The only way I could see a system like this working is if you could put bound items or currencies up for collateral. Thinks like laurels, karma, dungeon armor, tokens, and various other objects would be good for such a system. Loaners would gain either money or something that they would have to work fairly hard towards in order to get. Items/currencies would have values attributed to them by an automatic pricing system from ANET to keep values steady on objects held as collateral.
A player could put up as many objects in a single loan contract as they desire, such as an entire dungeon armor set (value derived from token costs).
I think the system certainly has potential.
Then, why just dont make all bound item can be sold at BLTC?
Same question as John’s, what’s the difference?
The point of the system isn’t to sell your bound items/currencies for gold, but to get a loan from another player and enable that other player to earn interest for loaning the money.
While some players would make it a market for soulbound items/currencies, it is still a fantastic way to earn a little profit or gain the extra funds to make whatever gamble/purchase you are going after. It works well alongside the BLTC because it allows someone to get some extra cash in order to make a play on the market.
In the end, many would likely default on their loans, and even if they don’t, a portion would still get lost server side due to fees of the loan market. This has the net benefit of reducing the amount of gold in the market, cutting inflation in a (to me) good way.

I was thinking along the same lines as you, then I realized the blonde moment I was having. They mean the dyes themselves are blue and yellow, not that the quality is blue and yellow.
Kind of like the Halloween dyes they had for sale.
Not sure if it is related or not, but I usually get this bug after dodging while in the big fights.
Not crazy at all. It was all cracked and glowy for act 1.
I love what you all are doing with the holiday content so far and really look forward to seeing what else you have to bring to the table! One thing I love about the game is the attention put into the small details. I think this one would be great and possibly not be a ton of work for you all.
With the candy corn harvesting nodes, with each hit of the pick a color layer should be taken away.
Example: After the first hit, the white tip vanishes. After the second hit, the yellow layer vanishes. After the third/final hit, the orange layer is destroyed.
I think it would be a cool/cute addition since we all know we eat them like that :-p
I can only assume we will have candy cane trees for Christmas, so something similar with that would be really cool as well!
I would love to see the daily grant at least a bonus key, with a chance for better rewards. I think this would greatly help in general.
The new events, bosses, and mini-dungeons are included in the Shadow of Mad King release, same thing goes for everything on that page!
happy dance
Thank you for the link, Crimsony! That had escaped my attention since I was only looking at the news section.
This sounds like it is going to be a pretty amazing event, if the events don’t bug out.
Considering you don’t have to pass up on much to get some really decent passive regeneration, I feel it is a great thing to aim for for general survivability. A fairly constant 500hp/s ticking away is pretty amazing when using line of sight and for straight up fights.
I usually use healing shouts for my burst healing, so I am not terribly concerned with that since even generic healing shouts are amazing (imo) with passive regen.
Mostly just looking for any sources of passive regen that I might have skipped over in the game, so that others who are looking to max it out can as well :-)
I have been trying to build up to maximum passive regeneration as of late. I figured others are interested in the passive regeneration as well, so I figured we could pool some resources. I am leaving healing banners out of the mix since the generic regeneration boon can be provided from other sources.
Sources of Passive Regeneration:
Skills:
Healing Signet
Traits:
Adrenal Health (15 point Defense trait)
Consumables:
Mango Pie
Boon of Regeneration (Tier 3)
Runes:
Rune of the Dolyak
Curious if anyone has found a vendor that gives a Boon of Regeneration higher than Tier 3? They supposedly exist, or have existed, so would love to know. For those who want the Boon of Regeneration (Tier 3) you can find it in Gendarran Fields near the Almuten Waypoint in the east of the map in the basement of Almuten Mansion by talking to Miss Mipp and convincing her how awesome you are.
Am I missing any sources of passive regeneration here? Doesn’t really matter how effective they are (looking at you, Dolyak signet).
I have a Norn Engineer named Yukon Nornelius
I got this while fighting a dragon today, so it certainly is not specific to WvW. I have never gotten this bug before today.
