If you compere gw2 to rl Sports then spending lots of momey for the best suite or car is normal… So i dont know why having the best gear is something wrong
So ele does the highest dps… But if we just consider the burst (First 3-5 seconds), his dmg is not that op.
Maybe the guard or power engi have the highest?
Swagger seriously… The thread is about Solo dps WITHOUT buffs or boons from another profession. The benchmarktest you post is with boons like Banner, EA and spotter.

Which weapons does the ele use to be the leader of the ranking? Staff oder d/w?

Soloing Fotm isnt unrealistic
I know the qt benchmarktests but they aren’t Solo... They have buffs they cant have on their own.
Additionally the might an ele stacks drops after a few seconds but the thief does continuously high damage.
In the ranking of qt the thief does more damage on a Medium hitbox then a d/w ele which damage drops on a small hitbox. So on small hitboxes the thief leads the dps?

I did some theroy crafting the last days regarding to Fotm and Raids, because I’m not able to play Gw2 for a while.
So I wanted to ask the following: Which class has the highest “personal/solo” dps on small, middle and large hitboxes?
To explain what I mean with “solo”: How many dps can a single profession handle on its own without getting any help such as buffs or boons from another class? (eg. a Ele with “Empower allies”)
Might/Fury/whatever stacking by the profession itself is okay.
Do you have any ideas/suggestions or experience regarding to that topic?
Has someone kind of a ranking for the different classes and would share it with me? That would be awesome!

Make no sence to reset the side. Alltime record is Alltime record, even if there is a new Patch. Thats the thing with Alltime, there can be just one. Besides i think its unfair for the Player who did better Alltime record then the current meta alltime record

you all know you cant open the Story of arah anymore without the personal story.
On gw2dungeons it counts like a normal record. Is there any way to open it without playing the whole story? Or Do I have to play that wounderful and exciting story again?

some friends and me did some math with thief ferocity and precision and get something weird/bug.
First some facts:
My Thief has ingame, with full asc. gear on berserker and without any buff/signet/food, 49.76%/1961 Crit-Chance and 220.7%/1061 Crit-Dmg.
With the Trait in Crit-Strike “Practiced Tolerance” i got 233.8%/1257 Crit-Dmg.
Now the weird thing:
If i use “Signet of Agility” (+180 Precision), i got 58.33%/2141 Crit-Chance. BUT Ferocity doesnt change. According to the Trait you have to get more Ferocity, if your Precision goes up, but as you see it doesnt. We tested it with Food (Plate of Truffle Steak +70 Precision); with the precision of the food and the trait i got more ferocity.
So maybe there are some mistakes in Gw2-calculation?

first of all: the atmosphere and environment is beautiful. Like it
I like the several towers and keeps. I think the layout of the towers in each race (Humen, Charr, Oger, etc.) is a good idea.
I like the new Guards with the First Aid Kit and the buffed Dollys as well!
Negativ:
I know many poeple dont like underwater fights. But why didnt you involve an underwater keep or tower?! You have such an awesome and unique fight mechanic and dont use it anywhere. I think if those poeple have to fight underwater, they would get used to it and prop. wont dislike as much. The old WvW maps did have underwater events, but they were useless, so none did them, which led to people not knowing how to use the underwater combat system. I would really appreciate some well designed, usefull underwater content.
