Thanks for the suggestions. In a group fight is when I have the most trouble. In 1v1 it’s easy enough to just use tab to get the right target in enough time. I have just been doing solo queues so far so I don’t have a group to call out targets. I guess finding a group should be my next step.
When I mark the mesmer or thief, when they invis or create a clone, will they remain marked?
Oh one more question. Sometimes when fighting say a mesmer, i never lose the rigth target the entire fight. While other times it seems like I’m constantly losing my target and trying to find it again. Are there certain moves, such as stealth, that force a target drop?

Hello. I have recently starting doing the pvp part of this game. I’m playing an ele and seem to be doing ok with the killing and staying alive aspect but I’m having trouble with keeping and sometimes acquiring the target when fighting mesmers, necros, and thieves. I understand lots of minions, clones, and stealth are part of their defense, but what are some tips and tricks yall use to acquire and keep the target of the person you want to kill?

healing power is the worst scaling stat in the game, often times only adding 10% to the base heal of the skill. Why would you want to nerf it even more?
I use both elemental summon skills when doing solo pve. If you use the earth pets (not at the same time) and then keep them healed with water skills they make pretty good tanks. I have used them to tank vets and champs.
But in any other situation besides solo pve, they are pretty kitten terrible. The only reason i use the elite one in groups and pvp is the other elites suck even worse. While the greatsword is great, it is far too situational. I mostly only use it for AC exp mode runs. The rest are complete trash that i would never use in ANY situation.

It can go off every 9 seconds, just like all the others. The buff is what lasts 20 seconds.

I hate skipping. This is why the introduction of the tokens and gear vendors into MMOs was a terrible idea. Why do you do the dungeons? So you can get the good gear? Right. Well since the gear actually comes from a merchant in town, and the tokens come from finishing the dungeon, there is no point in the content in between.
The gear needs to go back to dropping from boss mobs. major pieces like chest,legs,weapons from bosses, and minor pieces like wrists and trinkets from trash randomly. Throw in a few rare drops to make it even more worthwhile.
I mean in a RPG that makes sense, you would find this awesome gear in the dungeon you are plundering. Not from a merchant in town.
I hate this this has become the model for a lot of MMOs now regarding gear. I don’t know if it will change, but I hope it does.
