congratulations anet – finally proven that I am too old and too slow to play gw2. I usually make up for my bad reflexes and poor eyesight by being persistent and obstinate. However, after countless attempts and way too many hours of effort, I have been put in my place. I got close with the “dodgy crowd” but could never quite get over the hump, usually because of a pool at the boss’ feet, or dodging through a wind wall and directly into a pool. I hated to give up because I wanted the luminescent armor, but that’s just not to be. I dislike being a quitter, especially after 4 yrs of gw1 with a full h.o.m. and playing gw2 since launch, however I recognize that I no longer possess the skills required. Probably time to find a game more suited to my skills- solitaire maybe. I am raging with a bit of tongue in cheek here, but c’mon guys it’s just a game not a test.

You are missing it because you are trying to bruteforce it instead of adopting the right strategy, if someone overseas can do it with god know how much latency they get I doubt your reflexes are the problem.

How many more threads do people need to make about this? There are plenty already.

Maybe there are a lot of posts to this topic but more or less is just a discussion about if someone is missing this set or not. ;-)

I would like to know something new, or support other players who want the set back into the game.

My ele is very happy about 99.99% of the playerbase not being able to copy his look.

PvE is incapable of ever requiring skill so it’s pointless to change it.

Which team did you participate in the most recent dungeon tournaments?

Did any of those players have to play mindgames against the AI?

They still had to compete against other team times/beat other players. Are you trying to say that unless there is direct conflict between humans involved nothing takes skill?

I appreciate the value of constructive feedback but the online GW2 community just seems so ungrateful and unappreciative Just think of the negative image you are portraying for new/potential players. I think more people should know how great this game really is.

If I was Anet and I read all the crap people complain about I would find it a little disheartening. So I’m posting for the first and only time to say the following:

Anet, I love this game and I think you guys have done a fantastic job. Thank you for all your hard work! Dont forget there are people that really appreciate this game and work thats gone in to it.

New & Potential players, come and give this game a shot and decide for yourself if you like it Don’t get caught up in the negativity of some people . The complainers are the loudest voices but there is a great community in this game if you give it a try.

I dislike raids. It just breeds a hostile elitist community around it (not even counting the power-creeping gear treadmill which hopefully wouldn’t happen here, but I don’t believe they’ve ruled that out). And what for? So you can grind the same static thing over and over?

I really don’t see the appeal. Sure the first few times it can be awesome if it’s good content. But after you’ve mastered it (and expect everyone else too as well) ..how does that not get stale?

We should be pushing more more player-driven sandbox content. That’s way more dynamic with way more longevity. Give us more things we can do in the world. More ways to work together or against each other. More ways to “make our mark” in the world, personally, and as a guild. Grinding a bunch of instanced static encounters 100x couldn’t possibly sound less interesting. And the community it breeds is just another strike against it.

What, u want more escort, def, guard, protect dynamic event. The game can’t keep on cathering to casual player. Hardcore player would get bored and leave.

The most recent game that was made for the “hardcore audience”(Wild Star) flopped like no other in the history, Anet should take it as clear sign and just ignore this crowd.

This set is ridiculous and I will not be buying it.
For one, it completely removes charr tails. WHY? Even the horrendous clipping issues these outfits are notorious for were better then completely removing the tail.
Furthermore, I am sick and tired of “sex” gear being exclusively tied to female characters. No, I do not want my female character to look like a prostitute. No, I do not appreciate the inherent degradation and disrespect towards women that it shows, to only offer objectifying gear for female characters, and not for male characters.
Definitely not impressed.

I find it rather amusing how these threads are filled with people wanting a “high performance group” for phat lootz and yet they can’t seem to find a guild or likeminded people to run it regularly.

I mean GW2 has this multiguild feature and you can play with anyone in your own region, how hard could it be to form such a group?

Makes me wonder if these people are so insufferable that they can’t play together at all.
