Make a build utilizing toolbelt skills. With the lightening trait Static discharge they are extremely powerful.
Rifle turret gives you a toolbelt skill that recharges in 8 seconds. The other choices are yours. I think utility goggles analyze is great because it’s instant and may be casted at any time during any action or stun just like rifles toolbelt.
But there are other great ones, so check them out at Heart of Mist.
High crit and power makes these very bursty, and they’re especially powerful because sigils work with them.
It’s preferred rifle, but I’m a pistol man; I enjoy also having static shot which also hits all targets.
Oh, make sure you have bag space, because in PvE with static discharge, you hit ALL the monsters which are mobbing atm. That means you’re looting pretty much everything. D;! Bag space disappears quickly during big events.
I don’t want to give you a build because that ruins half the fun.
Then again, I’ll link you my favorite Engineers guide to his Power Engineer video guide which utilizes the toolbelt skills for burst.
This is his improved skill build:

No elixir S so it has more burst. But you should always tweak builds to your play-style; this guy is a pro, so he’ll obviously play better than you with his build.
No idea, Black Lion is down atm. It was the first dye I got. I’ve been golden boy ever since. xD
I don’t see why it’s such a big deal. You surely don’t want it to auto attack in PVP anyway. Even in PvE there are some monsters with retaliation, and reflects that’ll kill you if you have auto attack on.
But I guess having auto attack to trigger a skill as soon as you switch into a kit sounds handy.
On other classes, can you set a different auto attack for each weapon simultaneously, or is it just for the slot?
Because if it’s just auto attack on the slot; having no auto attack is no big deal at all; especially not to quit over.
I don’t understand your woes; if you can’t play with two kits, don’t. What do you mean being behind other classes? We have the most skills in the game. We have toolkits and all very important utilities. Our CC’s are very powerful. The blind in the flamethower is quick on cooldown, so you can stomp pretty much everyone in PVP without interruption problems because you can switch and cast it as you’re stomping them. Not to mention the knock back and fire field. As well as the very strong toolbelt skill that comes with it.
I don’t understand your woes. The no sigils on kits is kind of annoying, I wish that at least the kill target get bonus one worked.
Our bombs and nades are very powerful, their CC’s and conditions are very useful and strong. I for example just roll with bombs in PvE because of smoke, concussion, and glue allow me to kill all bosses, monsters, and foes with ease.
Mines allow GODLY blast finisher buffs with combos.
Our traits are awesome. Example, switching in and out of flamethrower just for the might is quite useful.
I don’t understand your woes.
It is called Redemption.
Big Ol’ Bomb does not apply a Blast Finisher! >:(
I thought Engineers were prettykittenOP in the right hands. Jump on Twitch.TV and you’ll be able to watch AC Erho, and Teldo play their engineers; you’ll change your mind if you think engineers are unbalanced or weak. Teldo for example takes on 4 v 1s as a walk in the park and wins almost all the time. He solos the lord in a few minutes if not seconds.
I believe once you play around with kits and skills, and get good at switching and figure out how you want to play, and how you’re going to do it. You will dominate in PVP and PvE.
PVE for engineers is too simple. PVP for engineers has a higher skill-cap, and it’s very noticeable from each engineer you see in a match.
So i believe engineers are perfectly balanced. It really comes down to your skill and effort put into your characters. Too often I’ve seen some engineers who can hold a point better than a Guardian, an engineer who conquers every match, and Engineers who burst with the best of them. Engineers are balanced. You need to utilize your skills and utilities and toolkits to the best of your ability, and learn the game. Learn about positioning, where you want to be in a fight. Timing on dodges and CC’s. The little things will improve your game quite a bit.
That’s why this game is great: Skill based!
Does anyone know the potential heal of this trait, is it even worth it?
