I will add my name to the list of people requesting a change, and say it will affect my future purchases if the system remains so inflexible.

I bought the khaki cargo shorts for three characters, because they look so CUTE in them. I was looking forward to adventuring in them under the new system: Cargo shorts with some boots and a nice top.. mix-and-match! Dress up is fun! But I find out today that it’s a tonic that doesn’t work in combat, and doesn’t work with other gear? Even if it wasn’t a tonic, I can’t mix-and-match outfits either?

Please make this wardrobe system much more flexible, as is found in any other games (MOST other games in fact!). If it remains this way, I must refund all my clothing turned into “tonics”, but I’ll also not be buying clothes in the gem shop because I can’t mix-and-match.

I was planning on a shopping spree to buy new clothes with your new system, but the limitations you impose make me say “no!” I won’t be putting my money to support this weird and restrictive system.

Just make them all skins with no armor restrictions as others have suggested. Turn my flame legion pants into cargo shorts? Sounds good to me! And I’ll even pay for the transmute stone. Win-win.

Time to rethink town clothing

As it is they lose money from many other people because they can’t be worn over armor. I for example, won’t spend a dime on them due to that. If they could be worn over armor I’d buy most every outfit out there.

This is true. I would have already bought the Executioner’s outfit, and the khaki shorts, and probably other town outfits. But since they’re useless to me outside of town where I spend most of my time adventuring, I didn’t buy them. Too bad too, my charr and asura look so cute as executioner’s, I might have bought multiple outfits!

If Anet wants to make this limiting decision, they pay the price and I don’t buy gems. A poor decision for them, I think. But more money in my pocket.

Play the game your way – but no wearing town clothes in combat!

I’ll chime in here and add my frustration to the mix. If living story is taking precedence over basic bugfixes, then please change your priorities. Broken runes, broken slaying potions, etc. Saying “we’re looking into it” is great at first, but after 2, 4, 6+ months, it’s just lip service and insulting.

My guardian has been wearing 6 runes of strength for months, assuming that it’s about to be fixed. Hope springs eternal.

I actually refunded a recent gem purchase due to multiple bug frustration and lack of response. Please fix these things, and give me a reason to buy more.

Slaying Potions, the double-edged sword

Would appreciate an update here. Two weeks seems a little lengthy to do a numbers check to see if the potions are working properly or not.

I haven’t used a potion in weeks.

1) Ascended gear / gear grind.

I did not quit WoW just to grind in yet another game or suffer another treadmill. And soon to be added ascended armour to grind? No!

2) Class balance

I play a warrior and guardian and know what they can do. I’d love to play my engineer or necromancer more, but those classes are an unnecessary “hard/slow mode”.

3) Reliance on RNG rather than skill or achievement.

Best rewards are from grinding and random loot drops (precursors, rare skins). Questing/dungeoneering does little more than earn gold for which to trade to those lucky enough to get a RNG drop.
