Real Housecats of Ascalon [RHOA] is looking for 15-20 members.
RHOA is a Casual West Coast, NA guild focusing on PvE, with a little WvW mixed in.
Is RHOA right for you? Are you right for RHOA?
If you’re Hardcore/semi-hardcore, RHOA is not for you.
If you’d prefer a much smaller guild, RHOA is for you.
If you like having fun, helping others, completing achievements, jumping puzzles, map completion, events, or just hanging out, in a no pressure casual atmosphere, RHOA is for you.
If you work during the week (or have school) and prefer guild activities happen in the evening or on weekends, RHOA is for you.
RHOA will always be kid friendly, for you parents who wish to join as a family.
We intend on keeping the guild small, and focused on a PDT/MDT timeframe oriented schedule, with most activities happening during primetime or weekends
We want just enough people in the guild to be able to do things, without reaching that point where there’s so many people you don’t know who most of them are.
And we promise not to eat you just because you’re Asuran. Although you look delicious!
RHOA is not right for everyone, but if it’s right for you:
RHOA on Enjin (work in progress, excuse the mess)
PM,
mail ingame, or /w
Nibbles Terrorclaw
or
Peaches Pooftail

I wonder how small solo guilds will be effected by this feature…
I’m wondering this too from the stand point of small guilds. We have tons of influence because there is nothing really for us to spend it on as we aren’t enough people to do the missions and quests. These halls look huge and geared towards massive size guilds.
Is there something usable for smaller guilds?
It would certainly be nice to be able to convert Influence into Merits, even at a loss.
You and I both know it’ll require a guild mission/quest with more members than most small guilds can field.

No Soup for You!
screwed, as usual.
Nothing wrong with large guilds, but some of us prefer small ones. Sadly, no content again for the smaller guilds.

sure it’s been said already, but I’m not wading through 58 pages of posts that feel the same as I.
I could stomach the $50 a lot easier if it was purchased and delivered as 2 separate keys. I get my expansion, and if I want, I can give the core game-key to a friend.
Do this, you get my $50. Keep them linked and I won’t be purchasing until there’s a severe price drop.

I used the alternative search stickied and the regular search but didn’t get any real relevant results.
Just returned after an extended vacation
At first I thought just of the guilds on my list “Real Housecats of Ascalon [RHOA]” seemed to be stuck unifying chapters.
Now I’ve noticed if I represent any of the others, close and reopen the guild window, they all get the same notice.
All upgrades, influence, etc is gone. I stupidly made the mistake of thinking that after I clicked over to one guild then back to the other and didn’t get the error, that it was unified.
I purchased the 10000 influence upgrade for 20g and used it. It didn’t bump it up. and I still see the unifying message for all guilds.
1) how long does it take to unify? The RHOA guild only ever existed on 2 servers total.
2) Do I just have to suck it up and eat the 20g loss, or will it apply after unifying is finished/fixed?

Charr Warrior, Whispers.
I choose Whispers because Tybalt is the best NPC in the game.

In that “Other MMO” when the big world dragons spawned, I remember entire guilds wiping (BIG guilds) and it taking a substantial effort to kill them. The rewards were good too, at the time. I realize they were uber in the day, and with the progression since then, they might be a joke. But i’d still like to see GW2 world boss events of that level of difficulty.
Priests of Grenth & Balthazar are actually HARDER than that even. (the big “catch” being gimmicky mechanics involved though).
Balthazar is actually ok. It’s a pain, but it’s doable, as are most temples. Grenth is downright silly. Stuck fighting in such a cramped space with AoE from hell, an NPC you’re supposed to keep alive who obviously doesn’t know what PVT gear is, lol, and an insanely long run-back. And because of the runback, people refuse to release, and others stop dpsing to rez which just exacerbates the issue.
your point of the temples being harder is noted, but like you said – cheesy mechanics.

I pretty much agree with everything OP said.
One thing i’d like to add, world dragons/SB.
These are trivialized to the point of being a joke.
When I did my first world dragon event, i was expecting it to be like the ones in that “Other MMO”. Now those were hard. These are simply stand in this spot and spam your 1 key.
Take Shatterer for example. It stands there, facing the same direction, never moving, while everyone stands on the hill and shoots it from range until it dies. The fix to me seems pretty simple. Allow him to turn/move. Movement might be a bit much, but if dragons (Teq/Shat), or SB actually turned, the fights become a bit more difficult.
Jormag isn’t much better. stand over here at the edge of this cliff and shoot rockets at shield. Shield down, run up to range and shoot dragon, since it’s stunned and can’t hurt you. Repeat a few times.
Run over to this other spot, shoot pillars until Jormag is stunned, then whack him since he can’t hurt you. repeat until dead.
Granted, the loot isn’t spectacular which is fitting since the fights are so simple, but still…
