Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone
I’m a returning player,was with a guild before but due to exams had a rate of inactivity that got me kicked.

I’m male ,18 and have experience with the game although i’ll be rusty at this time.
I have teamspeak and a microphone .

basically I want to join a guild on this server who regularly run smallish groups in the evenings and possibly in the afternoons. I have fairly messed up playing cycles,basically I could be on all the time for a few days at a time and then not log in for a week ,so a guild with a strict schedule is not for me.

Myself and my brother just created a guild and we’re looking to add some members.
We wish to primarily play WvW and edge of the mists and we wanted to create this guild because often when they’re isn’t a commander online the game gets boring so we wanted to be able to assemble a group of players to raid, roam and pillage.
We are also looking for people who enjoy pve and spvp as we run dungeons quite often. If you’re interested in joining then pm me here, whisper or mail esrald in game.

As we get more people we’ll think about guild missions, fundays all that kind of good stuff but we just want to get a few members first

OK,I’ll keep trying then ,can you have more than one sigil on a weapon

So is it impossible to be as effective stats wise as in pve or wvw, is a crit worth I using then

I’m hoping this isn’t a silly question but I’ve only just started pvp. Is there any weapons in pvp that increases stats? How do I increase my stats more? I only have a 24% crit chance for example and thats with a lot of traits boosting precision ,that isn’t near enough percentage to reliably crit. Also can you get rings and stuff in pvp ,it may be that I missed a vendor or something but I can’t find them

Did you equip the sword as even just equipping it once makes items sloulbound and then you can only sell to normal vendors sometimes, some reward weapons come soul bound I think

Thanks everyone, I was planning on engineer, I know all about listening to complaints I play two of the most hated classes out there. I’m actually planning on starting an elementalistnfor this

i have convinced a friend to buy guild wars 2 pretty much on the idea that there are turrets,grenades,pistols and rifles present in it,he researched the game and decided he wanted to play engineer,he is completely new to rpgs and mmos ,is this actually a very hard class to play effectively in any situation(i would like info from all areas of the game)

Also what class synergises well with an engineer,i play necromancer and ranger would either of these have good combos with each other

I use a longbow and even though I know already that it doesn’t do as much dps as the short bow ,I has a longer range and it has a knock back and the #5 skill is quite useful (in basic pve anyway) then I switch to the greatsord and maul them,whereas when I use the short bow I do quicker damage but less aoe’s and its less useful imo I haven’t tried doing pvp with it yet so I Dupont know how good it is there

I’m on EU and I was able to join,I haven’t tried joining party’s yet.

I’m playing condition and I have found I do have a lot more mobs following me than the others, thanks for all the replies

I’m mixing longbow with the great sword now, I might switch to short bow but I just feel that sword and short bow are far to mainstream,

Ever since the beginning I have buffed toughness on my weapons and armour and just now got armour and weapons which only buff precision and power,my damage has gone up considerably and critical hit has gone from 13% to 33% with this but there is only a minimum boosts on vitality and toughness other than food,will this make a massive difference in dungeons.bear in mind that I’m quite new to the game so I don’t really know how much difference toughness makes

I have to admit that staff is a must have no matter what,its the only real ranged weapon and it has the most aoe ,in sieges in wvw its the only effective weapon we have

That sounds really good and I’m thinking of going as far into beast master as possible so that sounds really encouraging

What server are we on,I’m on gandara btw,I’m just thinking about how possible wvw is but a guild only PvP night would be way cool

I could see the lack of dodge being a problem in wvw ,where evading is a big part of the game especially since #2 and #3 have cooldowns on them and vigour would seem wasted on while using the sword

I’ve only just started my ranger and I quite like the both of these weapons but I am finding the auto attack on the 1h sword very restrictive as I cannot dodge without using the skills so I bought a greatsword which seems really good,my question is it possible to make a bow+great sword ranger for wvw and dungeons,I am currently trying to boost precision with power as a secondary stat without much regard for defensive attributes will the great sword fit in here or should I review my ideas about my build

How are we going to assign people,I love wvw and I wouldn’t mind giving my advice and tips even though I’m still new to the game and I would like to get in on spvp

Why not make this as a guild so necros could see who’s online and use chat to organise events as well as this page,it would then be easier to keep track of who’s who and make it easier to organise and you could make it so that you only had to represent when you are available for it. I’d definetly join, there is something very similar at the moment for rangers and it seems to be working well there

Just jump out of the way of the aoe,heal yourself then hit them with aoe dodge back,rinse and repeat it really couldn’t be that hard,I put marks on walls and that does the trick

I think they should make the loot bags more visible at least maybe a beam of light coming up from them

If you get to lvl 35 plus and buy a rare weapon and armour from the trading post almost straight away and get as much toughness as possible,that really helps trust me my necro is doing far better now that he has switched to yellow gear and buff my condition damage and toughness my kills rocketed and I’m still only lvl 42 and doing better than a lot of lvl 80’s that I know

What are they actually used for ,is it really worth arguing to make instant pickup when there is so little to buy with them

I hate the 5 person cap as my necro does pretty much nothing else except aoe,the last day me and about 10 others were defending from the biggest zerg I’d ever seen,so I was laying fear marks on the door to knock them off the rams and stop them hitting the gate but because of the cap I have to waste epidemic to hit everyone and thats a waste of a skill just to transfer one condition

I think the increase in drop with a party and a guild is true,I had 20 badges after a month of wvw play and had 40 after running with my guild in a party for an hour,I’m only lvl 40 but my necromancer does lot of aoe and I get a lot of loot bags but most don’t contain badges

I haven’t been in yet since reset but I have to say last week was very demoralizing and it should be great fun for us(gandara) now that there are new enemies against us and we’ll see how it goes. See you all soon can’t wait to storm some keeps

I’m just after getting the game I’m currently playing wvwvw for gandara and really enjoying myself.

I’ve been wondering about guilds,how to join one,where are they and what do I have to do in it.

If there are guilds out there that will take in my low level necromancer named esrald and show him the ropes it would be greatly appreciated
