Doing all my dungeons with my guild mates, all rangers have berserker/rampagers melee have soldier/Valkyrie/berserk . I dont know why are you trying to fix whats not broken. There are no roles , just face-smashing-the-keyboard.
Endgame is WvW: Just like in DAoC (there it was RvR).

The questions should be how many people that answered here even reached 80 lvl. This game is not an MMO but a single player experience.
It’s just what you make out of it. There are tons of concurrent players, so it’s massive multiplayer. And for sure it’s online. RPG is all up to you, it’s not strictly a game mechanic, although the game provides a story and possibilities to switch roles like it should. Can’t say GW2 feels like an SP game just because you can manage many situations alone. I felt much more alone in WoW.

Beside a good story and interesting leveling this game has nothing to offer. SPVP that i cannot play with a friend because we occasionally get in different teams. WVW where all your efforts go to waste with night-cappers. And dungeons that are useless because a full exotic set costs ~27g that you can get in a weak time. Good single-player game kitteny mmo. 23 years old.
I dont think that AN understands that there’s a difference between going to dungeon for 100 times and not getting an item and and paying 20 bucks and not getting an item.
So today i got “Pact victory token” in my mail saying i can exchange it with Pact Requisitioner Hargrove but after googling it i found out that he is in trinity fort that behind doors that only open when u defend the fort from the attack (story chapter).
I completed my personal story so how do i get past those doors ?
What is the purpose of this thing ? Wiki chief recipes are a lot easier to use and allow you to find things faster.
To say the dungeons will be the SAME 6 months from now isn’t going to hold up either. We’re going to be doing lots of updates to dungeons, changing things that didn’t work out, and introducing new features as we find the time/tech to implement them. Our hope is that dungeons will stay nice and fresh for a long time
Certainly hope this is the case. At the current state all exploration mode can be learned/completed within a week, with ~3 hours a day.
The problem is , theres no reason to complete them.

A little bit about my gaming interests. Im a casual mmo pve player with hardcore addiction to dota (in my opinion standard of a balanced team pvp). In my younger days I played a lot of Ragnarok (in my opinion standard of good and meaningful guild vs guild action).
From AN marketing i got the feeling that this game would have a ton of things to do after you reach 80 lvl i didn’t really care about pvp side of things relying on tons of pve content but after a month with a bit of playing i got bored of the game. In no way im bashing AN, the fun i got from the money i payed exceeds any other game that i played. This is just things that i personally would like to see changed/implemented but if they dont well …. you cant make every one happy. (80 lvl elem, full rampagers exotic, bank 30+g, 1200+ different dungeon tokens)
So without any more rumbling.
Things i like
PVE
Immensely enjoyed the lore part of the game, from the very start the lore grabbed me (my first character was a char) i loved that the different clans/legions fight between themselves while having to fight off human ghosts (bloody people took our land ! slay them slay them all) branded creatures , fighting of separatists that want to brake our alliances. Completed every 1-15 zone just for the sake of seeing the great art and checking what the races are doing. Love it. Really liked the option to choose what you want to do in story, made me feel somewhat in control of crusade against the Dragons.
Dungeons
Really liked the story part of the dungeons, really adds to your knowledge about the history of the land and races. From the balance stand point they (story dungeons) were not to hard or easy some where passed with pug groups some with guildmates.
sPVP
Really like the ability to jump in and play with the same level and inventory as the guys that are playing for days there.
WvW
The ability to level up your points/keep/towers is awesome. The siege weapons make it look more like a battlefield really like that aswell.

Nothing to say here, the pve part(not counting dungeons) is really good.
Dungeons
Here my problem with the game starts. I started to play the game counting on hard dungeons(explorable modes) with good rewards , that can motivate people to go there. But dungeons that are hard are just bugged, and those that aren’t hard are easy its like when you go to shower but you can only get water that boils you or freezes. I didnt go to every dungeon , but those that i passed fall under this category. And the rewards, you get 160 tokens a day, to get a full set you need more than 1500. But whats the point of it if i can craft items with the same stats, now i have over 30g if i wanted to lvl up a new character i would just buy him all the equipment on the day he reaches 80. so Dungeons for me have no purpose now. I wont even try to complete those that i didnt go to because the time it goes to get the party that can complete an explorable mode > the reward it gives.
sPVP
Why the hell im not able to play with 2 of my friends on the same team? I just want to go there with 2 of my friends and play with random people. But in the end its a ) Play casual solo. b ) Play hardcore tournament. After all the talking about the choices the player can make we only get to possible ones. As a dota player this thing just blows my mind. insert Jackie Chan.jpg here

Okey …… so …… our squad of 50 people takes over a tower we upgrade it ….. and when we sleep it is taken buy some random pug group. Even the kitteny blizzard made the fight on the Wintergrasp only once every 2 hours ?(correct me if im wrong).

The only thing i would like to see here is a location where you cant go solo , like a location filed with silver mobs instead of standard ones.
Dungeons
Fixed, with no bugs and bosses that people can kill only by abusing the mechanics coughsparkcough. Loot , if you want to keep all the stats the same , make the items themself look good , now i only see 2 sets that are atleast dissent looking (TA and COF sets), but none of them look aweasome. Raid content, really would like to see it thought i can understand that the balancing would be mission impossible for the AN considering what i see in 5 man dungeons

Ability to join a random arena with my party
WvW
Add a zone which activates once every N hours (where N>6) and lasts X hours (where X <4), with points/towers/keeps that give items to the guild/server that controls it by the end of the fight. I can see the problems with lag and other stuff but i believe there are ways around it.

He’s lying to support his case, just like alot of the “Elementalists are not fine” people in this very forum. It’s a wounded ego thing, and you should just nod your head and move away because it’ll just start an argument that neither can win.
Oh theirs the problem your using S/D , to bad you didn’t try other weapons before talking about professions balance. Playing as a staff DOT elem full rampagers 20/0/30/0/20.
Fire
1. AOE auto attack
2. Huge aoe with low cd
3. 1 button pres that applies an aoe dot
4. 3rd roll for evade
5. BEST ingame skill against buildings or bosses that take a lot of space and dont move (TA last boss)
I wont explain all of the elements, if you dont understand what power your wielding in your hands then the elem is just not for you.
Oh you want a proper way point ? Try TA explorable , 1 way point , 1 bloody way point for one long path, 4 of us actually killed the last boss in time that took the 5th member that disconnected to get to us. And those flowers dont help , dont help at all, I can see that they can make fights harder and make you position yourself carefully , but why the kitten do they stay after you passed the encounter. It just makes the running from the start to the end 2 times longer.

Changing the attunements that drastically would change the class at a fundamental level and make it something completely different. If you’re interested in a tactical role-changer, you’ll have better luck campaigning in the suggestions forum for a new class in future expansions. Which sounds like a good idea, actually.
The class needs to be changed at a fundamental level, because it is fundamentally flawed.
At its core, elementalist has to juggle 20 skills at one time instead of 10. But elementalist is not allowed to be more effective than other classes (in fact, most of the time it is LESS effective than other classes). So it gets twice as much work to do (juggling 20 skills instead of 10) and gets no reward for doing so, because that would be “imbalanced”.
Did you even played elem ? Doubt that , with all the combo fields, tons of control, and damage abilities i feel superior to other professions considering what i can do in a fight.

Im gonna go on killing spree if this is not fixed , with my elem i can solo the burrow with meteor shower in like 5 seconds , but with my guardian i can be standing for a minute.
Well im amazed.
When you do it without a Mesmer i will be amazed. Now it just proves that the Mesmer is the best buffer in the game where everyone should be equal.

1st. I dont get hit, im wielding a staff and 2 escape skills which means mobs just dont come close to hit me.
2nd. We are not talking about few hits, we are talking about the mob pursuing the person till its dead.
3rd. They way to pass dungeon faster is to have more damage.
And kiting can be done with glass canon build which you contradict in your own statement. If AN suggests that i take toughness/vitality items on my ELEMENTALIST i suggest them to fix this bull.

I don’t misunderstand anything. I’ve played over 2 dozen MMOs since ’96 all with various types of mechanics… I GET why they said they removed the trinity, and I believe it is possible to have a fun, compelling, engaging game without the trinity. What I am saying is, they failed… plain and simple. The classes are homogeneous (aside from effects and animations they basically all do the same crap, and the combat in dungeons, (especially dealing with boss fights) reflects this…..
Anyone with two eyeballs and half a brain can see that dungeon and boss fights are boring compared to games with well thought out encounters where class dependency and strategies can be constructed…… NOT because it can’t be done, but because they haven’t figured out how to design these encounters without the trinity.
Really well said , I dont have anything against “no tank, no healer” but it shouldn’t be like this in dungeons. There is still aggro but instead of wow where its based on threat here its based on damage/positioning from what i have seen (have around 1600 badges from different instances, not much but enough to get a feel of the game). In half of the trash fights im running away as elem (full exotic) trying not to die instead of damaging (which im supposed to do with my build) while meele tank(with rare equips in best case scenario) just run around holding half of the pack (in best case scenario). Does this mean that im playing the game wrong ? From my view its bull from the side of the devs, we have no agro meter , we have no damage meter. Like the guy in this thread said There is no plan of attack, there are no roles, there is no strategy. This is just poor and mostly lazy design. Feels like AOC dungeons did… several monkeys and one football…
That said gw2 is much better than the kitten “king mmo”.

You ever heard of the abbreviation KISS ? If people find ways to skip parts of the dungeon they are doing good , if the devs let people skip parts of the dungeon they are doing bad. Farming dungeon set for my alt and abusing all flaws that i can, because on the first run i want to see what the dungeon can offer, on any run after the first i want badges. Blaming people for skipping is just stupid

Google it instead of waiting for an hour for people to answer your post. I doubt this is the game for you if you cant even figure out how to get to the dungeon.

Tbh I think that’s a good idea given how hard it is to make money in this game.
Stopped reading after this. Persons thought process is obviously lacking. Go try to earn gold in dungeons your doing good.
Like I said in another thread, I really just think the trash needs its health/damage lowered a bit, and the modifiers need to either be clearer OR reflect boss mechanics. This will keep things challenging but it also means the mechanics aren’t hidden behind layers of “what did we do or should I have done?”
NO. 1st: DON’T STAND IN AOE DAMAGE.
2nd: If through all that time none of your team members pulled the agro from you , means you shouldn’t go with them again.
Running AC 3 paths each day since the DR fix. Dont have a tears about boss health in there and totaly like the 2nd boss , the mechanic where he pulls people in then one shots is nice, means if u dont pay attention you die. That said the troll miniboss could really have less health , he doesnt have any fun mechanics but tons of hp.
Was in TA 2 times 1-2 path , emerald boss before the “fountain event” is so terrible , he has tons of hp but literally no abilities. That should be fixed in my opinion.

I red the Dev post but i still dont fully understand how the new system works.
So just point to me which answer is the correct.
a) I run 3 different paths in the same dungeon, ~30 min for each path, within an ~24 hour period i get 180 badges
b) I run 3 different paths in the same dungeon, ~30 min for each path, one right after the other i get 180 badges.
c) I run 3 paths in 3 different DUNGEONS, ~30 min for each dungeon, one right after the other i get 180 (different) badges.
d) I need to be in the dungeon for more than an ~hour to get 60 badges
I hope they fix it soon, the same thing happened to me in AC explore on two different paths. They were defiantly not speed clears. (1 1/2+ hour runs)
I dont know who the hell told you that speed running is punishable. The rewards are broken for 4 days now and will be broken until Monday so all the people that wanted to get some badges this weekend , tough luck arenanet doesn’t care for your plans.
I dont know why people are angry about 60 from 1 path. The developers worked on every path in a dungeon not the single shortest one. SO enjoy the game fully and pass all 3 paths and get your 180 badges a day.
P.S. still getting 15 badges on the first run
Its already the second day when i get 15 badges instead of 60 on the first run of the day, in fact i run 45 level dungeon for the first time ever and got 15. Disappointed.
Items should be lvl 60 not you
I dont ask for my 45 earned carvings that i didn’t get , but i would really be glad if they fix it by tomorrow, reported it as a bug in game , hopefully i will get 60 tomorrow
