While I enjoy most of the adventures in the new maps there is the issue of some being random. For something that is timed and posts leaderboards they should not be random, there shouldn’t be rng in a challenge. This means that while someone just so happens to have all the targets spawn close will always be among the top and others who don’t get lucky can’t even complete the adventure.
I don’t care about being number one (this will benefit those who do), I just want to finish the adventure.
I don’t get experience from kills even if I kill them almost completely by myself.
I understand that the skill can’t be used to cross gaps or climb cliffs, makes sense and I agree that would be exploitable.
The problem with the Lightning flash skill that even when using it for just horizontal movement it is picky about where it is used. I have used it in the same places (give or take some feet) and the outcome is inconsistent. Ranging from working to nothing but shocking the ground where the green indicator is.
Example: Using Lightning Flash I teleport to a bridge but because the bridge is a different entity from the ground that I’m on I don’t teleport even when they are flush and same height. Instead I wait for a 40sec cooldown, effectively wasting that utility. I have also similar experiences with just terrain and teleporting on the same entity.
If fixing this would make the skill exploitable could we at least have a decreased cooldown to a second or two if our character doesn’t go to the green circle? This can also be applied to the Mesmer skill Blink which has similar problems. Can’t say the same for other classes as I have not played them.
The player shouldn’t have their skill wasted because something in the game isn’t clear.
