Over 9k matches with top 200 ladder exp solo queue. Looking to hit top 100 in current patch. I have understanding of all 8 profs, rotation, comp proficiencies, ect. Battle proficiencies consist of reading builds (condi, power, support/hybrid, brawler, bunker, etc…), whether to stomp or damage out, not getting nuked even on my own glass specs, quickly adapting to teammate play-styles, cooldown callouts of self and enemies, spawn cooldowns, etc. etc.. etc… Plenty of experience to bring to the table. My friend and I are currently looking for a moderately serious PvP guild with advanced players. We were able to develop dominating builds within the first hour of the new patch release. Our first duo guardian match resulted in us spawn camping the enemy team in a 2v4. My first courtyard match on thief while my friend played guardian was won 500/100 within under 1 minute. My thief play is top tier. I currently have all 8 profs and will have the 9th slot available for Rev on release. Again, I personally have over 9,000 matches played with top 200 Ladder exp. My friend is sitting at 208 matches played, but has extensive history in FPS’s. Please trust me when I say that he is quite capable in the pvp field. We both have mic’s. We are not looking for a solid team as of yet, but rather, looking for a guild that is willing to participate with us in dominating the pvp zone. I’m not apologizing for being upset. Rather, I am apologizing with how I handled the situation. I was upset, and made a post that was not as pleasant as this and also sent in-game chat messages that were not as pleasant. My response to the situation at the time before this post was irrational. I completely understand if my data cannot be erased, for I am who I am, because of who I was. At the same time, the death of an entity is the birth of a new one. Such is my belief, anyways. I just wish Arena Net the best in their endeavors, and ask that they and the community they created, forgive me.

Dear Arena Net,

I was formerly upset (along with many others) about the previous decision to give new players a greater purchase advantage over veteran players.

After personal contemplation, I am grateful for the final decision of Arena Net to add a character slot to the pre-purchase package for veteran players.

I have also come to careful consideration, that maybe we all did overact a tad bit, including myself. Let us not forget, that there is still no monthly sub fee for this game, just a one time purchase. For future reference, I believe it would be best to provide a simple pole or petition for the community to participate in, rather than jumping to such rash decisions. Let us not forget, that it is such hasty judgement that has led American culture to the ill-fated situations of recent times on much more serious scale than just a video game.

The Request:

This may seem a bit out of the ordinary, but I would like to formally request that my account be wiped of any social history. My reason for this proposal, is that I myself, have been toxic to the community in far too many instances.

Profile requests:
Profile name change
Name change for all characters on account
Eradication of all current forum history
Friends list, block list, and pending requests deletion
If an account reset is the only way to achieve this, I will gladly take such a fate in honor of becoming a new me

To the community,

I am sorry for the things of the past that I have said that were ill among my fellow walkers in the land of Tyria. For each instance of negativity that i have brought forth, I have subsequently eliminated the chance to provide a positive occurrence within each of those situations. This would essential equate to 2 steps back, rather than 2 steps forward.

Even if my requests cannot be met, I am humbly apologetic, and shall abide by the code of honor for which I had originally agreed upon when signing up for this game in beta, before it’s release.

Thank you so much for creating a progressive thinking platform/environment in which people from around the world can gather, share ideas, live, and die (PvP for life). I always preach to others of how we should treat one another with kindness in the greater prospect of prosperity for all. I believe it is time for me to carry out those words in this virtual instance of reality, for it has just as much an impact.

This time, it’s called: Stronghold. Although there is nothing wrong with the map itself, nor the overall game-play, there are simply far too many similarities between it and a few other ideas already existent in the game:

Supply caches – WvW
Guild Lords – Legacy of Foefire
Treb – WvW/Battle of Khylo

Map overall: Washed out version of League of Legends.

In my opinion, I do not believe this map should even exist. It was a quick attempt to throw something together to make the PvP community quiet for a little bit longer. I’ve been playing this game since beta release. I would really like to see something done with all the potential that PvP has. I will be releasing foot-notes on a project idea soon that does an amazing job at tying in WvW with PvE and PvP.

I honestly love this game… I just wish I could have been a developer for it. This game is sadly beyond repairing it’s damage calculation, as there have been too many changes to the values stemming across skills, traits, base stats, evades, etc… I would absolutely love to be a part of the Development team for Guild Wars 3. I don’t want to “run the show”, I just want to add a bit of flavor to make it a game that will be balanced at the core, rather than around the edges. Hopefully someone sees this and gives considerable thought to hearing some of my ideas:

Providing an aesthetic update: New armor slot allowing you to imbue your armor with crystal infusions, making them glow with your color of choice, in the provided pattern.

1v8/8v1 Jump Puzzle PvP?
I also have an almost completed written description of a new PvP zone that would better tie together WvW and PvE.

I have more ideas!

Because, why not?
Turrets have the innate capability to protect their owner with a multitude of buffs.
Provide team support through a a wide array of CC.
They can repair themselves.
Thumper turret.
Provide team AOE defense against projectiles.
Can provide point control even when player is on another planet.
Explode after being destroyed, which can provide DAMAGING… AOE… CC…
Explode after being destroyed, becoming a blast finisher.
In case of emergency, may be dropped in mass in order to destroy any hopes of happiness in the eyes of all Quaggan infants.
Provide ample defense for the player, and even give the player vigor so that they may dodge-roll evade more in order to use more turrets.

I just had an idea on how to essentially improve the selection of players that would be allowed to perform in Tournament PvP.

By creating a ladder system for normal matches (browser/non-tournament), you would provide the environment in which anyone can play, but primarily your teams would hold the top spots like the current ladder system. However, in this updated system, the top 1000 NPvP players would be allowed access to the queue button for TPvP. This would eliminate that percentile spectrum of players that have either not fully developed the appropriate skills to perform at those calibers, or those that simply use TPvP as a build test.

I have seen this game go through many different high end guilds and 5 player static teams. I have been a part of a few such groups and also enjoyed casual play. I have discovered new and exciting builds time and time again before they went mainstream. Am I claiming to be their creator? Negative. Rather, I am saying I have had the capacity to crunch the numbers within this game in order to present, time and time again, better-that-“meta” builds. I am a team oriented player who understands that one must proved team assistance in a format that may call for the removal of some selfish properties, but yet must be capable of handling their own in at least a one on one situation.

I have a mic and headphones. I can use any voice communication software, installed or not (pending installment). Entire team must be able to communicate due to variables being forever random (unless you can read peoples minds and also see into the future).

I have all characters up to a minimum of level 20 and are all capable for pvp.
Although i have primarily played thief for an apparent 50% of my career, I understand it’s current lack in tournament pvp in comparison to a few other professions. I find that my necro build is extremely viable as well as being my personally chose playstyle.

I am currently available for practice. (Thread Still pending.)

Apparently you’ve never heard of WoW. World of Warcraft, whilst not entirely comparable to Guild Wars 2, was an MMO that had a successful PvP player base in the marketable/competitive scene. WoW has Arena Tournament worlds that are exclusive to those who wish to pay an entrance fee. Please do your research before making such a post.

What provoked this post? The fact that a teammate and i both attempted to kill an opposing ranger while in his downed phase underwater, and we both died in the process. How has this not been fixed yet? It’s been going on for MONTHS.

ArenaNet, please hire me so i can speed up the process of this game being e-sports ready. I have found countless instances of lacking information, bugs, and the combinations thereof. The amount of PvP content in comparison to the amount of PvE content is laughable at best. There are still over one HUNDRED traits that need to be redefined. There are professions that still need EXTREME re-calculation in order to gear them towards appropriate balancing. You should also highly consider coming out with additional PvP content before you attempt to balance professions. Also, the level of professionalism makes the use of such a term an oxymoron. The simple fact that the company requires such a staggering amount of help from the community shows a great fall-out in overall creative intelligence in my opinion. I have seen countless players of varying skill leave this game due to the lack of concern for the PvP player base. I have a resolve to this. Please contact me.

The next time i want the title of MY post changed, i will so ask for it ANet. You are beginning to walk upon thin ice with a very dissatisfied customer. If you wouldn’t mind, i would love to go through and fix virtually every post by Jon Peters. However, i do not have the personal time to attend to THAT many grammatical errors.

Thief + 100% crit on next attack sigilx2. run d/d and d/d.

5 + w/s + 1, 1, 1, 1

if there were no cooldown on weapon swap, you could insure a 100% crit on backstab every 3.5 seconds (up to 3.25 with haste), without actually having the trait required to do so. This would make that trait entirely pointless.

I came to this game with the intentions of playing Mortal Kombat in an MMO format. Obviously, GW2 is not MK. However, the notable comparisons are there along with many other features pulled from other games. What i am actually upset with, is the lack of intelligent design here. Why would you implement “profession” changes without having all possible play lists already available? ArenaNet, you have made a serious and time consuming error. With the eventual release of other game variants, it was easy to foresee GW2 as becoming the next big eSports game. However, due to very poor planning, you will have to waste more company time, and player time in order to revamp the “professions” of GW2, yet again. The general player base of the GW2 PvP community may say that there need to be continual “profession” balances, but this is only because it is at the forefront of most players thought. However, subconsciously, all players are getting rather heated over the issue, that there is only one game variant and only five maps. This would all be excusable if the maps actually had some decent effort put into their construction and not just blocks slapped together. I am very glad that the employee’s of the company are being treated so handsomely (brand new ipads), yet the players (how you are making money to begin with) have not been presented with anything more than “just another MMO”. The concept for a game to be entirely based on teamwork is a very flawed concept. The paid tournaments only have a select few teams that actually play. This is largely due to the fact that it is not conceivable to beat the teams that have had the chance to get to know itself as a whole. There is nothing wrong with the previous statement, aside from the fact, that people have a very large tendency to want to cooperate among players of similar qualities. The current guild system has contributed to this problem, quite possibly more so than any other aspect of the game. To allow players to freely swap between 5 guilds, brings forth that result that 4 of these guilds, will eventually be ignored or just “used” in order for the player to achieve their goals for the primary guild. The concept of a “Lone Wolf” game is much more appealing in this respect, because now the player only has to worry about themselves as opposed to the possible downfall that teammates can bring upon them, or that they themselves, may bring upon their team. This game will not prosper because of simple psychological concepts that the human race has brought to the peak of consciousness. This game can easily be salvaged and brought back to primary attention for the overall gaming community, however, this is highly unlikely because as a major company, the best possible solution, would be to listen to the greatest power, or so one would think. Regardless, if the direction of GW2 is to be entirely team based, then that is perfectly fine. Although, i would say to this, enjoy your days of being successful, because they are rather short. Next time, introduce more material for all aspects of the game, and then make the modifications. Don’t release a game where players can obtain over half of the desired levels within a beta… Again though, cheers to the iPads, you all really earned them…

When playing an elementalist profession, if you are to cast the spell Shocking Aura in between the initial cast of Ride the Lightning and the end of Ride the Lightning’s duration, you will not receive any buffs aside from the aura itself, obviously if you have your given traits set up to provide buffs on any aura usage.
