Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think warriors have stealth skills. Either ways I couldn’t right click to attempt to see if there was a report option while highlighting this guy due to his ability to use stealth. As noted by his signet/icon is warrior based on the farthest to the left of icons under his health bar. He’s inside the spawn of sbi borderlands uncaptureable base. If you see on the map where he stands he shouldn’t be and I have immunity to damage. There were about 2 other instances earlier today as well where there were 2 different people doing similar things except they would do stuff like port over to steal orbs (which isn’t new). The trend I’m noticing this time around though is that most are jade quarry players and possibly former henge of denravi players. who knows, there are probably storm bluff isle users doing the same. I can’t see them do it when they’re off on the map alone. Well, I hope something is done to counter their disruption to the wvw gameplay. Thanks for your time. Think I blabbed a lil over much haha.

Audio Problems with all storyline conversations.

Not just storylines that were having audio problems starting about a week ago or so. There are also the character-falling and some other various ones that i don’t recollect at the moment. Not to mention the random audio loops people ran into about the same time where they had to restart guildwars for it to go away.
And yes, 80% of these issues are female character related.

Last suggestion I can give, until it has been fixed, is to play with a friend or partner up with each other. Send each other pms and time it. It may work, it may not. I have no idea. Doesn’t hurt to try. I’m on most times evening if you want to give it a shot I can bring my thief. Til then, gl.

Stealth\Invisibility do not correctly exit combat.

It should be fine as long as you don’t pull the mob too far away. Otherwise they will go invul when you try to resume

Quick temp fix for you guys. I never ran into that problem. It’s probably because all the foes always ignore the npc and chase me. On my main character, thief, I got a habit of using the bow vs strong mobs, so as to not get laid to waste in seconds. I realized whenever I used an aoe condition-based skill (ie bleeding, poison, cripple), it would lure the mob or some large fraction of them towards me, depending how much in range they are to me when I fire. Until they fix the bug, I would advise try using aoe condition spells to lure the foes to you and run back far enough to find the “point-of-return” where the foe will turn around and go for the npc. Ensnare and lay them to waste as they go back. Juggle them until you have killed them all. I noticed the same thing worked with my new ranger as well when I used barrage, same effect. Any mob will ignore the npc and come after me so I had to move back and do the above strat. Let me know if that helps. Gl.
Oh yea, you have to be somewhat close when applying the condition or they won’t aggro at all.

Floating Bug Abuse?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

This is more of a report than a question. I haven’t played the engineer class quite yet. I can pretty well assume that the engineer class utilize the rifles. Well, I only say that because I was surprised by 2 pieces of weaponry for the ranger.
The situation I came across was while I was playing in Eternal Battlegrounds on Aldon’s Ledge more specifically. I regret not capturing the player’s name or the action with a screenshot. The first occurrence was when I noticed the npc required to be killed was under attack. I looked around outside the base and nothing was to be found. I went up the staircase and on the ledge within allied walls up top was an engineer taking long range shots nearly killing the npc. I made nothing of it and attacked him til he jumped down outside. Thought to myself. “ok he’s down below he’s not getting back inside through the stairs again to get up top there.” 40 seconds later I jumped down and at that point it was under attack again. Turned around and looked up, it was the same guy. 30+ seconds of cloaking? Then my thoughts focused on how did he get back up there again. i looked around and nothing. No high ledges to jump from. Definitely no cow launchers. He was just there from the dirt road to the ledge. I started battling him again and when I got low I went down the stairs and he jumped floating downwards towards me and I then ran into the hut with the npcs he was shooting at. He then jumped from the floor level all the way up to the top of the hut and started shooting at me from a hole in the ceiling of the hut.
I thought to myself for a minute… “there’s no way”
Why would there be vistas if you could just play engineer and float to the top as you pleased from anywhere?
I double checked all the icons on his character and nothing unusual there. Just about 3 or 4 basic icons.
I’m calling this out to your attention before it becomes a wide-spread abused bug . If anyone else has seen or sees anyone doing so, make sure to take screenshots/videos and report the names.

Edit: Found a link from here to reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/zstdw/a_day_of_wvw_ruined/) of a guy recording the floating of another player in wvw at 28:30. This guy apparently has a speed boost hack that skips frames as he ports away. The guy I entangled with had 30+ seconds of cloaking in addition to the floating. I hope some sort of moderator can come into play soon as this is already ruining wvw for a quite a few.

Soul/Account Bound and Mail Resolutions

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Stylish.2759

Stylish.2759

Good day,
I am writing this primarily to re-address concerns that may be directly linked together and suggest a solution. I am well aware your team has their hands tied with tickets and various other issues. Therefore, I will try to make this short and as simplistic as possible.
The first issue that has come up so far, which I think I saw about 8 posts on, was related to the soul bound and account bound items. I did notice this myself as well. I started with the three day head-start and acquired over 50 tonics. Once some friends joined on launch date, I gave them the tonics to goof around and enjoy. After the September 6th patch, I believe, a lot of items became soul bound(not just account bound). I can picture scenarios where that had to be done to limit a mass “Captain Planet” routine going on with people pumping riches or levels to the extreme in 1 day. Does it make sense to make crafting and gathering supplies soul bound? What can one do with tonics if not interested and it consumes storage space? What ended up happening for most of these items, I destroyed or consumed while i watched a movie or something.
The second issue, which is in uprising and will become a major problem for all players, is the spam via mail system. The Epic MMOrpg has emerged, there is money to be made, and gold sellers are on the move. The issue with the mail system isn’t just that one guy spamming to annoy you, its the lack of limitation to the gold seller that can spam for the longest time before being reported. My guess would be 1/50 people would actually bother getting the name and posting it up in the forums while the rest delete it and move on. Deleting and moving on works for now as there aren’t that many. That will change rapidly as more gold sellers are catching on. The first one I got in 1 day and the second one I received 3 the next day. It will climb exponentially as time progresses and eventually nobody will bother checking their mail nor receive quest rewards or purchases via trade post mailed items due to a full inbox.
As one person said, ‘there is no “report spam” option in the mail system.’ That would be a great idea for a right-click option or a button.
My suggestion for the overall to limit “Captain Planet” (as well as other similar concepts) and the notorious Gold-seller was to implement some sort of mailing fee roughly about 20 to 50 copper coins. This option should also enable early players to share with their late joining friends with not much of a hassle as they will have sufficient funds to do so and will ‘carpool’ mail thus causing less mail traffic at an efficient rate. The Gold-seller will also have to spend a lot of copper to send messages out. In most cases, they will not, and there we have a significantly lower rate of spam via mail as well. As the economy gets ‘wealthier’ the cost should be adjusted accordingly.
I hope the team will take my suggestion for this mailing fee and the previous noted reporting option by the other player into consideration. i also hope to hear feedback from them as well as players/readers on this topic about their concerns/thoughts on how this would affect specifics I have not touched up on. Hopefully with that a junk filter won’t be needed like an actual email inbox. Great game so far, love the pace and innovation. Thanks to all for your time.

I second that. Got one yesterday. That is going to be a problem if my mail gets flooded and can’t receive more important things
