Guild Wars 2

Just found something that seems to work.

Run the ORIGINAL EXE file. Make sure there are NO command line parameters at all.
Worked for me.

I’ve also been having this since the patch.

The only way I found of fixing it so far is to run the ORIGINAL game EXE.
I usually hsve 3 shortcuts on my desktp, 1 for patching, one for image and 1 for starting the game with certain command-line parameters. Now I need 4.

Hope this helps someone, somewhere…

Just started happening to me. Not good at all.

Been getting the above error on every BLTP page except the Pick Up tab since the last pach.
I can’t buy anything.
Or sell anything for that matter.
Anyone else?

Anyone else seeing this on opening the BLTP since patch?

Tried restarting my client a few times to no avail.

I’ve been playing Ranger since the beta weekends and still loving the class even though I can see and feel a lot of the problems it has.
Running dungeons more than anything at the moment so here is my build/tactrics.

Currently running a Power/Precision build
wearing full exotic Beserker’s crafted gear with ruby orbs
using SB / LB combo, exotic Ghastly, with ruby orbs
in dungeons I use polar bear and Brown bear (mostly for survivability)
I use Healing Spring, Quickening Zephyr, Signet of the Wild, Signet of Renewal (or Signet of Stone depending on situation) and Rampage as One.

Traits: Skills:
20 1, 7
30 1, 5, 8

15 6

The way I play:
I constantly switch weapons and pets.
I try to keep on the move so I don’t have to dodge as much.
I use QZ on every cooldown

Personally, my damage doesn’t seem very high at all, but my party seem to think I’m doing extremley well for a Ranger. Especially in Catacombs when the Troll appears and i switch to SB/Axe+Warhorn for speed and slowdown, then proceed to kite the heck out of it while everyone else wails on it.

Since the early October patch, this game has become unplayable for me as the above mentioned bug means all movement has to be done with the keyboard. Which, in a game such as this is untenable.

The symptoms:
I hold the right mouse button to pan my view around and face where I want to face.
Something within the game thinks I have let go of the button when it’s actually still being held, causing my character to turn on the spot.
The cursor appears and follows my mouse movements instead of turning the camera.
Right-click and hold it again… nothing. try again… nothing.
The cursor is still visible and only rarely will ‘focus’ and do what it’s supposed to do.

I have had all of my own hardware and software checked and there are no problems at all.

Using:
Vista 32bit
Razer Naga (wired) with latest firmware/drivers
model no: RZ01-0028

Well, after over a month of waiting for this to be fixed, or even some acknowledgement of the problem, nothing has changed and it seems Guild Wars 2 is going to be consigned to the ‘can not play’ bin. Thanks Anet.

I can’t believe that a massive problem such as a fundamental control issue seems to be being completley overlooked in favour of reducing drop-rates on this and that. What’s the point of sorting drop-rates if people can’t PLAY the game in the first place?

It seems to be getting worse with each subsequent patch since early October. it’s gotten so bad now that I can no longer play. I’ve tried everything i can think of. Everything else on my PC is tip top.

Keyboard turning in pvp because the right-click just flat out refused to aknowledge the presses just doesn’t cut it Anet.

This game, at least for me, is now not fit for purpose, and unless it gets fixed VERY soon, I may have to take things further…

Just had a chat with a blind friend of mine who had the luck to meet Michael Dorn a few weeks ago at a convention. He says it is most definitley NOT his voice as the Norn male player. Michael Dorn IS in there as a few of the Norn NPC’s though.
He is 95% sure it’s Matthew Mercer.
My friend is extremley good at paring voice to actor, so I’m inclined to believe him.

Same problem here. It started happening rigtht after the early October patch and has been getting steadily worse with each subsequent patch.
I have tried everything I can possibly think of to narrow down the porbable cause to no avail.

This NEEDS to be fixed ASAP.

My main toon, a male Norn Ranger wont be touching either with a ten-foot pole. I absolutley loathe both the models. Maybe if I decide to make a girly-girl female Sylvari ranger they might fit. On the other hand… No
Rainbows and butterflies isn’t the way to go in GW2 IMHO.

Sorry, had to be done. His VO is boring as all heck, and poorly delivered with the emotional range of a toaster.

Just my opinion.

Just my opinion, but I personally found his VO to be monotone, boring, with no sense of urgency, especially later in the story.
The voice actor is great though, he just needed to emote a little more.

Trahearnes VO… Is he actually an advanced Asuran golem in disguise?
(just read this into the mic please sir, theres no context required)

Hated Trahearne’s VO with a vengeance in the end. I get more emotional responses from my toaster. However, Tybalt Leftpaw (voiced by Mike Vaughn) is fantastic, both in dialogue, humour, and delivery. easily one of the best characters in the game for me.

Trahearne and his VO made me seriously think he may be an Asura golem in disguise…
