Settler's ascended weapons

So got an intricate settler’s inscription (toughness healing condition)and I’m making ascended weapons at this point. I’d also like to make a hammer.

What I’d like to know is if it would make a good hammer or if that stat combo really doesn’t work with the weapon.

Enough of your GMPC please.

Yeah, I don’t like these GMPCs either. Skipping over every in-depth issue the basic problem is that they waste the player’s time with uninteresting dialogue that is more about reveling in the characters than actually engaging the player. It gives the impression that the player has become a generic mook rather than someone who has made a critical difference when it should be the other way around. It’s not fun and it’s not engaging.

It’s a bummer that it’s the eles and Guardians both get neat looking starting gear but turns out they don’t exist elsewhere in game

I thought the Charr diet was “Whatever fits in your mouth.”

Dredge and F-Legion behind Fire&Ice

I, too, am intrigued. I associate the dredge with technology and the Flame Legion with magic, however there’s no reason why they couldn’t work together to get the best of both worlds (which that ascended item may be hinting at, some kind of fused technology). What I find odd is the dredge working with anyone. I doubt they’ve been forced or cowed by the Flame Legion, but I can’t think of any other reason why they’d help them. The politics behind this must be interesting (and possibly part of a large dredge rebellion story in the long term?).

I’m also amused and interested to see the Consortium jumping on the refugee issue – just helping their fellows out of the goodness of their heart, I’m sure. It’s possible that they just see people desperate enough to move to Southsun Cove and make it a little less miserable (boosting their optimistic tourist ventures), but I’m suspicious. I recently started wondering about other things the Consortium have their fingers in, and I won’t be surprised to find them continuing to scheme throughout this year’s event updates!

Maybe the Flame Legion have convinced the Dredge that Charr are essentially Dredge that live on the surface. While that’d be pretty hilarious that the concept would move along a Dredge/Flame alliance along quickly.

I support this idea.

If it’s one thing cooking needs it’s to be able to reproduce the throwaway party consumables.

I think Charr need more head options

It would be nice to have hair options that are tied to the physics engine like all the other races.

How would you fix the warrior?

I think the banners 1-5 could use some working. The 4 and 5 are essentially not used in actual play and I think the 3 should be redone so that it gives different buffs based on the banner like the 2 skill does. I say it needs to be redone because when other professions drop their summon weapons or crates it’s like Wintersday morning but when you drop a banner everyone thinks that the weapon they have is much better than the banner, unless they have someplace far away to run too. They need something that actually provides new incentive to actually holding the banners besides some mediocre physical skills and a short recharge speed boon.

Honestly, I think a big difference would be by making the banner 3 a the boon shout as well as a blast combo and changing the 5 to an area target where you throw the flag to a new location would make banners much better. It’d be alot more fun, that’s for sure.

I also think that Warbanner’s AoE buff should be a named effect like the other banners. It seems like a break in logic that the Elite banner gives a generic boon while the lesser banners get their on specific buff effect. I also think Warbanner 5 should have a firewall skill but I know that wouldn’t fit right.

Especially for the charr. They look like some sort of lion-related industrial accident.

I gotta say that the incentive isn’t there. I just played TA and no one in the party pulled a single green. Or something they could actually use for that matter.
