I was a bit disappointed to learn about some of the new changes to WvW that included a limiting on the amount of enemy players that could be effected by the Aoe of catapults, arrow carts, and other siege. To me, siege in WvW was a great equalizer when fighting groups that were far larger than your team. Changes like this, as well as the increase in damage players now do to tower doors, makes zerging more viable and WvW less strategic.
My suggestion is a debuff that would occur when a certain amount of allies were within a certain space at the same time. Ideally, this would be a movement penalty of some sort. For example: If me and 30 of my teammates are all standing in the same spot in front of the front keep door we would be hit with a movement penalty, or “crowding” unless we spread out a bit.
I think something along these lines would add a lot more strategy and less zerging to WvW battles.

The solution to better WvW matchups comes down to the players. If you are waiting 2 to 3 hours to get into WvW on an overpopulated server, transfer to a lower pop server. If you are a guild leader, take your guild with you.
If you play WvW for fun and challenging fights, you won’t regret the move. Taking and holding a keep from a server that has you outnumbered is much more fun and rewarding anyway.
