Please. I don’t want all these giant wings and tentacles covering my screen. It’s bad enough that they’re immersion-breaking, but they also block the view of enemy wind-up animations.
I like to see people’s characters in general and don’t use the standard models, but I would do so if the giant back slot items weren’t still visible – unfortunately they still remain for some unfathomable reason. Please add a separate option to disable back slot items entirely, ideally only affecting the large ones.
CM 3 done! Vallog was a real pushover once I managed to get there.
Thanks for the tips. CM 1 next, then!
Ok. I tried stealthing but didn’t find any safe spots. Good to know that it’s possible at least – will try again!
I tried CM 3 but got stuck on the way to Vallog, with the enormous amounts of bandits.
It seemed like I would be able to kill a few at a time to grind them down, but it would take a very long time and it was late already.
I haven’t run this path with a group in more than a year, so I don’t remember if there’s a trick to avoiding most of them (other than the first room after the trap corridor by going over them on the ramp.) Anything I’m missing?

@Esplen, thank you, that’s very helpful!
I realize now that my post reads like I’m only asking about Arah. It’s the only place I’ve tried to any real extent, but it was intended as an open question. Which path in any dungeon would be the best place to start?
Looks like I’ll be giving Arah another shot too regardless
I thought I’d try my hand at soloing in explorable mode, but I haven’t played dungeons a whole lot since around release and I suspect the details I do remember may be obsolete. I tried searching here and google, but most information seems to be either very old or focused on Arah. I did solo a few bosses in Arah earlier, but I suspect it’s not the best place to get started.
Which dungeons and paths are easiest, or a good place to start for whatever reason?
What kind of builds are people having success with? I get the impression it’s mostly offensive reflect-heavy phantasm builds, which is great as it’s what I personally prefer.
Any skills that are non-obviously useful for certain bosses? (Now that the old Mimic is gone.)
Anything else people wish to share?
I’m not necessarily looking for a full guide, but just a good place to start so I don’t end up in a dead-end.
Edit: Which dungeons and paths are easiest?

Same type of issue here – I have USB speakers that are no longer listed by the game, and neither are several other output options that I never paid much attention to but nevertheless were available before.
The USB speakers are not the default device, but I had them selected in GW2 before the patch and now they’re still used even though “default device” is shown as selected in the game options, making it impossible to switch to the real default device.
Standard Enemy Models had better mean we get that checkbox, or there really is no hope it’s ever going to happen.

Yesterday I started feeling “done” with yet another character and thought I’d get back to my still-low-level-after-two-years engineer. Spent half an hour or so reskinning and dying all the equipment until I felt good about the character and set off for adventure!
… and then I activated the grenade kit and remembered why I haven’t been playing engineer.
I really don’t see why we can’t be allowed to hide the kit backpacks. All weapon-switching classes second weapon set just vanishes when it’s not being used. For a long time there were no quivers. All skills throwing weapons can throw unlimited weapons. Why can’t our kits do the same?
