It may be that in one of the 30 fractals, I hot joined a group and it gave me credit for completing the fractal in the Core Fractal Hero title but NOT in the progression. If that’s the case there’s no way to know which one and it shouldn’t have given me credit towards the title.
Edit: Zania, I played the same way but I reached Fractal Level 50 and then did Fractal 50 again hoping that would fix it

That’s what I thought but I’ve redone 50 twice.
I’m Fractal Level 50, have the “Core Fractal Hero” completed and also can’t open the 51
+ LFG window or go through the fractal gate at a level above 50. I was checking before I submitted a ticket…..I’m submitting a ticket.
Just chiming in so one more voice is heard:
FIRST PERSON VIEW!!!!!
Its not hard, you had it in GW1 and in Beta ….. come on!
I don’t want to use it regularly but the vistas are so nice, sometimes I just want me out of the way.
Came in after the above comments. 12-7-13 11:35 pm CST totals were not being shown in Chrome or Explorer. It hasn’t been fixed
Thank You Evan! It took a while to realize how differently people play this game and how it effects their actions. As a hold over from previous games (like GW1) I hold my mouse buttons down almost continuously and strafe using the right left toggle of the wheel and I honestly can’t see playing any other way. This should correct the problem.
From Evan’s responses Arena Net seems to consider this a minor, low priority issue. IT IS NOT. It is currently the most disruptive, CONSTANTLY annoying aspect of game play for me and my wife (both Rangers). She has stopped playing altogether. Your recent changes have actually made it worse for me, although I don’t know why except that now I end up getting pulled off target and targeting friendlies as well as enemies far away sometimes. It’s ridiculous
Just chiming in that I am having the same problem today in both IE10 and Chrome. Screen is same as those posted above. Completely unusable and this has been this way FOR MONTHS!
Oh ok, Thank you. I assume the PoI is there too. But, the Craigstaid instance for the Living Story is still there and probably shouldn’t be.

The Living Story still exists at Craigstead. It wants you to instance and relive it. I was waiting patiently for the end of the Living Story to complete Wayfarer Foothills.

Ok, so it was pure coincedence that the phishing email was sent after legitimate login verification emails from Arenanet. I apologize to the community for my foolish obstinance in the face of the obvious and thank you for your insistence. Hopefully the damage has been mitigated

Sorry mates but I will advise you of Anets response to the ticket. The only important point is that Anet has not included a verification notice warning in GW1. All the emails are from Arenanet and legitimate.

I appreciate everyones concern about the phishing scheme but the actions that occurred are consistent with Arenanets security procedures and the emails we received were from Arenanet.
1. We were NOT on our normal computers and logging in from new servers. we were logging in to GW1 NOT GW2 and both of us received the appropriate verification emails that should have prevented us from continuing. However, no warning was provided IN GAME on GW1 and so the emails were not responded to, but yet we were able to continue and play. We did this twice, and that raised an alarm at Arenanet .
All the addresses are legitimately Arenanet. They just have not implemented an ingame warning in GW1 when a verification requirement email is sent.
Verification requests were consistent with when we were logging in. We did not respond until much later so the verifications failed.

Comicus,
If you are on the same computer, at the same location, you only have to worry about it once. When you use a different computer on a different server, Arenanet will ask for verification via your email that you are the one doing this. Its a good security measure and I have no problem with it other than they have not gone back and fixed GW1 to give you a warning that the security verification is required and that they feel the need to acuse you of selling your account first and then figure out whats going on.

Thanks for the warning and that is scary, but it is very much from Arenanet. When I went to my email, there were two log in verification requests from when we logged into GW1 and the threatening email from Arenanet. My wife had the same thing. Response was to account.guildwars2.com/allow-login blah blah blah, through an https.
When I logged in to the forum, it gave me a warning, unlike logging into GW1 and I was able to verify the server and set it as allowable in the future.
Thanks again for the warning though and everyone should look their links over carefully before proceding

Arenanet never added a notification in GW1 that email verification was required to procede when logging in from a new server, like GW2 and this forum. You can log in and play, even though you did not verify your account. This has lead to a threatening email from Arenanet that states:
“It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal Guild Wars account(s). " further “If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently.”
My wife and I are visiting my mother, leaving our gaming computers behind and playing on our laptops. We play both GW1 and GW2 and because our laptops are not capable of playing GW2 we only have GW1 loaded. Also because of our location, we check our email less frequently. So we have gone through two GW1 sessions unaware that email verifcations were required. Arenanet has somehow interpreted this as us SELLING our accounts. What a crock.
We have both submitted support tickets and expect the accounts to remain ours and NOT closed, although I have no way to check that until next week.
So beware!. If you play GW1 from a new location you will get NO warning that your account may be threatened!
You’re standing in a room, with a gun with two bullets.
In the room with you are the Mad King, Zhaitan, and a lawyer.
Q. What do you do?
A. Shoot the lawyer twice.
Is there a way to adjust the sale price of an item you posted at the TP without taking it down and reposting it? If not, there should be.
Some great ideas. I think the best is to just allow your pet to be placed in both slots. Should be easy to implement and I don’t see that it would “unbalance” anything. Adding a revive button would be my favorite but that is probably hard to implement. Pet revival on a kill would be better than what’s happening now
Ok ArenaNet are you out there?…….
As a Ranger in GW1 I death leveled with my stalker/pet. When we left Pre I never switched out with another. “Legend” was as much a part of my character as my right arm.
When I brought my ranger into GW2 it was natural, even mandatory that I continue with the same persona. Even the storyline states “ He’s been with you as long as you can remember”
There’s no question that pet revival was a broken game mechanic that needed repair but the solution, switch pets, to me upsets the continuity of the character and story line and it’s just nonsequitor that your pet disappears and something comes up to replace it.
Is it just me being overly sentimental about a bunch of pixels? I don’t want to change pets, I want to keep my right arm, is that asking too much? I want to heal my pet, not toss it away.
