Naw it’s fine, norn yellow green eyes are clearly light blue hence the tool tip when you hover over the color. Actually I think ANet is color blind cause Ebony isn’t that grey and Cobalt isn’t the dull amongst other things…

No loot in tutorial areas?

It’s the tutorial zone, the Emerald Dream, The Great hunt, The Centuar Attack etc. Although I went through a tutorial zone before this patch and wasn’t getting any loot.

FUN FACT: In the human area, if you killed a centuar who was attacking a civilian then told said civilian to head to the inn you would get 28 Karma….they changed that too.

Why change dye from account to character only?

cause it’ll keep people playing, If you unlock them all on one character then you don’t have to worry about it, BUT if you have to do it on them all then..yes there are people who will do this. It’s a cheap way to get people playing longer

If they wanted to string people along and make money in the cash shop, why didn’t they keep the dyes the way they originally were obtainable.

“players were required to obtain Colorful Dye Seeds that required cultivation back in the “Home” area. Cultivation took either 24 real world hours, or the purchase of an item from the Gem shop. Once cultivated it would drop a soulbound, unidentified dye; that dye would unlock a new color. This system has since been replaced."

Thats like the basis of Zynga’s get rich quick with farmville scheme, it’ll keep people who have to get them all playing for over a year and people who can’t wait will use the cash shop AND it actually gives some kind of use for the home instance.

so basically what was said at Gamescon was true the game wasn’t finished when it launched and they didn’t expect anyone to hit 80 this fast (which…did they even play their own game? It tosses XP at you). the bags just generic loot flaged for it.

It actually gets acknowledged with the addition of it being retro active, another week goes by and it’s not some special reward for finishing the personal story but a lvl 78+ green which by this point I Can craft better then lv 78+ greens and even if I couldn’t there’s also a chance I can’t even use it for my class. On top of this now they don’t even know if it’s retroactive but might be…some day…maybe..

This is why you do REAL beta tests to test all your content, not hype machine pay to test BWE. This is also why you FINISH making the game before you release it, so instead of band-aiding something like this you can actually take the time to make a unique reward.

Hell you can take the time to finish making the game so lvl 70-80 isn’t..well what it is now. Ahh but what does ANet care they got thier box sales, they got their good reviews which I’m sure “marketing partnerships” had NOTHING to do with…(hint: I don’t think you were supposed to post that hand written letter from IGN on your fb page)

yet another cash grab from another MMO company who promises the “world” and delivers a dried catkitten#8230;you out bioWared BioWare.

Thank you for the game you offered me

continued…

Didn’t he say, numerous times, the more of our people that fall to the undead the stronger they get? Then he turns around and leaves a huge chunk of our forces behind to die…3 times?! Being “my story” I just go along with it? The risen giants may have been a bit much but when Tharine, Thrall and myself went to the Caverns of Time and saw what would happen if Deathwing wasn’t stopped. Wait no…umm…sorry into the Vision of the Future where Tharaine sees what happens is Zhatan isn’t stopped.

When we saw the future that, being my story, oddly DIDN’T include my character we took on 3 giants but at fort trinity we have big bone ship sinking cannons. Hmmm..

So then for no reason, I think a dragon flew over cause I heard it but didn’t see it, the sky turns brown and suddenly flies. Apparently some super orb that I STILL have no idea where it came from doing two of the 3 factions. This super orb is stolen by a bunch of traitors who after you beat them up just decide to come with you.

You put the super orb in it’s super holder and, just like that, the corruption is clean.

…..

If you have an orb that came from god knows where that can clean the undead corruption “just like that” then why do you need to kill the eye, the mouth, get the cauldron from risen who can poison and bleed robots (which was also ends abruptly.)? Why do you need the dragon soul…err random air ship cannon…when you have this super orb?

Once the corruption was clean you take back the fort. Which after other story quests I was expecting an epic nail biting battle with risen Giants and waves and waves of risen. what I got. About 7 risen and a cut scene. The whole “the more who fall, the stronger Zhaitan’s army gets” apparently not when you have a super orb. The 12 risen giants? Must have either got bored and went home or Tharaine ran when obviously they weren’t that much of a threat.

Then it just gets worse from there.

Judging by the other content in the game for post 70, GW2 was just not finished.

I couldn’t agree more Devil Doc.

I’ll give my feedback, I love giving feedback when beta testing.

I went through to 80 on the PS twice. Once a human, once a norn.

I have also done 3 different Human origins, rich guy w/no parents, Street rat w/dead sister and commoner who didn’t join the circus. These parts for every race, except maybe sylvari, are great, one plot point does a god job moving to the next then…the main story happens. The story take and abrupt turn in most cases. For examples go to the human sub forum read anything to do with the Sister. It’s basically “Oh god my sister is alive” 2 seconds later “Do I have a sister? I thought I did…naw I’m an only child”

There are things in the beginning I thought were GREAT, like being a noble you go to a party to question party goers, you over hear a conversation about an event that happens in the commoner story line.

Around the quest called “meet your friend in lion arch” it becomes the same story, splits IF you pic a different order then back again separate stories then “battle for claw island” it becomes EXACTLY the same just you faction friend is different.

Splits again till you come back to claw island then same thing no matter what you choose then you meet Tharaine and IMO the story just falls apart. It’s no longer your story but you become robin to Tharaine’s very lazy, very bossy, very annoying, very hatible batman.

I call him Tharaine Fordring…for oh so many reasons. Sorry to bring up “THAT game” but the comparisons are there. Like Fordring, Tharaine does nothing but is destined to become the hero and for no reason other then…bad story telling…in both…gets this legendary sword that smites evil. Finally in both, when it comes to the epic conclusion. Sorry in both cases I should say “epic” conclusion. Like Fordring, Theraine does NOTHING.

It’s worse in Gw2 cause “This is my story” well when the final half of “my story” is just being Theraine’s “man/woman behind the curtain” when he gets all the praise and judging from the PS end game loot “fix” all the good booty.

IMO the Ps starts to fall apart around lvl 30 then slowly just crumbles till finally you get to Fort Trinity and…WOW…just…WOW..it’s sloppy, full of plot holes and just rushes you to the end.

A bit before that actually. I got the mission where the Azura sets the bomb to destroy the bone ship which was removed cause it was bugged then put back in. which, well, FUN FACT ANET: When you remove something cause it’s bugged you generally want to fix it before putting it back in.

Planting the bomb went ok but I noticed the “Micheal Bay pan swooshing cinematic showing nothing that had to do with what was going on”; just had subtitles no spoken dialogue. Defending the trigger went fine, then the ending. Recover the Azura’s corpse. the marker is halfway up the map, the SECOND you hit the water to swim it auto completes and you some cinematic that, again, has nothing to do with whats going on in the mission. I think the unvoiced dialogue is “look there’s his body” and it’s showing the camera panning really fast over some bit of random water.

Then there’s the actual Battle for Fort Trinity…what a mess.

The undead attack, a running theme since lvl 30 which never gets old, and Tharaine does his very best Cobra commander impersonation. “RETREAT!”

Best example of "no holy trinity" yet!

“What’s complicated mean?”
if you don’t stop asking that ever 2 mins it’ll mean the next time a centaur comes by I’m going to chuck you at him or her like a football.

“I pray the spirits but they rarely answer”
Maybe…just maybe…I dunno they’re as sick as I am of hearing you rattle on the same thing over and over. OR I dunno maybe you should try running faster then a centuar.

The only thing thats worse is then they’re saying chatter from other MMOS with ALMOT the same accents and the exact same inflections…

Hit level 80 last week,

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: TheSabi.2378

TheSabi.2378

I hit 80 over a week ago, and I’m having more fun now than I was before. The people who get to 80 and get bored are simply looking for another grindfest experience like so many other MMOs.

Progression hits a wall once you hit 80, so what are you saying? People aren’t looking for a grind, but they find it once they hit 80 because everything you’re doing after that is a grind. Dungeons? You have to run them 40-50+ times to get a set of gear. WvW resets every week so anything accomplished is erased 7 days later? PvP? You’re fighting for different skins. Different skins, thats it! As far as fun goes, after a few weeks, how much fun are the same maps going to be? Its just capture points…no other gameplay modes. Unless you LOOOOOOVE PvP, there really isn’t much else to do at 80, besides run the dungeons a couple of times. Once you beat it though, whats fun about doing 50 more times…FOR DIFFERENT SKINS?

Now, if it took 5-6 months to get to 80, that’s one thing, but its happening in under a month for casual players. The best thing to do at 80 is roll an alt and experience the maps you didn’t do the first time around.

THIS! I don’t get that defense of if you don’t like what guild wars has to offer at 80 you’re looking for a grind. Do these people even know what PAST not even 80 but 70 or is it just nonsensical blind white knighting?

Unpleasant lvling experience, so very very few Dynamic Events...

hmm, this is interesting. I started playing during head start I got my Human Guardian to 80, it didn’t take long as I just followed hearts and events.

My friend started last week, human ranger. He kept saying how there weren’t any events which lead him to be majorly under level and get bored.

I thought it was odd and I rolled a human thief. I now see what he was talking about. A mere 3 weeks ago Queensdale was a hot bed of events now it’s just…pretty dead. No events and next to no one around to do them. Oddly enough one of the few events that actually did spawn was bugged for the past 2 days.

I enjoyed the 1-70 experience and well..Orr..just…Orr.. Now even the leveling experience has become bland.

yeah I noticed it was more like “oh my long lost sister I though you were dead…we..wait..Logan wants to talk to me I guess you should just disappear now and we’ll forget this ever happened”

the same with being a street rat and Riot Alice. I was supposed to meet up with her after I beat up the bandit leader but..well..that was about 59 levels ago and I haven’t hear a peep of her since.

Iron Marches bug list *ongoing*

too add to this, yes the NPC appears to be in the house. If you go to the door you can see the hand of an NPC and are able to talk to him. He asks you to kill Bria. To the right of the house there’s also a lost spirit stuck up in a tree.

“Raid the separatist camp with the warhound village veterans” – was bugged for me this past weekend. Except they weren’t moving at all and no separatists anywhere yet one of the NPCs was losing health. Something else I found out about that event.

It bugs the heart quest “Help Kennelmaster Warsnout Track the Separatists” thats above it. You have Great Danes lead you to hidden separatists BUT the separatists aren’t spwaning cause of the event.

The same heart is bugged with or without the event. The dogs will randomly run off and growl at nothing, since nothing is there they will never stop growling. Or they’ll get stuck in a tree or not leave the kennel at all. There’s only two things the dogs will actually react too a hidden supply cache to the left of the Kennelmaster and a bush to the right.

Will there be more PvE end game?
