STOP doing achievements that rely on the other people, especially, the ones connected with TEMPORARY content. Seriously ANet, people complained already about group achievements when the Marionette was here and you’re doing it again. This is the best example of how you really listen to your player base.

I do understand why mayhem cannot be joined as a group, but bell choir and wonderland? That’s just… sad.
2 years ago toypocalypse was just like now. People didn’t like it and 1 year ago you changed it and made it possible to join with party, which made it more fun and overall liked by the community. This year you went back to toypocalypse we’ve seen 2 years ago.
What’s the point of going back to something people didn’t like? I HOPE it’s only a bug and not intended change.

It was too punishing to be locked into a skill where you had no control over your character.

1. Make us feel that our characters are important again.
2. Stop storytelling outside of the game, i.e. forums, site, facebook, whatever.
3. Do not forget about Personal Story in the Living World.
So now, when we know about new ascended items (amulets) I start to worry.
ANet was stating over and over again that they want us to play in our own way, but they’re limiting our builds with new ascended items that do not get all attributes variations. It was true before they released ascended items. Exotic sets varied alot and you could made your build around it. At the moment there are 18 different attribute variations, but for example we can get backpieces in ONLY 5 possible variations – this number is overwhelming, because it clearly shows how much our choice is limited if we want to get the best stats possible.
The same thing goes with ascended amulets and rings. I was really looking forward to this update, because I was anticipating new variations of rings to be added as well. The lack of these stats hurt alot of builds. For now there are ONLY 6 attributes – Soldier, Wayfarer, Cavalier, Rabid, Berserker and Celestial. With the new amulets. that may not fit our builds, we are deprived of 4 items of our builds. Lack of Cleric, Rampager, Knight and so on, and so on clearly hits many players.
Does ANet want us to change our builds? Do they prioritise some builds over the others? Should we start to change our builds now and get accustomed to the new way of playing? And last, but not least, am I the only one who’s feeling that ANet is heading in the wrong direction?
What are your thoughts about the whole situation?

And again, stating your own opinion instead of sticking to the point in OP. I don’t want achievements to be free, I don’t want them to be achievable by simple logging in and I don’t want them to be GROUP achievements that are going to vanish after the LS is gone and are only tied to the other people performance, because individual skill doesn’t matter in zergfest.
Achievements should be personal and not tied to luck or good server/overflow. For example, 6 mins to knightfall is really not an achievement. It shows only wheter you were lucky and got it via bug, because doing it normally won’t acknowledge it (source: forums/reddit). Or do you mean that this is an achievement, because you were a part of nameless zerg and did it? How is it even an achievement? Be there and spam autoattack, yeah, challenge accepted.

Some people are getting those, while many don’t. I guess the latter is the correct way, since some people get way too many chests for their ranks. Additionally, it’s not a visual bug, my guildie told me he’s getting those chests.

Actually, Europeans wanted to play it yesterday.
Down the road, we’ll also be adding a reward structure to total achievement points, and we’ll be looking at revamping portions of existing UI to help players understand all the different kinds of content they can play and the types of rewards available. Once we have that framework in place, we’ll be able to really expand on the content accessible through the achievements system and provide you with even more new and exciting ways to play the game.

Four months passed and I still have not seen any rewards from total achievement points. Was this idea scrapped or will appear eventually? Any thoughts or some more info about it? Couldn’t find any more info on the forums, but something may have been said by a dev when I wasn’t around.

I am more than ecstatic about the guild world event idea.
Actually, it’s ‘to be determined’ and seeing it’s ‘Standard Worls Event’ it won’t be as hard as Teq/Wurms.
As the topic seems to be dying out and the problems remain, I’ve deicded to write about it again, because this topic has yet to be fully answered. As someone previously wrote, it was said that the only grind we’ll meet in the game is for aesthetics. Now, we clearly see that is not true. Not only do we have to grind our kitten out to equip JUST ONE CHARACTER, but also there’s no real place for getting ascended on alts OR support for different builds. There’s even no alternative to get them. Even kittenty RNG in higher fractals would be better then waiting 6 weeks and paying 5g (earrings) or logging in everyday for 30 days (not counting monthly) just to get ONE item – amulet. So if I want to have 8 characters that are fully equipped with ascended trinkets I have to play FOR OVER 22 MONTHS just to get earrings. And that’s only the case when every character is with only one build.
Seriously ANet, what the hell? Didn’t you say you don’t want us to grind and enjoy your game? Let me remind your own words when the community questioned your “no-gear-grind” philosophy that you were so proud of.
We do intend to focus on horizontal but we will have vertical progression moving forward with the focus on zero grind and a very low power curve.
So, yeah, only the ‘very low power curve’ seems to be true. There is a grind and you CANNOT deny it. Numbers do the work themselves. GIVE US ALTERNATIVES – I think that’s the one and only phrase that most of the community would agree with.
And just to remind you, I’m posting the other problems from before:
1. Unbelievable cost of amulets and earrings with no possibility to gain them somewhere else – when people (like me) play on multiple characters, they cannot afford them, because you need to do 30 dailes or 20 dailes and monthly to get them. I have 3 fully equipped characters that I play everyday and the fourth one is coming soon. To equip amulets ONLY I have to play everyday as if it was a chore, but can’t do anything about it, because that’s the only way.
2. Fractal Capicitators are still missing variations.
3. Lack of possibilites with unwanted rings from dailies. They should be salvagable to get essence or at least something (other [especially rare] backslots should be salvagable as well).
4. Infusion problems with new rings. Even though we can buy new rings now, they cannot be infused, because there’s no recipe for them in the Mystic Toilet.
Yes, running down the cane you get fall damage. Observed it as well.
Just delete char and make a new one. Free reset.
Well, I don’t mind not knowing the exploits, but how about you tell us which bugs you fixed? Some of them are really annoying and in some cases we don’t even know something was not working properly and discard it (for example, some traits/skills/whatever).
This one phrase is of no information and you could as well write “we did something, but don’t want to tell you”.
If Player A is on Player B’s friends list, but Player B isn’t on Player A’s friends list, how does that interaction work out?
It’s pretty simple actually. Friends =/= followers. Should only work if both players are on each other’s list, i.e. game recognizes them as friends and not a friend and a follower.
Cool bi-weekly update. Totally worth waiting.

And why do you think so? I actually hope, there won’t be any changes in level cap.
Guild Houses, instruments from lotro and “last online” from pretty much every single mmo.
I would wake up for 20 minutes of work and go back to sleep for the rest of the day. Then repeat this until something new to do was available, but that would happen only for 1 or 2 days every two weeks (or longer in this year’s case).
Then it’s not bugged, but badly written. Again.

Did you even see the new scaling of knights? Not even 1 had full 50 members and it still took more than 9 minutes to kill even one when people were split. And this comes after 7 tries at desolation, which always seems to be pretty much hardcapped.
