Superior Rune of the Soldier: Let the 6th set skill that removes conditions when a shout is used, apply to banners as well. Meaning, let the condition removal apply when banners are summoned.
OR
Superior Rune of Lyssa: Allow the 6th set skill that removes conditions when an ELITE skill is used, apply to Warbanner’s AoE. As for the “gain all boons for 5 seconds”, I have no idea if it should apply on an AoE scale. But it IS an elite skill that is being used so why not?
OR
Allow Tactics Banners to remove one condition when summoned. (or two
?)
Thanks for the response!
It would make banners extremely fun to use if some of these things were added as new features. Considering how long the cooldown for Warbanner is. (I wouldn’t want a lower cooldown because the fact that it revives people is great as it is) Also considering how much karma or gold would be needed for a full Lyssa set, Anet should consider this. (It may not seem like much for veterans, but this would allow newer banner warriors to play a fun role that not many seem to embrace.) You make a great point with the Superior Rune of the Soldier. Why wouldn’t they add at least some sort of condition removal for banners? It doesn’t have to remove ALL conditions but even one or two would make banner warriors feel effective and more enjoyable. I understand though that if this were to happen there would be a large number of guardians with their own opinions about it. Also considering the buff banners have received, this might be asking for too much. It would however, be extremely awesome.
So here’s my suggestion, allow Warbanners to remove at least 1 condition on an AoE scale when summoned. Revive, 5 stacks of might, and 1 AoE condition removal would make somewhat of a difference. Plus the cooldown on the skill would keep it balanced.
Question: Does a full set Lyssa rune, (Use of elite skill removes all conditions and grants boons) apply to Warbanner?
Meaning, if I were to use a full Lyssa set, and I drop my Warbanner, would it remove all conditions on an AoE scale? Or would it only apply to me?
I know Warbanners itself have stability, but I’m wondering if it would remove ALL conditions for any ally that gets hit with the Warbanner AoE. Also, pairing it with a tactics banner would also mean heals would trigger the “When you use a healing skill you gain a random boon for 10 seconds. (10 sec CD)” correct?
Just a thought, let’s say an elementalist drops water AoE heals, and I drop my banner as a combo, and that blast results in heals, would it also give off boons to allies that were healed in that AoE? It might sound stupid but it would make stacking might a lot easier than having to look out for specific times to stack might AoE.
This all came up as an idea after I wondered why there weren’t any condition removing banners.. (Although stability is great, condition removal would only make it THAT much better) Also, I understand that Guardians are the condition removal specialists. So please don’t post saying “this is dumb if you wantz condition removalz and boonz play guardianz”. I’m just curious to find out how far a banner warrior’s abilities can go when paired with certain runes.
This is in terms of WvW or even PvE.
Also, does the Reflecting Missiles trait still work with mace blocks?
So I encountered a bug thats preventing any story progress.. The level 78 quest Hunters and Prey.. At the part where you fight the spiders and the Whisper Agent is supposed to die after you kill the spiders the Priory Explorer revives her thus preventing events from triggering.. I have tried walking around and triggering the fight then fighting the spiders but it still occurs! Sometimes even Kekt doesn’t completely die… Anet has to seriously fix this I couldn’t believe they left such a huge bug in the game… Remove NPC revive behavior for this quest!!!
