And as long as we’re talking about variety here…fair’s fair. I don’t think that the male counterparts have enough skimpy armor to match the females. Bring it on Anet!
I can dress my male heavy in four different armor skins that expose my nipples. How many armor skins can you dress your female in that expose your nipples?
I`m not talking about guys nipples. Think…lower.
Sorry but gw2 males have no geometry down there. Nothing to see
They have rear ends, don’t they? I mean, they have them on the females at least, pretty sure they have them on the guys too…
You know, like a Tarzan butt-flap-like thing. Instead of boob window, butt window!
Or for the front, they could give them a MAN POUCH

Less boob windows, more elegant and beautiful non-skimpy armor please, we need more variety in that area.

Reading comprehension on this thread is not great. Let’s try quoting the relevant parts.
And for the record, I don’t care about the other players who run around with nothing on. That’s not my problem. My problem is I don’t want to wear that stuff.
Making my character look cool is a huge part of what’s fun to me about playing this game, and it’s really infuriating every time they make a new armor set. “Oh, a new armor! What does it look like?…Aw man I wanted armor, not armor with a big hole in the chest and stomach.”
There are certainly many armors that they could make that aren’t promiscuous, nor full blown “nun” either. They just don’t seem to choose to. Lots of players including me would probably like armor that is practical, or even beautiful and elegant. You don’t have to show any extra skin to do so.
There’s no censorship going on, the OP is just asking for some new female chest armor to be added that’s doesn’t look like a push-up bra.
Thank you, that is correct.
Also, let’s please keep the thread respectful. As I said before, I don’t have a problem with the non-human races armor. The “boob window” (Lol!) on asura or charr is not the issue, because they really don’t have anything to show anyway.
I am not asking them to take any existing sets out of the game. I don’t see a problem with asking them to keep it balanced between revealing and non revealing. If they put in 5 new armor sets that are tasteful (as an example) it would be more balanced between the two than it is now.
Previous thread was locked for not being constructive, let’s try again.
The issue is nearly all of the female armor sets being waaay too skimpy or showing too much.
To be clear from the people who responded in the first thread, here is what I’m talking about:
I don’t mean charr or asura armor, their sets are fine. I’m only talking about female humans and norn.
I’m not just talking about the new gemstore armor, I’m talking about all of the armor. Though I was disappointed in this new set as well, definitely not buying it. Light armor sets are the worst, followed by medium (human tier 3, being one of the worst offenders. I might have bought it if not for the chest piece.) and then heavy armor. Even some of the heavy armor has lack of chest coverage.
Also, I am a wardrobe nut. I am trying to collect nearly every armor in the game. I have a lot, though far from finished primarily because I still need to get a fair amount of dungeon armor. I think it’s fair to say I have researched my options. There are a couple of good sets, but for someone like me who loves to mix and match, and play around with my armor looks a lot, there’s not much variety. I spend a lot of my time looking for really cool combos to make, and you just can’t make too many tasteful ones. For example, there are a lot of chest pieces that show all of the stomach, which I don’t like and makes it nearly impossible to pair with different leggings.
And for the record, I don’t care about the other players who run around with nothing on. That’s not my problem. My problem is I don’t want to wear that stuff.

Please make some more tasteful armor sets for the ladies. My opinion of the game would rise substantially if this is done.
(This was deleted, so edited and reposted)
Enough with the gaping cleavage in female armor sets already!! Sometimes you make something really beautiful, and then you cut a giant freaking hole in the chest and turn it all nasty. There needs to be more armor choices that don’t turn your character into a walking proposition. It’s getting freaking ridiculous.
Anet hasn’t shown true equality in relationships yet, the only way get there is to include more male/male relationships. (I know of only one in the game so far.) But they aren’t gonna do that, especially not putting one in the spotlight as much as Majory/Kasmeer’s. Why? Because they don’t think it will “sell” well. And that is a bad way to think about it, equality should come first.
I always hated the living story.
For the love of all that is holy give us expansions like Factions please.
THIS. SO MUCH THIS. And yes, from beginning to end, I have hated the living story. The game isn’t called “Scarlet Wars” after all…give us some lore actually pertaining to the game. A lot of people are prepared to pay handsomely for an expansion…
I would give it 0/10. When they abandoned making necessary bug fixes in order to focus solely on living story content, that was bad by itself. But in addition to that, they made it a terrible story anyway by:
-Writing poor dialogue and plot.
-Not listening to sound suggestions to improve the plot and dialogue.
-Taking that one step further and putting in content that people asked not to be included.
I could have just given only my first reason and still be justified in my rating. There is no excuse for not fixing the game’s issues.
Well, I guess I have my answer, I posted about 3 weeks ago. New living story released today, no old bugs fixed, no response from a dev to even acknowledge that they might be working on them. This honestly makes me feel like dirt.
Would really like to hear a dev response about this. Even if it’s just to say that there are reasons that they can’t work on these bugs, I’d like to hear them.
Yeah…this was in no way supposed to be living story content…it’s WvW, not living story.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-edge-of-the-mists-a-new-map-is-coming-to-wvw/
OP, I agree with you completely. It seems like anything they add to the living story is more for shock value than good plot. I’m happy that they are including non straight relationships, but I do think this relationship was motivated by the “Ooh, those two are hot” factor. Especially when Kasmeer suddenly got turned from an intelligent noble deftly deflecting Lord Faren’s advances like a true mesmer at Southsun Cove, into a ditzy airhead at Kessex Hills who goes “Oops! I’m actually naked…my clothes are an illusion! Tee hee!” Ugh.
I would like to respectfully offer some suggestions on things that should be worked on and included before the next living story patch is put through, even if it means putting it on hold for awhile. In no particular order:
1. Targeting: It would be really really awesome, if we could have tab cycle through enemies, and if you click off of an enemy, hitting tab again would select the closest enemy. Also I think it would be good if we could click on enemies with our mouse as well. There is also an issue with when you have a target selected, it randomly deselects so that you aren’t targeting anything. The next thing would be to have tab not include yellow enemies, just have those be only selectable with the mouse, because players are having so much trouble with big mobs of enemies and only being able to target the poor moa birds. Think of the moa birds.
2. Server disconnects: This is a very large ongoing problem that is happening to players all around the world. While a small percentage may be attributed to an ISP, it just simply can’t be the explanation for everyone, players would really appreciate it if this was looked into extensively. People might even send you tasty baked goods!
3. Loading map zones and UI : Lately the map load time takes longer and longer to load, sometimes even up to 4 minutes. The map itself takes a long time, but in addition, your inventory and bank load blank, and the floor, buildings/structures, and players do not load. This can be an issue if you log into an area and need to switch to a weapon that isn’t in your weapon swap. Or if you need to munch on that tasty Omnomberry cake.
4. Dodging bug: Another thing we would love to have fixed is the dodging bug. What happens is when you dodge, you do your dodge animation but actually stay stuck in place, and it still consumes your endurance. Sometimes you don’t even get the animation, you just stay in place and it consumes your endurance. My asura wants to go back to being poetry in motion instead of gibberish in neutral!
5. Bug where all skills stop working: This one happens usually when you’re in a large group of people, but can also happen randomly when no one else is around. Your skills don’t work, but there is no lag, no rubberbanding, you can run around and sometimes interact with “F”. Currently, the only way to fix it is to die, or switch zones. (Waypointing does not fix it, you have to run to a different zone.) This bug is making everyone unskilled! :Ba-dum-tsh:
We would be very happy if these issues and bugs were fixed before releasing any more new content, and it would make the game much more enjoyable for everyone.
Can we have a submit button? We like pushing buttons.
The problem is one of the champ trains is in the starting area for humans. The brand new characters can’t just take the advice of “don’t play.” They can’t play anywhere else until they level up. It would be a good idea to move the Queensdale train to a higher level area, or get rid of it entirely. It wouldn’t make Queensdale empty, because there are always new players coming into the game. Also veteran players return on occasion because they just like hanging around the area, or they like helping out brand new players. I would like to mention that while Frostgorge Sound is a high level area, and new players would not be affected, the champ train there still creates a toxic atmosphere of name-calling and insulting towards players not involved in the farming, and I have even seen people using bots to farm. (I have reported all the bots that I’ve come across.) A good idea for the Frostgorge train would be to randomize the timers for the champions so that encounters are truly random.
I am confused because the OP said the owl was just ambient, but I saw no owl walking along with the raccoon. Can a dev please tell us why it was necessary for the owl to be removed? It’s just something that made me smile, and now the raccoon is going to be lonely.
EDIT: Never mind, I found the owl! Yay!

To the OP: I agree, waiting 2 hours for an event that is so complex it takes many tries to get it down, is ridiculous. They should at least shorten the wait time. And while coordinated efforts make for fun game play, they have to take into account the low populated servers, and adjust accordingly. Even when there are enough people, like you said, there’s name calling and insulting by trolls which doesn’t help the fighting at all. But that’s more of a community problem I guess. I don’t know why they keep making events like this which can be easily sabotaged by a couple of griefers, that’s bad game design. I don’t mean people who don’t have good gear, I mean people who are trying to derail the event on purpose. Which brings me to this:
And yes, I don’t give a kitten if you’re level 60 with Levelig Blues on and feel you’re entitled to see this content. If your presence in the content is having a negative affect on the others trying to attempt it ,you don’t belong there. Your personal enjoyment is not more important than the hundred other people there trying to make meaningful progress on these bosses.
If you truly feel that way, this game may not be a good fit for you. Everyone else has just as much of a right to be there as you. Gear? Doesn’t matter. If they’re willing to learn and take advice, they’ll be fine, which is nearly everyone. If they are running around fighting naked with no armor on, that is a troll (or a bot.) and yes, they should not be doing that event. Report that stupid kitten.
Shadey Dancer, in case you haven’t done this yet, have you tried opening a ticket with support? It couldn’t hurt to try.
Why not have all of them? Cantha, Elona, all the rest of the fogged areas on the continent of Tyria. I see no reason for them not to, all of these make up the world of Tyria, so it would be very silly for them not to eventually be included. Obviously they can’t release every area at once, but they can do it one continent at a time. So I think we just have to be patient, it does take a while to make a whole map. Granted, it certainly can’t hurt to share your experiences with your favorite areas here. For me personally, I probably have too many favorites to list… I love the Sage Lands in the Maguuma Jungle, the entire Crystal desert, the seas around Cantha, all of Shing Jea Island, Wajjun Bazaar, Vabbi, Mehtani Keys, the Desolation…and of course, pre-searing Ascalon, Wizard’s Folly especially, it was beautiful. I could go on and on.
This is happening to all 8 of my asura characters. (Asura ftw!) They all have the same type of face, and are female. The face I have is in the very left column, in the middle. I clicked on the other faces and it looks like it’s happening to some of the other face choices too, mostly the faces that have white in their eyes. My poor characters look like they need some sleep! I looked at the male asura too, but it’s harder to tell as I don’t know what their eyes normally look like, but it looks like two faces might also be having that problem (left column, top choice, and left column, middle choice.)
Afk-ers are a big problem, but there is already a system in place for that. If you are idle for an hour, the game will kick you out to the character select screen. So the people who are going idle are botting or something to spam skills to keep them from getting kicked out. That’s another part that needs to be addressed. I’ve reported all the bots I’ve come across, hopefully they will be punished properly.
Traditional expansions are worth waiting for. That’s an entire map of content and it needs a lot of time to be dreamed up, created, and tested to make sure everything goes well. And it’s not just the map and events, it’s possibly new weapons, armor, skills, maybe even new races and professions. When you start a new expansion, you are overwhelmed, but in an awesome way. It’s like “Holy cow, there’s so much to explore and do, but I can completely relax and enjoy it, because it’s here to stay!” I’m willing to wait years for an expansion, because I want the creators to take their time to make wonderful, permanent content without rushing it. All of the impatient players should understand that this is how great games are made. If by chance, an expansion is currently being worked on or is going to be in the future, I implore you, take all the time you need, and take pride in making it really awesome! (Also, please please please let it be Cantha! :big puppy eyes:)
I’m sure I’m not the only player who is willing to wait for big expansions. But I know some people are really impatient, and I do not understand that, because how can they expect to get great new game content if there’s not enough time to work on it? If living story-sized updates replaced an expansion, there wouldn’t be nearly enough time to adequately work on everything, and to allow for possible problems. What fun would it be to play one tiny chunk of map at a time? I like the freedom to roam haphazardly about the map in my explorations. Also, I’m not a big fan of the living story; I prefer the more traditional lore and permanent content that goes with a big expansion. That If-I-walk-all-the-way-to-the-horizon-what-will-I-find-beyond-there-feeling. And, you know, dragons. Cause dragons are freaking awesome! But I could tolerate the living story as long as Cantha and Elona return as big expansions someday. I’ll be sitting here, patiently waiting, saving up my money for a possible collector’s edition version, and daydreaming about what the rest of Tyria will be like. If it happens, I would be as happy as a skritt with the shiniest shiny.
Oooh! Fair enough. I was indeed misunderstanding you. The funny thing is that there’s nothing stopping Anet from making achievements gained from for example mini games be made permanent. Both belcher’s bluff and sanctum sprint could stay without breaking the immersion.
I do agree with your suggestion now.
Cool beans! Yes, that’s exactly what I mean, like with the mini-games as you said. I definitely don’t want them to take any achievements completely out of the game or anything.
(edited by ThunderBadger.3049)
I don’t understand, how would that be limiting other people from getting achievements? It’s not taking away titles from anyone, it’s making them available for everyone. That is my entire point, I want everyone to be able to have a chance to get achievements.
No, you’re just saying that after 3 living stories we should not get any more achievement points, so after 12 – 15 or more living stories you could complete 3 living stories worth of achievements and catch up to us. No thank you. I want the shinies from achievements too and I work for it. For example I just sat here killing griffons for the last 5 hours. Before that me and my boyfriend spent close to 7 hours doing all of the belcher’s bluff achievements. Before that I sacrificed entire 2 days to finish the full new living story achievements. I don’t get why I suddenly should not get points for it, just because you don’t have the time.
Ok, I see there has been a misunderstanding. I probably wasn’t clear enough, my bad. My suggestion was that as long as they are going to keep doing temporary content, to have a maximum of 3 title tracks per content update. So for each living story, you would have 3 tracks to work on, while the rest of the achievements that they add in the future would be added to permanent content. I’m not suggesting that they have 3 more living stories then “end” all the achievements. For instance, right now they have over 16 titles to work on for the Bazaar. I’m suggesting in the future that they include 3 of those being temporary, and the rest of them being permanent. I’m not asking them to take anything away, just to change most of them from temporary to permanent. And yes, it is important to be fair to all the playerbase. I have no intentions of “catching up”. Actually, there is no way for people to catch up anyway because all the previous stuff was temporary. But again, that is not my point nor intention.
Just because a person has a job does not automatically mean they get a weekend off. Some people have 2 jobs, work overtime, and do not have the luxury of 2 days off. There is nothing healthy and balanced about it. What they do get is a free hour here and there, barely enough to finish a daily, let alone play the game normally.
My suggestion for the game would be to limit the amount of achievements people can earn in temporary content, say, 3 achievement tracks or less, and confine the rest of it to permanent content. Not making it easier, not making it free, just plain making it available to even attempt.
See what you’re doing here?
“If I can’t get it then I don’t want other people to have it”
But this is the way MMOs go. They don’t care how many jobs you have or how hard your life is. They will go on with or without you. You don’t have the time to do the temporary content? Well I do. Why should I be limited in how much achievement points I can get from it just because you personally don’t have time?
I don’t understand, how would that be limiting other people from getting achievements? It’s not taking away titles from anyone, it’s making them available for everyone. That is my entire point, I want everyone to be able to have a chance to get achievements.
1. But you can buy gems with real money. And gems can be converted to in-game money.
And you can convert gold to gems. You know that 5G reward that comes with the 2.5K achievement points? That’s 200 gems right there!
2. Again, as I mentioned previously, for people who have jobs and or a life, can’t sit down every day to work on points for dailies or monthly achievements. Getting 10k points takes a very long time.
And now you’re once again complaining that it’s not free. Enjoy the luxury of not falling behind on gear and being able to access the rest of the content. In other MMOs if you’re not an absolute no-lifer you wouldn’t have such an opportunity.
3. Obviously achievements are earned and should not be handed out like candy. The problem occurs when the majority of achievement points are earned through content that is quick to disappear and takes a long time to grind. It’s perfectly fine if it takes a long time to do and is challenging. But being temporary content that never comes around again is the big issue here.
All temporary content achievements so far at most took 2 days (except for that new one where you new to melt quartz every single day for 8 days). If you DON’T want to spend your free weekends doing this like the rest of us do then you don’t deserve those points. On the upside be glad – you probably have a healthy and balanced life and a family that you enjoy spending time with. Why would you want to get the rewards that we spend our free time grinding?
Also, the 400 gem reward is for 5,000 achievement points, not 10,000. I’m pretty sure you will get a lot more gems at 10,000 points.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement#Achievement_rewards
Actually no, it’s still only 400. and that 30G that comes with it is worth more than those 400 gems on the current currency exchange.
Exactly. These achievements are worth a lot of in-game money, and not just the gems. Considering they were supposed to be plain old titles for bragging rights, I find this very annoying that they overhauled the title system into gigantic rewards.
No, I am not complaining that it is not free. My #3 response said “Obviously achievements are earned and should not be handed out like candy.” I agree with you that achievements (whether they reward anything or are just a title to wear) should be worked for and earned.
Why would we want rewards? Put simply, who doesn’t want rewards? If you love the game that you are playing, you would probably want the rewards that the game has to give.
That’s great that it took you two days to finish your achievements. It’s not as fast for everybody as I think you can realize. Free weekend? Just because a person has a job does not automatically mean they get a weekend off. Some people have 2 jobs, work overtime, and do not have the luxury of 2 days off. There is nothing healthy and balanced about it. What they do get is a free hour here and there, barely enough to finish a daily, let alone play the game normally. So here’s the thing: If the majority of achievement points took a long time to do, was very challenging, but permanent content, I would have no problem with it at all. None. Zero. Anybody can keep chipping away at it bit by bit until they get good enough to succeed at it, (or even fail and give up) and they have the time to do so. It’s making the majority of the achievement points come from all temporary content that really gets my cheese. Most people cannot sit down for 48 hours straight to get all that done in one sitting.
At least they aren’t exponentially increasing the gem rewards then…but yes. Still a lot of gold with that reward.
My suggestion for the game would be to limit the amount of achievements people can earn in temporary content, say, 3 achievement tracks or less, and confine the rest of it to permanent content. Not making it easier, not making it free, just plain making it available to even attempt.
Considering that they are now offering GEMS as rewards for achievement points, I think the the “You don’t have to do achievement points” arguement goes right down the drain. Gems=real money so achievement points now = money.
1. You can’t exchange gems to real money
2. You can get to the 10K point by just doing the dailies and getting there 5 achievement points at a time
3. Gems is a reward for time spent. Achievement points are rewards. You don’t need rewards if you just want to enjoy the game and you should not get the rewards if you’re unprepared to spend a lot of time in the game. In other words my point is – achievements is something you earn and not something that you get for entering the game.
1. But you can buy gems with real money. And gems can be converted to in-game money. My point being that gems are MUCH more valuable than the average reward, and when achievements came out for the first time, they claimed that achievements and titles were going to be for bragging rights and cosmetic value only. They did a major leap backwards on this obviously with the inclusion of gems.
2. Again, as I mentioned previously, for people who have jobs and or a life, can’t sit down every day to work on points for dailies or monthly achievements. Getting 10k points takes a very long time.
See this is why hyperbole ruins your points.
lol 400 gems. That’s not even enough for a name change, much less makes them mandatory.
In the time it takes you to reach 10,000 achievement points, 400 gems is an extremely insignificant amount relatively speaking unless you’re like playing the game without a keyboard or something. If you want to complain, try the 30 gold. Though by my estimates, these achievement gold rewards are really just reimbursing you spending all this time on this crap. It’s probably better just to run Cof ad nauseum.
I don’t even have 4k AP myself, and I don’t really see myself being made “mandatory” to grind out any achievements.
True, 400 gems is a small amount compared to how much you could buy on the gem store. But we can probably correctly assume that as you accumulate more points, they will reward you with an increasing amount of gems the higher you go. Therefore, the more points you get, the more gems you will get later. Also, the 400 gem reward is for 5,000 achievement points, not 10,000. I’m pretty sure you will get a lot more gems at 10,000 points.
Considering that they are now offering GEMS as rewards for achievement points, I think the the “You don’t have to do achievement points” arguement goes right down the drain. Gems=real money so achievement points now = money. And when the majority of achievement points stem from sometimes challenging, very temporary content, it’s limiting the majority of people who have a job/life from getting points. Also, when these people do have time to sit down and play, and they have the choice of either leisurely playing the game the way they want to, or grinding the temporary content for points before it all goes :POOF!: , you can bet that with the rewards, they are going to go for the points. Except that they will never get the chance to play the “original game”, because once they finish grinding those points, two weeks later, :POOF!: New living story content/achievements and the cycle begins once again. How is that playing the game the way you want to play it? Who in their right mind is going to turn down free gems?
Gotcha, so it would have been reportable only if I got kicked at halfway or more through the dungeon or something. I’ve already blocked that person right after it happened, so that should mean I can safely avoid grouping with her in the future. I didn’t catch her guild though. Thanks for the speedy responses!
Today I was doing Honor of the Waves explorable with a group, and as usual everything went without a hitch. Bosses were slaughtered, treasure was acquired, thanks all around were given. Someone in our group asked if any of us wanted to do more paths, to which I and another person said we would be happy to go again. I find more people to fill the empty spots, and we are about to enter the dungeon, when one of the people from the group that I had just finished doing the previous path with, says that I need to leave. I asked why? She said “If you don’t have a warrior, leave.” Our group now was composed solely of guardians and warriors with the exception of me. I said “I don’t need to be a warrior to do the other paths.” I had just done a flawless run with her (and have done all paths in HotW multiple times without any problems on the same character, I might add) but she still apparently felt that I needed to go. Without any further comment, she and the rest of the group kicked me out of the party.
I was polite, the previous path went quickly and smoothly. I went down a couple of times, but that was all. Never got defeated or anything. There was no other justification for her to kick me other than the fact that I wasn’t playing a warrior. I don’t join groups that specifically say they won’t allow certain professions in their group, even if I am not said profession. There were no such requirements for the previous group, and they had no problem with me doing the previous path with them, it almost doesn’t make sense.
So here is my question: Can you report someone for doing this? And if it is a reportable offense, what do you report it as? There isn’t really a good option under the report section, verbal abuse wouldn’t work because they weren’t cussing or name-calling or anything like that. If there was an option for “griefing”, that’s what I would have selected.
The only good thing is, I immediately found 2 other nice groups to do the other paths of the dungeon with, and both of those runs went just fine.
Are you addicted? To this game?
I once was addicted to GW1! I had no desire to change, but then GW2 came along and I was cured!!! But now I’m addicted to GW2…
Don’t worry, it’s not because you have a quaggan backpack! :P This happens to anyone who falls off of Rata Sum and uses a revive orb to ressurect, to keep people from running around down there.
With the combination of guesting and improved loot from world boss chests, there has been a ton of lag, disconnection and overflow issues. There are plenty of arguments here about server hopping/guesting, and I wanted to give proof that guesting is a major contributer of these issues, as well as why some of the suggested solutions would not work:
1." It doesn’t matter if I exploit the system of guesting to get more chest drops, or get them faster because guesting itself is allowed."
Guesting was implemented as a way for players on different servers to play with their friends. If you are using the guesting system to farm events/loot, you are exploiting that feature and not using it as intended. Just because a player has the ability to exploit something in a game doesn’t make it any more legal to do so. With this issue causing so many overflows, this is actually keeping guesting from achieving its original goal-which was to allow friends from different servers to play together.
2. “If you don’t like being kicked out of your own events, come early. First come first served.”
While normally not a bad idea, this no longer works because everybody else had the same idea weeks ago. People are showing up hours early, even leaving their characters afk at the event site allowing nobody to leave overflow, which is very rude. These players are not just affecting others who want to do the event, they hinder others looking for groups to do dungeons with, and people trying to do the lesser events in that zone, who should not have to “show up early”.
3. “You aren’t entitled to a space on your server.”
Technically, everyone who paid for the game (and isn’t a bot) is entitled to play on their home server, which is permanent unless you are willing to pay for a server transfer. So really, “first come first served” applies to the natives of the server here, because they chose their server first.
4. “How do you know that it’s guesters and not natives causing the problem after the chests were updated with better loot?”
By their declaration of intent. On these forums, and throughout the game’s map chat, I have seen ( and I know other people have as well) guesters bragging outright about what they have done to get all their loot, even saying things such as “Well, now I’m off to ‘different server name’ to do Jormag/Teq/Shatterer/SB!” Not just once, twice, or thrice. Many times.
5.“Server natives should guest to other low pop servers if they don’t like the overflow/getting disconnected from the game.”
Again, server hopping to avoid overflows/lag is not what guesting was intended to be used for, and nobody should be forced to guest if they do not want to. Doing this also would mess up other servers causing more population issues. And, it is childish logic to suggest that the people who were there first should be the ones to leave.
This is an extremely frustrating issue for lots of players, but the good thing is that we shouldn’t have to worry much longer because the game developers are probably looking for ways to solve this as we speak. (Probably have been since the issue came up in the first place) I’m sure they want to get rid of this exploit as much as we do.
Are there any GW1 players here that remember the “Ugly Monk” thread in the GW1 forums? That always brought a smile to my face (and usually more than a few hearty belly laughs!) Those were some crazy armor colors and combinations…
I have this problem as well, I opened a support ticket for it-they had me change the in-game graphics settings which worked, so I closed the ticket. Unfortunately, it went back to blurry when I logged in again the next time. I didn’t want to open another ticket for the same thing because I’ve read repeatedly on these forums that you aren’t supposed to open multiple tickets for the same thing. I tried re-setting the graphics like the tech support showed me and oddly that didn’t work this time. Other people are having this problem, and there is another posting about it titled “Suddenly, horrible graphcis!” and there were a number of suggestions given to try, you should give it a look.
One of those suggestions did end up fixing it for me, which is to run a youtube video while playing the game (but muted) and that seems to help. But I can’t fix it beyond that. I tried to set my video card to force guild wars 2 into 3d mode which resulted in the blue screen of death…so I’m not messing around with my video card anymore. So whenever I want to play guild wars, I just open the 10 hour long video of the minstrel singing! La la la laaa la la laaaaa…. la la laaaaa… heeheehee Anyway, that’s all the suggestions I can offer, other than to open a ticket, which you have already done. I wish you luck in solving this problem!
Taven-If you still want to open a ticket and aren’t sure how, here’s how to do so: To open a support ticket, click on the Support tab near the top left of this page. You will need to create a support account in order to submit a ticket. Click the red text that says “Create a support account” near the right side, and then follow the directions. When you are done creating your account, click the “Ask a Question” button near the top middle of the screen. Put in your information and follow the instructions to open your ticket. Also, you can use the little search engine there for more info about support. I hope this helps!

I am having the exact same problem with the blurry graphics, this started 4 or 5 days ago at least . I also have an AMD card that is fairly new. I have tried everything mentioned above with no success. There are two or three other people on the forums who also seem to be having this issue, but as of now they have not found a solution either. I am not sure what to try next. As the quaggans say, foo.
