you can right click to block an invader and their account will show up on your block list

block them, then add to your friend list. That’s how you go about doing it. Honestly, the block option shouldnt even be on the context menu in WvW for opposing players. You cant see them speak in any channel iirc, so there’s no reason TO need to block them.

Yup, target them, block them, double click on their account name in the block list to bring up the whisper, or add to friends list, be sure to unblock if you want a response. Or yeah just party up with them.

That’s all HoT is. A rehash of existing gw2 content that’s exactly the same except they put up walls barricading content you originally already had access to. The people defending this are just those who were stupid enough to buy HoT. They kno deep down that it wasn’t the expansion it should have been. They just need a reason to justify the price they paid for it…this is how they do it lol.

They could put a mastery barricade over using and placing siege in the next update and HoT owners would PRAISE IT! It’s the only way they can reaffirm that they were right to buy into the expansion.
Alternatively if they put it in the gemstore and made people buy auto loot and the carrier with cash the HoT owners would be the ones to COMPLAIN! Non HoT owners wouldn’t. Such hypocrites! These are not intelligent people, and anet knows it.

I would buy it from the gemstore simply by converting gold into gems. You can call me a hypocrite ofcourse but to get access to HoT stuff, you need to buy it.

You also go to the grocery store saying “hey man i come here to shop every week, now i want them for free?” – I justify HoT purchase with my times spend ingame – several hours a day every day.

I know! It is so insulting that HoT has paid for all of the other free stuff that vanilla players have gotten in WvW! I mean, new BLs, revamped old BLs, new mechanics, population adjustments, reward tracks. It’s so insulting that all of that is free. Everything should be free.

Either buy the expansion and come enjoy all the other great stuff in HoT, or appreciate all of the free upgrades you have actually been given. Not too much sympathy will be had here.

And FYI: Autoloot is exclusive to the HoT mastery system for PvE. Why should it not be HoT exclusive for WvW?

Pay to loot? You are saying this as if you cannot pick up loot manually or as if loot doesn’t drop unless you own HoT…

To bad, so sad, buy the expansion or learn to press ‘F’ (hot key may vary) as everyone who’s ever played wvw has had to do for over 3 and a half years.

I’m not from a low or a high tier server, and the pairing hasn’t bothered me that much. In our pairing I’m on the higher tier server. There have been crazy queues compared to what we were used to, but with the patch just launching Friday and it being weekend that doesn’t surprise me much. I think it will get better for us. I also don’t have any complaints about the server we got linked with. I do feel kind of bad for the smaller servers that their identity indeed seems to be wiped out a bit. It wasn’t supposed to be a server merge, but it kind of feels like that anyway. I saw a post in this topic a couple of pages back about how the smaller servers are pretty much just slaves for the bigger servers now and it seems about right. They hardly get any credit. You pretty much only see their name when you hover over the name of the bigger server in the WvW screen. xD I feel like there should be a more fair way to solve this if Anet wants to go through with the linking. Because I actually can understand where all these people who say they’ve lost their server identity are coming from.

Besides that I also agree with people who said that the linking will definitely not be a welcome change for everyone. I myself have always been fine on my mid tier server, but I know people who chose to be on high tier servers (and are used to queues and blobs and don’t mind them that much). I also know people who deliberately moved to lower tier servers because they just wanted to play in a less intense environment, without queues and sixty man blobs. I can imagine that these players are now lost. They enjoyed that form of WvW and they could choose to be on a server that allowed for it. The ones that didn’t enjoy it, could choose to be on higher tier servers. I don’t feel like one playstyle is less than the other, they were just different and you could choose what suit you best. Now that choice is gone because everything will be the same. Queues and big blobs, there is no room for those people who wanted the less intense environment anymore. I hope Anet will come up with a solution for them as well, even though I’m not one of them.

Why we needed another is beyond me. OP is very much the minority and comes across as abrasive in most posts. It seems this is more directed at stirring up drama but of course that is hard to tell over the Internet.

Project Knighthood is well organized, active and currently still looking for new members. Leadership is great, guild is friendly and the foundations for an upcomming strong guild is already built. The fun part is being apart of something and helping it become greater. Playing by yourself? You should give us a try.

Well, this is annoying. So any guild with less than 10k influence is just shafted? Was this made clear beforehand, so guilds with less than 10k would know to spend what little influence they had influence before the change took place? If so, I missed it. Now I am stuck with 8k influence that could have been used productively instead being completely useless, with no way to increase it or spend it.

I really hope this is implemented already and I just can’t find the button If not please, oh please implement this! Paid for service is fine with me, just let us change our guild names and tags please!

Yes, Guild Rename option please! I made a guild earned and bought influence and did upgrades. Then realized that I made a spelling error.

I guess there is no way for us to move this thread over to the suggestion area?

I agree! This should be added, would be a great feature.

+1, I can’t think of any reason why guilds shouldn’t be allowed to rename besides hurting their own reputation.

Hello there! With HoT being just around the metaphorical corner, a whole wave of new things will soon be added to Tyria, and preparations are indeed in order!

Rimfire is looking to grow and expand a little, which is where you come in. We are looking to recruit new and veteran players alike, that are looking for somewhere to learn and grow/ Kill and mess some stuff up, all while having a great laugh along the way. We put a great value on mate-ship, as really we’re all here for some top notch fun!

About Us:
Server – We are based on Sorrow’s Furnace (Preferred but not necessary at all).
VoIP – We have our own TS3 server.
Play type – We mainly focus on PvE (Dungeons/Fractals/World Bosses/ Map Completion etc) and sometimes settle in for some WvW Shenanigans.
The Guild – We’re indeed a small guild with 13 players at the moment. Most guildies so far are Australian, however being an Aussie definitely isn’t necessary. We aren’t ones that go crazy over meta and things, you like your character like that? Awesome!

So, if you’re looking for pretty relaxed environment in which you’ll know and get along with everybody, to play and progress through all Gw2 has to offer, Rimfire may be the place for you!
