Guild Wars 2

I think our main goal is to roam in WvW.
So far my PvP build that has worked is 30 Zeal 30 Valor and 10 in Radiance with Knight bonus for the most part, going for power and toughness mostly. I tend to use the Scepter/Torch combo as my alternate.
I use Judge’s intervention a lot.

There’s three of us planning making a trio.
My preferences:
Guardian with a Greatsword at least

Their professions and preferences:
Hunter with a longbow
Engineer support/healer

To be successful, what builds should we go far with our preferences noted here? Especially trait and skill build as we’re all still leveling.

Side note:

What’s the best complementary class to the Guardian in WvW " roaming trio". I got two friends that started to play and we’re planning on making the perfect trio. I’ve already got a Guardian well on his way to Endgame. What should the other two use? Currently they’ve gravitated toward the Ranger and Engineer. Also, engineer leveled a bit already too.

This makes me feel better. I do enjoy a good PvP so far and I like the idea that every player matters and also testing mettle against bigger numbers. Now I just need to find a bigger guild or group to join. It does seem that people on ET are the to have fun, not to “pwn” or whatever. That’s my category I’d say.

Still, I wish there was a better way to attract more people to ET. Even in PvE there’s hardly anyone around to have big event battles and so on. People just need to play on Eredon Terrace more. It’s lonely around here.

New player here. I’ve been playing for real after a hiatus since launch due to losing a job, switching colleges, etc. So far I’ve been on for about three weeks trying to reach end goal for the first time and occasionally checked into WvW.

To let you know, I’m on Eredon Terrace, and all I have to say is:
It doesn’t look balanced at all in WvW. Currently my world is a tiny red sliver in the charts. There’s nobody around (most likely everyone bailed). I love the community and the game but… this extremely slanted system is killing my hopes for rewarding end game content. If there isn’t there should be incentives to have people transfer to lower tiered servers or something to prevent stacking of freeloaders on higher ones.

I do enjoy an underdog challenge, but this is just… yeah.

I’ve only gotten to level 35 so far and getting some of my friends to play GW 2 for the first time… on ET. They’re intimidated to say the least, being on the least of worlds it looks like. I told them that this is the nicest bunch of players on the best MMO out there, so they stayed instead of paying me to switch.

I love strategy and WvW, but am simply dwarfed still. If anyone would like to help me and my buddies join the ranks more adequately, let me know.

Just started playing now that school and work has become steadier for me. Decided to stick with ET. Never met a single a**hole on the server. If anyone wants to level with my friends and I, look for the Dawn Crusaders [Dawn]. We’re leveling as fast as we can so that we can join the fight. Right now I feel like Bilbo in Smaug’s cave if you know what I mean.
