossible to make for many of us as it’s not only about legendaries (as often stated before in this thread… people need to read before posting). It’s always gonna be unfair for someone, either go with the 99% players or with the 1% that thinks it’s unfair.

ANet, don’t remove this feature as it’ll hurt more than anything else done with it. Compensate those who did as you wish, but don’t make this feature go to waste.

We aren’t asking for the system to change if we can be compensated. Also how does us being compensated effect you? If anet says “Oh sorry about that change just pick a different legendary,” how will it negatively impact your gameplay experience?

Just as Lilith Ajit.6173 said…

This won’t anyhow impact my gameplay, I said many times (clearly you haven’t read my posts) that compensation would be a great thing. But please, I beg of you, quit saying we’re gaining a free 2-3k item, as we aren’t and you know that. The legendary isn’t ‘only’ the skin… Stop with this stupidity.

Why would you take something so valuable, scoop out it’s insides and make it common? I understand accound bound legendaries, but infinite copies of it for all my alts has made having one a kitten joke. You are ruining the point and feel of even making one. This is not “Legendary” this is legendary becoming something as common as that gold star nobody notices for world complete. As common as the FDS that looked badazz until you realized everyone had one…. or two on.

Once again, like many people said, this won’t increase the amount of legendaries in-game, you still can only play character at a time and thus as far as I know have only 1 legendary, wether it is on your guardian or on your warrior, there still is only one at a time… Still won’t be a kitten joke… Gold star uncommon, same thing with so much others and legendary will be acount bound anyway.

Making legendaries account bound has nothing to do with this thread now. Yes we can switch the item to another caracter, but that is not the wardrobe is there for. Wardrobe is only used for skins… And then again, it’s not only about legendaries, what about fractals skins like alot of people said. What if someone with 2 fractal dagger is complaining for others not to have fractal daggers skinnable…? This line isn’t drawable, so quit asking for it to be drawn. Let the developpers release this feature, profite of it as much as you can and live with early decisions you made. I kinda regret right now buying t3 multiple times on multiple character, but I can easily live with it.

I understand how skins work. I’m saying you should not be able to show off something you didn’t earn. People are not farming legendaries for their stats. If that’s the case they would just farm ascended weapons which are way cheaper.

If you can copy the skin of a legendary to another weapon, then YES, you did save yourself 2,000 + gold that people before this April patch had to spend.

Clearly you don’t, but that is ok, don’t feel like arguing right now. We’ll see what ANet thinks about this, I guess, soon anyway.

I like how this discussion is getting so large and Anet hasn’t made one comment on it to any of the topics posted, including a lethal loophole with Eternity which is objectively not right.

The reason why they probably didn’t talk about eternity is, I guess, because they forsaw this issue. I doubt they would let people craft it and than sell and remain with 2 other greatsword skin… that would make no sense to anyone in-game. But for people with already equipped eternity, than they would keep both the greatswords skins and the eternity. If sold, both sunrise and twilight should be removed from wardrobe, that we are all aware of.

100% agree with the OP. You should not be able to copy paste your legendary and duel wield it. It’s not fair to the people who already put in the time and effort to craft two legendaries. If you are duel wielding 2 legendaries it should be because you earned them.

This is exactly what you guys don’t understand… The skins will be transmuted more than once yes, but the weapon isn’t copy pasted or cloned or whatever you call it. It is only the skin that is transmuted more than once, just like you use your dye over any amount of skins. The stats and the rarity and the item still remains legendary only for the original. The transmuted items will never have the legendary rarity and stats. It might be frustating that people will look like you, but you need not to forget that it is not doubling a legendary item, it is transmuting the skins more than once. Please stop saying it’s saving 2,500gs for others or whatsoever, it is not.

I was thinking a good compromise would be to allow the Legendary skin for the weapon accessible for copying but the aura and effects would not copy over.

In that instance, a person wielding a weapon that was transmuted with the skin of Incinerator would not have the fire arm or footsteps. I believe these auras are an important part of the lore and mystique of the legendary weapon and allowing them to be copied cheaply is a negative idea.

I can’t believe people still thinks this will be anyhow different… Only one player at a time will have the legendary, rather it is by transfering with tcrystal and tsplitter, only 1 character ‘in-game’ will have it at a time. There is no problem about this wardrobe, whatever anyone think there is. Some dual wielder may see something against it and it is understandable because they worked hard for a 2nd same legendary, but it’s how ANet saw it in advance, these kind of thing don’t just randomly pop out of anywhere. Please let ANet decides wether or not these ‘13’ players that signed a so called ‘petition’ will get a refund or will make 1000s of people lose the benefit that this wardrobe will propose.

I highly hope ANet won’t make any stupid move and trash all enjoyement so much player will lose if they remove it. It was stated often in this thread, people would be encourage to start making legendary as they won’t see anymore skins limitation to it. A incredibly awesome feature which might and probably will make people even more hyped about rare skins. Alot of people also mentioned about fractal weapons, those are rarer than most legendary, they take twice or even three time more effort than legendary to obtain as they are purely RNG. Legendary takes around a month or two to craft.

I’ve been doing fractal since october 2012 and I still haven’t had my hand on any fractal axe which I am craving for because those are amazing skins. Please even if it is a matter of dual legendary, consider this as a benefit for everyone, quit see’ing only your ‘loss’ even if it’s none. See the other sides, your alts ele/necro will have incinerators, bolt, axe, anything actualy. This feature can’t be that much of an harm… Don’t lie to yourself, it only makes you a bit angry because of jealousy, others will have the same ‘look’ as you, but most certainly won’t have 2 legendary in their hand.

This is simply becoming stupid, I`d suggest the moderators close this thread and the developpers make a choice. We are clearly going nowhere, dual wielders (2 same legendaries) are just not able to live with the fact that others will be able to dual wield a legendary. Fine, so be it. That very small minority is complaining, and? They are, we can’t do anything about them being mad at it. If they deserve a compensation? The devs will see about this. If the wardrobe should include legendary? I see no point in not letting anyone with legendary skins re-use them, as they worked their hard time for it. What about eternity? That’s the only problem so far, either make it soulbind on craft or remove skins if the swords is sold.

Since this thread seems very negative of the proposed changes, I’m here just to display how happy I am with this changes as a legendary owner.

Now I can finally go around and explore the game on new characters, using my own hard acquired items that I enjoy to use so much. No matter how you look at it, I (the player) worked hard to have my own legendary and now I won’t be bound to use one main character at all times. Makes sense that my legendary is available for all my account to use as a skin instead of only one of my characters.

Having 2 of the same legendaries means you had it and used to dual wield all this time, and you still keep the stats and ability to change it at will. Just because more people can use the skins now it doesn’t mean these players are losing anything, because they aren’t.

That is how, I guess, most people will see it like and exactly how it should be looked at. The gain, not the loss even if it’s inexistant as you keep the item.

That’s an extremely selfish way to see things. You’re seeing it all wrong, think about all you will gain with this patch rather than what you’re loosing. You will be able to wear next legendaries on all your character. You will be able to use dual wielding on another class. Anet is not going to make some special rule, if people arn’t happy they will just remove the Legendaries from wardrobe, making EVERYONE unhappy. (except maybe 2-3 marginals selfish individual)

I have to agree that this might be happening to a minority complaining, but there still is a topic to discuss, if they complain and no one reacts, ANet might consider. I am not saying they will or they are, but it might be happening. So let’s hope we can get a good amount of players to discuss. Not only pros and cons. I think this will make people want to get legendaries even more.

People who play multiple toons may be discouraged from making a legendary because it takes up truckloads of resources, and they won’t even be using it much. So this change might get those people to want legendaries.

That is, imo, the greatest point of this feature. People will be tempted to make skins they can get across caracter, alot of players were discouraged, like you said, of making legendary because of switching caracter would make that skin unavailable. So they`d rather stay with ascended or exotics and have multiple caracter with those. I am not ditching any weapon in the game, as alot of them are simple beautiful even if they aren’t ‘legendary’. I, for two(?), think this will bring even more people to the legendary holders player!

Dual wielders have no benefit except stat wise, but as answered by many people, most of the people who make a second identical legendary do it for the looks rather than the BiS, which came as a bonus for all the hard work, which in any circumstances, IS NOT worth 2800g.

How is that so? How can you assume most of the people made it for skins? I ain’t saying they didn’t, but there is no proof that anyone did that nor is there any proof that people did it only for stats (which I can easily believe, because I did on dreamer). When you say it sohuldn’t be possible for someone with only 1 1h-handed legendary to have 2, that means you would rather lose the posibility to skin over to a another item a skin you worked for? How is that ‘fair’ for all the other player with single legendary skins? There is no need to be selfish or whatsoever here, everyone does understand the so called ‘loss’ in ‘look’ or ‘skin’, but as many suggested, this could be compensated with a complete refund (by unbinding) or partial refund. If they do refund the dagger itself, you will still be able to dual wield skins as you so desired and aswell make back a good amount of money. How is that not acceptable for you? The risk that they don’t refund? ANet has a market to protect as many said. It is true that if a good amount of Bolt, Incinerator or Frostfang (everyone seems to be forgeting this poor frostfang, and I said quite a lot of double wielders), the market for these weapons will be fluctuating alot. But that is ANet`s choice, they can refund in many other ways.

The same applies to crafting a legendary (I’m currently on my first, since it was never a huge priority for me). If you decided it was worth the cost to craft a second Incinerator to dual wield, then you paid your cost and got your functionality. Most stores don’t allow you to return an item because it went on sale three months later, and those that do offer it as a perk, not as an obligation.

This situation is functionally different from, say, some of the town clothes, which will no longer have the functionality for which they were purchased (and which ANet is compensating users for). You wanted two Incinerators. You got two Incinerators.

I couldn’t agree more, yes alot will be able to dual wield ‘skins’ without having the legendary item twice, but you the choice you made when making a 2nd exact same item and skins is made. It matters to you most that others have 2 skins and then 2 items. Even if alot said they didn’t care about BiS or Switching stats, it still does impact a large group of people when taking decision in making a legendary or a named exotic (which imo have some better looking skins). The choice was made for stats and for skins, not only for skins.

The hard work is not to be forgoten here, I for one agree that a compensation would be greatly appreciated, but there is no need to remove this fonctionnality from the future feature just for a small minority of people stating the work of 1 is absolutely nothing compared to the work for 2. Like Gabe said, live with it.

Hello Guys\gals, I am very very excited for this update. I have 2 bolts right now, we need to remember a few things.

1. We will always have best in class ( if they ever add a new tier we will always have the best)

2. The legendary has to be equipped, so not everyone gets legendary skins

3. selectable stats

4. Alts now get the skin ( So Awesome )

I do not expect to get anything back (refund) Nor do I want one.

This just means my many alts with swords will get the same skin.

just my 2 beans..

That is exactly how I see it, I can understand how dual wielders can feel their 2nd ‘unvalued’, but there is, as I said earlier, much more to win then to lose here.

And for people thinking this will lower prestige for everyone in the game, you are wrong, it won’t. Only people that bought legendary or made legendary will be able to skin them over alts. Not anyone, so no weapons won’t be seen everywhere on the screen. Still 1 account for the skin. Unless you can dual log and I am unaware of this, that means only 1 at a time on the screen.

Ok, clearly (and clearly english isn’t my main language so don’t flame on something that has nothing to do with topic thanks) there is a contraversal situation here. People with 2 same legendary skin feel their 2nd unvalued. On the other hand people with as many kitten and more skins are greatly welcoming this feature.

Let’s have something clear, the wardrobe isn’t about unvaluing the 2nd legendary skin of anyone, it’s about having the possibility to have the same skin over more then oneequipment. People stating that this feature is just unfair clearly don’t understand the meaning behind all this feature ANet built.

Yes it may be quite a hit for dual wielders to ‘feel’ their 2nd skin unvalued. But think about all the others, would you rather have everyone cut off this awesome feature or have these guys in anyway ‘compansated’. I, by all means, don’t want to start an argument with someone that has no place here on this forum. But I ask of everyone to try and look at the 2 sides of the medal here.

I for one, would enjoy this feature, not only for my legendary skins, but for plenty of other skins that are pretty expensive and I’d like on other caracters. I think about foefire weapon, volcanus, fractal weapons ( I know they are account bound, but skins can’t be used to many weapons ), even more the halloween item forever stuck on one caracter.

Trice said : There is more to win then to lose.
I know it may hurt dual wielder, and I understand why, but Trice is right, the weight is unmesurable. There is SO much more to win then there is to lose. Please consider before having ANet remove a beautiful and awesome feature in this game.

With the new Guild Mission feature added last patch. We decided to let more player enjoy a good Guild. Eidolons has recently reached Guild Bounty, we already succeeded 2 of these and thus we are looking for more players to be able to keep on going and start on doing other Guild Missions.

Requirements

The requirement to join the guild isn’t hard to meet at all :
- Be respectful with other players in the guild and also be respectful in general, we don’t want the guild to get disliked because of a member’s action.

That is the only requirement I wish you can respect. Off course it would be preferable for you to be in Fergusson’s Crossing to be in the homeland of the guild, but it isn’t a requirement.

Invite

If you would like an invite to the Guild, you can whisper any of these 4 junior or whisper me directly in-game. My character name is Claire Farrun. You may also leave a message on this forum, I will check this forum often to see if anyone is interested.

- Silly Old Willy
- Vincent Vonn
- Snow Farrun
- Ashellia Farrun

Thanks

Eidolons thank you for reading if you did and wish you all a good exploration in Guild Wars 2!

So following your explanation, I’d be better not to transmute it at all in case they raise the legendary stats, I guess that answer my question. Thanks, I guess ^^.

Still if a mod could answer or confirm this, simply because I’d like to have a berserker’s stats on my dreamer, but if it is to ruin my future legendary’s stats, I won’t.

Alright, here is my question: will legendary first stats remain if I transmute it to get better ‘exotic level’ stats?

I explain, if I transmute my legendary ‘the dreamer’ (179 Power , 128 Toughness, 128 Vitality) to get the stats from a exotic berserker’s weapon (179 Power 128 Precision 9% Critical Damage), and now the legendary weapon has the exotic stats, but the legendary skin and is still a legendary rarity.

So now my question is if ANET ever raise the basic legendary stats. So that instead of ‘the dreamer’ having (179 Power , 128 Toughness, 128 Vitality), let’s say they have (~pure example~) ( 189 Power, 136 Toughness, 136 Vitality ), will my legendary stats stay at ‘exotic level’ or will they go back to the new basic legendary stats.

Step-by-step explanation :
2 weapons used : The Dreamer (179 Power , 128 Toughness, 128 Vitality)
Berserker’s Shortbow (179 Power 128 Precision 9% Critical Damage)

1 – )Transmute The Dreamer skin and rarity to the Berserker’s shortbow
results : 1 weapon The Dreamer (179 Power 128 Precision 9% Critical Damage)
2 – ) Now let’s say ANET raise the legendary base stats to ( 189 Power, 136 Toughness, 136 Vitality )
3 – ) The Dreamer stats will be ??? <- that is my question in shot

Thanks alot I’d realy apreciate if a moderator or game manager could confirm this for me, because I’d enjoy transmuting my legendary skin to another ‘exotic level’ stats weapon.

I can add picture if needed.
