I’m getting mixed emotions from SOR here. Some posts they are complaining about a “so-called” 2v1, and some posts they are claiming the “we live for the fights, ain’t not time for PPT” <———- Technically 2v1 = abundance of fights.

So which is it? …

2v1 complaints? which would suggest that you care about the PPT and are frustrated that a 2v1 is hindering your PPT…

or

You are all about the fights? which would suggest that you welcome “so-called” 2v1 and thus there shouldn’t be a single complaint about it.

Just trying to decipher these mixed messages.

Looking at our current roster BT has 599 people logged on, with 598 of those members all in WvW and the other 1 member farming gold for the guild bank. We also have 2 havoc squads of 45 people roaming for small scale battles.

Edit: We’re still outmanned by SOR though. Dem megablobs

There’s no point people whining about un-fair this, un-balance that, “you’re too stacked” etc… Since this game was released it’s always been the case, and tier balances are forever changing. Just a couple weeks ago some SOR and BG were wanting TC to trade places with JQ to hopefully bring more competition… but as we can see TC doesn’t stand a chance against JQ, and so any of the current T2 equivalent servers (TC, DB, FA) just don’t have what it takes to bring competition outside of the weekends. No offence to DB, it’s been fun facing you, but you don’t have the coverage to compete here. Really JQ is the only server with the strength to bring relatively close competition to T1. People should either stop complaining and accept it is what it is, or just do something other than gw2.

There is no need for anyone to claim this move is “fair” or “working as intended”… it’s not working as intended and is being abused as a glitch. we had a rematch in which we beat SF and they refused to gvg afterwards again.
I think the main reason being is that SF preferably plays to WvW instead of GvG.

Is TW the best JQ has on offer, or are there others? Personally, I’d love to see RE vs. (any JQ guild). How about BG?

[SF] from Jade Quarry are very competent at GvG. They beat [Agg] 3-0 in a GvG match not too long ago, I don’t know if they are the best in JQ at GvG but they are certainly very good. But I’d love to watch a [TW] vs [SF], can’t recall if they have faced each other in GvG before?

Actually [Agg] have been wiped many times so far this match up by BG guilds and by JQ guilds. Not putting Agg down, they are definitely very good at what they do, but there are also many other guilds that are excellent too.

By coming into our forum and stating “I’m guessing that that fight did not go so well for JQ” is only bait for flaming and QQs. There is already enough of that in this forums and it’s disgusting. So I kindly ask that you don’t write posts in our thread that will fuel the fire of hate even further in this match up… especially considering you aren’t even in this match up.

Shout out to both JQ and SOR. Since being in T1 I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I’ve never seen any other servers with as many solid guilds on their servers as both yours. Thanks for helping me learn a lot since my time here, and thanks for bringing the good fights! Seriously, I am impressed. SOR NA is truely impressive, yes you have a lot of numbers, but it ain’t just numbers, you have a lot of skill. Considering JQ lost a few guilds recently I’m at awe at their potential to still remain competitive in T1, guilds such as [SF] are amazing to watch in combat. Look forward to more fun fights!

On a side note regarding T2/T1 talk. Personally I think any of TC/DB/FA would hold their own to an extent fighting T1 servers, but they definitely do not have the capability of winning. TC would probably do the best out of the 3 of them, so I would love to see a SOR/BG/TC match, or SOR/JQ/TC

p.s If you choose a FULL server good luck trying to get 350+ people over. My friend and his guild moved to a full server 2 weeks ago and it took over a week just to get his 50 man guild over. It’s possible, but it’ll take several weeks

It can be done quite easily it just requires manuveuring on all sides. I.E blackouts, coordinated efforts and just observations of when things open up.

Blackouts don’t really work anymore. They can be organised to happen but it can take up to several hours before it’s registered that a large body of players have logged out, by which time others on the same server would have logged in. Ask any guild transferred recently to a full server, blackouts wouldn’t have worked. There are small pockets of 3-5 mins occasionally throughout the week where a full server becomes very high, but then trying to get 350+ people through that small time frame is impossible, the only way to get a guild of that size transferred to a full server is over the period of a few weeks.

Im in [BP] so i might tent to agree with this. but Lanii would believe [EA] and Warsock [rb], and noodles [RE] and lokii [NNK] and Sumira would think [TFV] or Kirrene and [WE].

We would all have a great discussion about the strengths and weaknesses of our guilds,maybe even learning something and improving on it, and then agree to disagree.

[rB] and [RE] are not DB guilds, they are transferred guilds from JQ and BG. But from the fights I’ve had against [RE] this week, they are definitely by far better than any guild on DB. [BP] is good too, however [RE] is the most formidable guild so look out for them. [rB] is the best roaming guild I’ve seen on DB. so if you’re looking for good small scale fights I would look for them. I can’t think of any other good smaller guilds on DB.

The only time YB & DB find success against us in EBG is when they hold a numbers advantage too great to overcome in almost all cases. I also find it comical that these two servers are so interconnected that they double team us constantly, infiltrate our voice communication software (mumble), and they still can’t dominate us in EBG until we all log off. I’ll have to start reading these threads more often….don’t want to miss anything this entertaining.

I don’t recall any secret alliances with DB, nor any info leaking into our comms from yours. Same with that “numbers advantage”…I find myself thinking that pretty much every time I see your [WaR] fight us. Far larger numbers hitting us while we are sieging something or distracted with DB.

[WaR] has been one of the more difficult to deal with forces from Mag, but that also applies to a few other guilds from both servers that are fielding zergs larger than our on-map forces. However, I would like to have your 3ft leash to keep all of our pug followers glued to us commanders…but that’s much less useful when you are outnumbered to a point where it makes you easier targets instead of abusing the 5-target AoE limit.

Well it’s true that when you start to mobilize a large force I focus your server because its us and you who’s fighting for 2nd place. Also if I’m in your section then your more compelled to defend which is good for us. DB always hits us strategically as we move on you guys though I look at the minimap and it’s like well there go the swords @ Dane and Quentin again .. I get where you’re coming from regarding the pugs, trust me I have to work like crazy to keep the pugs together and I rely on the players who I communicate with over voice to also help manage the pugs, it wouldn’t be possible to manage them without applying those two two things and having good mumble EBG players.

How come you guys in YB are so strong on the reset weekends and then your momentum seems to dwindle along with your overall number of fielded players per map? If you guys were able to maintain your weekend strength I think our scores would stay tighter throughout the week

I understand a server needs to become bandwagon material in order to reach tier 1… except for JQ who have been there from the start so they earn their position there. Hope tier 2 brings you more competition and fun that you are seeking, but don’t gloat in your ‘fun’ experience in tier 3 at the expense of a miserable experience for others due to your transfer. In the end every player and guild can choose which server they would like to play on, but “hoping to earn the respect” is a pathetic plea… and simply… you don’t kitten deserve it.

A well earned victory by Yaks Bend. Yaks Bend is the only server in the tier to take stonemist during DB prime time. Therefore, this makes Yaks Bend the best server in the tier at taking SM from DB during SEA prime time.

Culling Fixed = less thieves for Pooka Pooka to kill

THIS is the only tier where 3rd and 2nd place are teaming up against 1st place, rather than fighting for 2nd. Seriously, every other tier even my own the 3rd and 2nd place fight it out and the 1st place server just sits back and relaxes. Keep the good work up BP and AR, you’re playing for first and that’s how it should be.

BUT, mad props to Ehmry Bay, the fact that they are still winning even though you both focus them means that they are stronger than both AR and BP put together.

Your SEA crew faces little to no resistance compared to what your NA crew faces. I can understand people taking easy points during NA prime time as it can be much harder taking a fully upgraded keep as opposed to a wooden keep, but during SEA prime time where DB’s crew outnumbers both Mag and Yaks combined and still choose the easy route until more people go to sleep so they can ensure that the fully upgraded keep is defenceless before taking is hilarious. You can argue that it is a “smart tactic” but really it’s just a SEA team not willing to be challenged. I hope they find a challenge in tier 2 so they can… improve….

Then again I guess there’s no incentive to improve when there isn’t a challenge. Out of goodness I hope your SEA crew gets a challenge in tier 2, not only will they improve from it but I’m sure it’ll be more enjoyable rather than fighting doors. I can imagine that must get boring.

@Dragonbrand SEA crew (NNK, TFV, etc…) I can’t help but wonder how you will even handle tier 2 when you reach there. I have witnessed on several nights, or rather SEA prime time, that you attack Maguuma or Yaks Bend and if the defence is a slightly good from one of those servers you kitten off and move to the other BL and try take that BL and then return to the previous BL when more people are asleep. I’m not complaining about pvdoor because I know that’s just how it is. But your SEA crew always give up attacking a BL if there is defence, in tier 2 I doubt you will face no resistance, as a matter of fact I wouldn’t be surprised if TC matches your numbers during SEA, but if you can’t even slug it out and take a BL while there is some resistance then how in the kitten will you ever take anything in tier 2?

I guess you haven’t really faced a challenge during SEA prime time for a while, other than Kaineng when they rose the ranks but Kaineng destroyed your asian crew. I really hope your SEA crew learn to face resistance sooner rather than later, because quite frankly many people from Maguuma and Yaks Bend find it hilarious how shallow your SEA crew is. This may sound harsh but I’m merely stating a fact that your asian crew really hasn’t had any challenges in the last 3-4 months and so I guess they haven’t had to improve.

People need to realize that “Best” in WvW can mean multiple things. Does it mean best at killing people or best at sieging/capturing nodes? Or maybe even best overall.

Best as in killing people. They have good sieging tactics for defending the north supply camp lol… but yea never seen them siege a keep or tower without [GH] or [FTF] there. But definitely in open field combat they are the best.

We miss you too! Yaks is tons of fun even if we get our kitten handed to us. I miss commander meetings figuring out just how exactly we were going to try to beat you. T5 is boring, we just run around ram rushing stuff and waiting for reset. Seems like we might have to break out of our funk if we are going to make it back to T4 in less than a month….

How’s T3?

Well I hope you guys can get to T4 soon so you can have more fun in WvW, no offence to AR or BP, but from what I see on the scoreboard Ebay deserves to be in T4.

T3 is all about the coverage. Dragonbrand literally is only winning because of their large SEA crew. They dominate that timezone along with Euro, SOS dominates oceanic timezone and we dominate NA timezone… however both SOS and DB have fairly large NA coverage too so it makes a challenge for us, but we are holding our own. I’ve fought a lot of Blood Pact [BP] and if I remember correctly they used to be on Ebay, is that correct?

Anyways enjoy the rest of your week in wvw.

p.s [GF], [Sekz], [GH], [FTF] and [pk] are extremely impressive guilds in their own ways and if you guys had 1 or 2 more large wvw guilds you would easily be one of the best NA timezone servers because you already have some of the best guilds I have played against. No joke, fighting you guys was stressful because I new you have a lot of skill. Yaks Bend has grown a lot in t3, massive zerg wars but we have grown a lot in numbers along with skill which has been good for us

Yea we do lack oceanic/SEA timezone coverage, but we do have a fair amount of australian’s that play ocean times. I’ll tell you straight up we don’t have large oceanic guilds but we do have a few small to medium sized ones, my guild included. If you like playing with aussies there are quite a few on Yaks Bend. However our numbers are still relatively small compared to the servers we are currently facing. We have a lot of people that roam during oceanic timezone too

Quite a few aussies play on Yaks Bend, but no major oceanic or SEA guilds on Yaks Bend during these time slots. We have a solid bunch of aussies and are calling out to any others out there looking for a new server
