So I’m in crystal desert, and we never seem tobe able to get enough people for wurm. Does mega server affect this? I thought everyone gets brought into a single map, no matter which server ur from. Am I right? If not, which sever can I guest to do wurm?

So i decided to return to GW2 a few weeks ago, and realised that my original guilds are mostly dead, so now im here to look for another PvE guild.

Your world’s colors are determined by their overall rating. Normally (out of the tournament), these ratings have been accumulated over months/years or so (not too sure on the actual mechanics), but in a tournament, aside from the first match-ups, each world’s ratings are only from the duration of the tournament. This means that what color your world ends up as depends on how they did the previous weeks; and unless you’re in NA gold league, the match-ups should be pretty unique and there is a higher chance of changing colors unless your world wins/loses all the time.

so its the tournament month, and im missing one map in WvW in order to get my twilight, so does any1 know whether if a server would go through all colours during the 4 weeks of tournament or is it still completely random?

I really hope it does not come out! I don’t know y people r crying about not getting a precursor, therefore not being able to craft a legendary. I’m sick of people whining about it.
First of all, it’s just a SKIN! it does not provide more dmg than ascended, it’s not a ‘must get’ kind of item, which makes u ‘godly’. Neither is this an end game weapon.
Secondly, if u REALLY want the skin, then u HAVE TO work hard for it. Does it make urself seem ‘unique’ if everybody runs around with one? The whole thing about legendaries is their unique skins, nothing more, nothing less.

All these KIDS whining about not getting their legendary is getting me really annoyed. I mean if u really want it, go find a job, work for a week, there u have it. However some people is against spending money for their precursor, well, think about it this way, u are working for ur legendary, except, in a different way, the most efficient way. Have u ever thought about the time investment u would have to put in, in order to farm for one?

So stop whining about it, but instead, get on with ur grind, either playing hardcore, or use a weeks wage and get it over with. Simple as that.

Lastly, for all of u waiting for craft able precursors, use ur common sense. Does Anet want everyone to run around with a legendary? I doubt their would rely the new method(if they decide to introduce one) on time gated items, as everyone would be able to obtain one in this way, soon or later. It still would depend on RNG and gold and require time investment. Maybe all three.

Also you are looking for T6 farming spots, but don’t want the community to know? While I get that you fear a nerf, or people finding a way to exploit it, but it seems silly that you are publicly asking for farm locations, but don’t want a public answer :P

Fractals are good if you have a fast group and a PRL that is high enough.

EOTM is good if you are lacking the above two items.

If anything, warrior’s survival was slightly buffed due to overall damage across all classes going down.

And of course, the addition of traits like +1000 toughness on stun break is a pretty big buff for certain builds.

cos i mainly PvE, do u know whether if any other class builds would surpass warriors?

Okay, so basically, from my interpretation, warriors r getting only one nerf, which is the -8% passive for HS, which i dont really mind, cos i dont depend on it for survival. As for the crit dmg, crit chance conversion to ferocity, it applies to all classes, so i dont know why everyone is fussing abut it. but i just got some questions that im unsure of the answers to.

Firstly, how much would the new conversion to ferocity decrease zerker warrior’s dmg? for example, i main a full zerker GS warrior, say if i hit 35k with the last hit of HB, how much would that decrease by after the patch? i read different threads, but they all say that it would decrease more than 10%, which is different from the release notes.

Secondly, would warriors’ dps rating drop below any other classes after patch for PvE? and would there be a new warrior dps build after the release?

Just a quick question, one of my guildies told me that we are getting free transfers in mid march, which is coming up real soon. Is that true or just a rumor, can someone verify plz. If it’s true, can someone explain how it’s going to work?

Seriously! I’m over it! Im never going to do any arah path with any pugs, it’s just so frustrating! I run arah on a daily basis, it’s the thing I spend most of my GW2 time on, for the gold, tokens and fun. But I keep getting those noobs who don’t know what to do and what to expect. Usually im a nice person, I don’t mind getting one or two nubies, but sometimes 3 first timers is just asking too much of me. I also don’t mind explaining the path and lupi to them, but sometimes they don’t even listen to u, they go about doing their own thing, for example, try to ooc, but instead, dragging more adds along. So at the end of the day, I end up having to deal with nearly every aspect of the run, jumping on and off my mesmer and warrior, to dps and to portal people around, it’s getting way to tiring. I spent nearly the whole day today, doing every single arah path, when I can do all paths with my mate and his friends in like 2 hrs.

So r there any arah guilds or groups out there? Plz leave ur contact details below if u don’t mind me tagging along with u.

Hey man! I start GW2 not long ago, and back when I started, which was only about 3 month ago, I was exactly like you, until someone helped me out a bit. I used to think leveling was slow, and neither did I understand the term ‘train’, but now I’m here with 3 lvl80s and a considerable amount of gold. So let me help u out here a bit.

Firstly, train is the term used to describe a group of players who run around on a map, in ur case, queensdale, to defeat champions in a specific order. Now, those champions are actually events, group events, which means that u gain a considerable amount of exp per champion. As the train goes from one champ to the next in like no time, u r constantly gaining exp, which can help out a lot. People may say it’s boring, which I totally agree, but back when I was a total noob, I actually enjoyed it, cos it was one of my most efficient and reliable way to level.

Now, as u have already picked ur crafting professions, I guess u know what crafting is all about. Crafting can get u a lot of exp, each crafting profession has its own individual level, if u lvl a profession from 1-400, this will give u +7 character lvls. However, crafting requires a large amount of materials, therefore, if u don’t have the materials, u would have to waste some gold to buy them. Now, some professions r much much more cheaper to lvl than others, for example cooking only costs around 3 gold to get to 400, and this would give u 7 lvls. http://gw2crafts.net, I use this website to lvl my professions, as they would tell u the cheapest way to lvl a crafting profession. Mind u, u can forget ur current professions and learn new ones any time u want, they r not fixed.

What I did was that, I followed the train, for exp and loots, then I sell the loots on TP for gold. Using the gold, I bought materials for crafting. If I ever get bored, I would do some personal story, which would give u a large amount of exp.

As for u blue tokens, u use them to learn new utility skills, the reason y u can only use one utility skill is that ur personal lvl is low, as u level up, more slots would open, then u can put more skills on. For u level, don’t hesitate to use all ur tokens, only start saving them after u have unlocked all the skills that u need.

Dungeons r a great source of exp, u get 75% of ur exp bar filled every run, no matter what level u r and what dungeon u r running. However, running dungeons do require some experiences as each dungeon has 3-4 pathes to choose from, and u need to know what to do for every path. I suggest YouTube it before running. But, some groups require 80s only, so it would be hard to join a group for dungeons at lower levels. But in the end, dungeons r fun and rewarding.

I don’t mind taking u to a few dungeon runs when u get to lvl35. Just add me in game and whisper me.

Not saying using sword in dungeons is good in any way shape or form, but my gripe with people running full berserker is that alot of noobs go on to the forum, see everybody on the forum swear by full berserker gs/axe+mace build like it is the holy grail of everything.

Then they go into a dungeon and die like 10-15 times. Half the time they aren’t even DPSing and are using bladetrail because every time they go into melee they get melted. So in actuality, how much DPS are you REALLY doing? You are also cutting other people’s DPS in half by making them have to pick you off the floor every time. That makes you a liability if I am not mistaken.

I’d much rather take a person with Valk or Knight gear or Cavalier, that doesn’t die and hinder the team, then somebody in full berserker that dies all the time. Cuz chances are the person who deals less damage is dealing more damage in two ways. One he is alive to do DPS, two, he doesn’t cut into other people’s DPS by going down all the time.

Full berserker in PUGs isn’t always optimal for many reasons. A big one is class composition. If you don’t have an ele or a guardian in your party, you may have a tough time with sustainability and condi removal. Also you don’t have the handy guardian reflect which is a very useful utility. Sometimes it might be a smarter idea if you have something like 3 warriors, 2 rangers, that one of the warriors goes more supporty so your group actually doesn’t wipe. Another reason is that some class compositions just have really bad synergy, compounded with the fact that some people may not be so great or run utilities useful to you and the party. Another reason is, ironically, is that you can bet that at least two people in your party aren’t running full berserker. That means things tend not to die as fast which means you have to tank things longer, which full berserker builds are not meant to do and you end up dieing. Sometimes a ranged weapon might be useful in those situations so you are actually doing DPS and not dieing.

Obviously if you are running with guildies or people you know, full berserker is the most optimal because most likely you guys have developed great synergy and chemistry, are all running useful utilities, things are dieing really fast and are running really good class compositions and know what you are doing.

PUGs are often missing most if not all of these elements, which is often why I cringe sometimes when people die all the time in PvE, wipe but as long as your full berserker you are not a noob, it’s K cuz he runs full zerker, nevermind that he is dragging the party down and making the dungeon take twice as long.

However, using a sword over a weapon like GS just doesn’t really make sense at all.

well, THERE ARE players out there who play full DPS without getting killed, though its just the minority. However, u should never quit full zerker when u r dying too often, instead, u learn how to play it.

Hmmm… good question, Im a bit of a special case though, my initial solo was so horrible(scepter/pistol newmeta) because I had just crafted the mesmer to 80, frankly the only reason I started playing mesmer was because Obal beat me to the first guardian kill. It took me about 4/5 attempts to take him down then, mostly focussing on the ridiculously excessive swarms. Anyways, I believe that if you can stay calm, know your class and what to do to react to every attack, you should be able to get him 100% after between 5-10 kills, at least that’s what happened when I finally switched to swords. But remember that as long as you dont manipulate his attack pattern, lupi is still a tricky fellow, surviving more than 4 bubbles in a row is just ridiculously tough.

hah, i crafted mine to 80 as well, i think leveling a mesmer in any other way would be a pain up the kitten, so i still need some time to practise my mesmer skills. Also, what i have noticed is that, when i tried to solo or dual lupi on my zerker warrior, i always end up clicking the skill rather than pressing the hotkey, cos the keys r too spread out, and im too scared that i might press the wrong one. do u change the hotkeys for ur slot skills? to make them easier to access?

Oh, actually watching it, I was wrong before. The invulnerable spam was from a clone, not from him. Sometimes clones and such will go invulnerable for unknown reasons, probably the same mechanic that makes the harpies in the uncategorized fractal go invuln as well.

I’m sure you will. I doubt they’ll remove the ability to craft the item once this part of the LS is over, just possibly the means to do so as in, maybe the shards won’t drop anymore etc. So just get the 4 pieces of the plan together and hoard as many shards and other necessary crafting materials you can, and craft later.

im up to Advanced Spinal Blades, so just one more step really, i spent 80g trying to get tailoring to 500, without realising that leatherwork is really the cheapest in the end, ahah. thanks for the reply tho, time to get 500 more blade shards

I have all professions and warriors are far superior than any other classess while its extremely easy to play u can just facepalm everything in pve/pvp/wvw.

Eww, my warrior has less than 1k of toughness wearing full berserkers, so u might wanna just back off and get ur facts right.

If you are able to time it right everytime then it might be. I still prefer Healing Surge over the Signet for PvE since my PvE build doesn’t encourage using bursts. I prefer a burst heal over a regen heal if I don’t have a lot of CC on hand.

im full zerk, so when i face mobs or champs in dungeons, I take loads of dmg in the matter of seconds, so i really cant feel the effect of healing signet. as for Healing Surge, it is a great healing skill, but i mean, defiant stance gives u a few seconds of invulnerability as well from dmg.

Take endure pain and offhand sword for block if you need to. But for defiant stance to work you need LOTS of incoming dmg. It also doesn’t scale off how hard the attacks hit, just how many attacks. That makes it only really good for zerging in WvW or the occasional big team fight in pvp. But even then is prefer healing signet :/

For PvE, like dungeons and stuff, for example lupi, u can see red circles on the ground when he AoEs, so if u need healing, u can always just stand right in the middle of it, and heal. I always carry a shield, endure pain and defiant stance with me for lupi.

so, ever since I started my warrior, I have been using healing signet for constant healing, but I cant really feel the effect of it, I mean, as zerker warriors, we take much more dmg, and when I compare dmg received to the healing from the healing signet, the effect of it is so small that I cannot even feel its there. am I doing anything wrong?
For me, I think defiant stance is the way to go, I uses all income dmg to heal you, which means that, u get a few seconds of invulnerability and huge healing, which also gives me a few moments to withdraw from battle, or take out my shield to block, which is what I do when going against Lupi. I also use Omnomberry Pies for life steal, as I crit almost every hit, which in my opinion is more effective than Healing Signet

Otherwise consider CoF/ Dredge armor.
