I’m just gonna quote from others, even though I’m pretty sure it’s too late for any change :

Guild halls
Armours (gw1 armours are so much better…)
CAPES!
Trading with other players
Capturing elite skills
Bigger party sizes!
The chat interface

This.

How about letting us the player be the hero of our “personal story”? I’ve not completed that on any char other than my main, because playing second fiddle to the salad person just irritates me to no end.
The lack of any sense of urgency to the storyline is another issue. In the original games, there was a sense of everything depending upon what you’re doing or else the world will end. Now that we’re faced with the end of our world, we, the heroes are just waffling about, ignoring the whole undead dragon thing, because it doesn’t seem like there’s any urgency to it.

Yes, the storyline sucks and is a huge letdown compared to how good for an online game the coop missions and story of the GW1 campaigns were.

We’ve lost so much. By Nightfall, the enemy groups were coming closer to resembling proper opponent teams. This on it’s own would make GW2 far more interesting.

Exactly, right now it’s only about packing them and spamming all your AoE – actually, worse, all your skills. I remember when you had to pay attention in NF to the mobs duplication spell, or to the healer or any profession that could be a problem depending on the situation.

Build diversity.
Multi-classing.
Hitting level cap before you were 1/4 through a campaign (the game is the endgame!)
Low numbers for health etc.
Regen/Degen system and health ticks.
Hexes.
AI skill bars/AI elite skills/AI group compositions.
Runes/insignias instead of built in armor stats.
PvE fights that I couldn’t AWAY FROM KEYBOARD through.
Mission driven campaigns.
Ritualist.
Emphasis on skill acquisition rather than gear acquisition.
The fact that each campaign had a definite ending.
NON-CASH SHOP DRIVEN CONTENT PRODUCTION/MAINTENANCE.

And ofc elite missions (uw, DoA…) and once again a rewarding gameplay as there was in gw1 ie builds, lots of skills, maybe even dual professions (hell, I was so happy to have back this gameplay in the Secret World, even though it was a major source of whine because apparently this made the game too hard).

Sadly, we most likely will never see all of this back in GW2. About the Canthan/Elonian stuff (location, classes, etc) just wait for the expansions which will probably be GW2 : Cantha and GW2 : Somewhere-in-the-south-where-Elona-and-the-water-dragon-are.
