Let the uber players have the uber skins. How awesome would that skin be if everyone had it? Or if it was available on the cash shop? It would be cool for a day or two, then become “just another skin everyone has”.

I’ve been a level 80 since a week or so after launch and I still haven’t even come close to getting a legendary. When I see them, I admire them. Maybe one day I’ll work towards getting one. That’ll give me a goal for a few days or weeks.

6 months from now, the people that did the work and run around with sick Halloween skins will be proud that they have them. You’re right, it’s the GW2 1%, good for them. If everyone had the best stuff, the best stuff would just seem like junk.

The best / coolest looking items in the game shouldn’t have a 50% drop rate. No matter how much I wish I could have them. It really is for the 1%, that’s OK. That adds prestige to the items.

And the people that spam fear to knock people into the water to make them lose their costumes? That’s not harassment?

Depending on how much I’ve had to drink, it can take me a long time to get into that cauldron.

I’ve got an 80 Engineer and I’m working on a Guardian (level 30). I guess it depends on your play style, but if you’re doing WvW the grenades are awesome for keeping enemies off the walls during sieges. And keeping enemies away when defending.

I’m still trying to get a feel for the guardian and I’m sure they’ve got a ton of uses (specially for helping your friends), but I’d vote for engineer just for the nades and CC. The lack of ranged damage is what bothers me with the guardian in WvW. Then again, my opinion will likely change when I hit level 80. I’m really enjoying leveling my guardian which I didn’t expect.

Throwing my hat into the ring as well. It’s surprising how much lag I get in dungeons (it’s probably related to the time I do dungeons instead of actually being in a dungeon).

This is the fastest ISP I’ve ever had, so it’s not like I’m on a crappy connection. I can download the game itself in about an hour.

Thankfully Torchlight 2 is out, but I’d prefer some GW2. It’s just way too frustrating to play in extreme lag. I log in every day, then rage quit after 10 minutes of beating the hell out of my keyboard trying to get skills to work.

“Swap to this weapon” sigils don’t work when swapping from kit to weapons.

For PvE and WvW I wouldn’t leave the house without 10 in Tools (speedy kits) and medkit for perma-swiftness.

Most people (myself included) tend to focus on Crit/Condi/Power stats when choosing their gear and traits. Then they wonder why they keep getting one-shotted. Invest in some vitality and/or toughness. Stay alive long enough to see your foes defeated.

I’ve got a sigil that’s supposed to give me might when I switch to my shield, and freeze enemies when I switch to my pistol. It doesn’t seem like they do anything when I go from a kit to my weapons. Do those sigils only work for weapon swapping classes?

I guess it depends on how close South Hampton and Cornwall are. I’ve had mine report my IP as being from Ramstein (about 10-15 miles away from my city Kaiserslautern).

My problem is that I have to authenticate every time my IP address changes. Even when I’m playing the game it’ll stop and boot me. Then I have to reauthenticate.

Arenanet, any chance users can white list their whole ISP? I’ve had to authenticate 4 times in the past 35 hours.
