Everything about this expansion has been done very well. Every difficulty and gate seems tastefully done in good context.
I’m very disappointed with the criticism. I’m sorry, but to be brutally honest, it sounds like a bunch of millennial whining. They’re not getting their trophy after playing a whole weekend…
I’ve mostly played map events and the story. I’ve really enjoyed the story, except for the final which I haven’t completed. I don’t know whether it’s buggy or I’m just not understanding mechanics.
The density of explorable space is fantastic. I’ve never seen anything like it.
In short, I can see myself enjoying this content for a long time. Please, please, please don’t make drastic changes to the gates or difficulty. I can see that you’re already adapting some parts of the game to accommodate short-term, almost arcade style MOBA play. I don’t want instant gratification.
If the short attention span crowd kicks and whines and gets their way with GW2, I’ll need to find a different game. And I want to stick with GW2 for a long time.
Thank you for all you do. Your work is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I’m hearing that the root cause of this bug is the “Absolute Resolution” trait in the Virtues line, which is also causing a bug that limits the range to 600. And that removing this trait returns the healing to its previous base and returns the range to 800. I can’t test this right now…
During BWE3, and as documented in the wiki, this skill provided healing:
3,890 base, (0.75) multiplier
Now, it appears to provide:
1,625 base, (0.75) multiplier
This is a massive reduction — over 58%. I can’t find any references to this as a planned change.
I generally agree with the direction of lowering base heals and balancing up multipliers to encourage use of the Healing stat if you intend to provide substantial heals. I really enjoyed BWE3 running about 800 Healing and the original stats for this skill. I was able to provide some off-healing in the raid that actually made a difference when things were dicey.
This change is so substantial that I’ll probably give up Healing stat if it’s intended. Which would be a disappointment.
Please consider returning the base heal to it’s original value, increasing the multiplier to compensate, or confirming that the change is intended as-is.
Best regards.

A fresh round of SW on a map is declared for events. Several people start LFG taxi advertisements and bring people in for the event map. 3/4 or 4/4 of the forts are taken. Commanders and tags are in-place. The event is at about 15-25%. Things are going great.
2-4 people come on the map and declare it’s a chest map. They’re informed that it’s not a chest map, but an event map.
They advertise and invite for chest map anyway. Any attempt to reason with them results in responses like “CAN’T STOP THE CHEST TRAIN CHOO CHOO”, or “I don’t see your name on this map”, etc.
There’s already been considerable time and effort in the event run. But this pretty much blows it, because a split map won’t do events well.
I’ve seen this several times lately… Is this addressable by ANet? What’s the best way to deal with it, or report it?
Tomorrow's PoI: What do you want to know about Pact Commander masteries?

Describe the type of player that should find the Pact Commander line appealing. Who was this line made for?
There will be many different lines to choose from… What kind of player should consider making Pact Commander a priority, instead of choosing other lines?
Thank you.
Hi folks,
I was excited to see a 20% off special on remaining Living World Season 2 unlocks. I still have two episodes, 2 and 3, that are locked.
I’ve searched through the Gem Store, including the Upgrades section as described in today’s patch notes, and cannot find any Living World Season 2 Complete Pack that the patch notes described.
How may I get these episodes at the advertised discount?
Thanks,
Taarak
For those of us with multiple monitors, I’m requesting a feature I’ve seen in several other games: the ability to select which monitor GW2 uses for “fullscreen” or “windowed fullscreen” modes. Currently, GW2 will only display on the primary monitor when using these modes.
While some work-arounds exist they each cause other issues, all of which would be addressed if a secondary/tertiary monitor could be selected in lieu of the primary as part of the graphics settings.
The only current way to approximate this behavior is to use “windowed” mode, which of course includes unwanted o/s elements and dead space.
Any casual search will show that this feature request has been present with a steady stream of requests over time, in the form of your customers asking how to accomplish it. Therefore, I believe it could help a significant number of players. Thank you for your consideration.
Greetings,
I’d like for the powers-that-be to know that I will gladly purchase additional gems with US dollars, if I can spend those gems to mute the speech from the Job-o-Tron backpack account-wide. I would pay up to 1000 gems for the option to never hear it again in-game.
Thank you for your consideration.
Working now after the new version that just arrived. Oh happy day! Time to clear some bags…
I appear to be having the same issue as described.
I’ve never had this problem previously. Cleared cache in localappdata/temp, rebooted… Nothing seems to help.
