Guild Wars 2

Just started back up last week. Haven’t played since the Thanksgiving event near the launch date.

I have no interest at all in WvWvW or PvP. I just enjoy running around bonking stuff as I go by and enjoying random off the wall conversations with random strangers.

I’ve been with GW2 since alpha, but about 5-6 months after the official release all my friends stopped playing. I keep trying to come back, but I can’t ever find the right people to play with. I usually end up in an inactive guild or some super huge guild where you’re just a number.

Help me out! I don’t mind transferring servers since it’s been awhile and my friends are gone. ;x

Well, I play on Gate of Madness and there are two things that bug me.

1) There are hardly any people on (compared to the first month of GW2’s release)

2) The WvW is just terrible.

So, is Gate of Madness so deserted because there WvW sucked so bad everyone left to different servers or are other servers experiencing a lack of activity as well?

I’m debating on switching servers or not, but if it’s the same everywhere else, I’ll just stay on GoM.

Whenever I try to right click > whisper someone, it doesn’t set up the whisper chat. Whenever I select whisper and type in the person’s name along with the message, the whisper doesn’t send.

Any one else having this problem or know how to fix it?

I just now received an e-mail back from support! Hehe (5 days later, but only 3 business days)

“After reviewing the issue, it appears that your account was blocked in error. Your account is now released and you should be able to log in to Guild Wars 2. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This account was released on Oct. 18, about 6 hours after the block was in place.”

What I look for:

*Sexy females. -Note every female is sexy. If they’re not sexy, they’re not a female!-
*Purple kittehs
*Comedians
*Chubby bunnies.

We’ve done dungeon runs with people under the required level :P We try and get everyone in so we’re doing story mode and explorable mode for the same dungeons a lot, just with different people.

The only thing that we do ask is if you’re doing a dungeon run, please hop on our mumble server. :P We we’re running TA the other day and one person didn’t have mumble and he was doing everything he wasn’t supposed to and it was rather annoying having to top and type it out in the chat :P

KEEP TRYING TO LOG IN. DON’T WAIT FOR AN ANSWER FROM SUPPORT.

I’ve been in touch with a lot of people in the past few days that have been waiting on a response from support when there account was already back up and running. If you were wrongfully banned, yes submit a ticket, but then keep trying to log in every 3-4 hours, because they most likely will fix it before they even see your support ticket.

Hope this cuts back on your waiting time. I never played GW1 but I did take part in the alpha and beta testing of GW2. All companies go through problems and yes it sucks when it happens to you. But be patient! And if you enjoy the game, keep on supporting it!

Mobius, have you tried logging in today? Some people that have been wrongfully terminated have been able to get back in (without notice). Not sure if it was from a bug or mistake or what not.

Other than that, there is nothing more you can do. Support usually responds to tickets within 72 hours, if it takes longer than that, there is a pinned topic on this board that will further instruct you what to do. Haha yeah. I was playing just chatting it up with my friends, trying to recruit some new faces. Minimized my game and watched a tv show, came back to a black screen and was like huh…closed and reopened and BAM You’ve been terminated! I was like O_O I’m sorry for watching lifetime!!! Let me playyyyy. I’m sorryyyy. Blame the girl!

Nightwatch, I was actually terminated yesterday (the 17th) at around 7:00pm EST. So…I’m not sure if me and you are in the same boat or not. It’s really odd, but just keep trying to log in every now and then and hope it fixes itself.

Don’t be. Your e-mail, amongst many…MANY others have been targeted through various means. Whether it be other games, forums, etc. Your e-mail is on a “hack list” and those pesky hackers attempt to get your info. As long as you have a good password, you should be fine. The only other thing I can suggest, is to change your e-mail.

I’ve had numerous of these attempts, but so far I’m good. I actually haven’t seen any in about a month, maybe they gave up on mine. :P

There seems to be a lot of this happening lately, just submit a report ticket letting them know what happened.

My account was actually terminated permanently, but after sending in a support ticket, everything was back to normal within 12 hours.

Are you still banned? That’s outrageous. I have friends that actually work for ANet, but I don’t want to bother them. But if I must, I will. I’m hoping they straighten this problem out quickly.

I just made a post semi similar to this. I’ve also been banned for that reason, but none of the prelude of that happened to me. I just logged in today (after getting that black screen and having to restart) and got that message that I was banned.

Already submitted a support ticket, just wanted to ask the community. I went to log in and got this beautiful pop up saying,

“Your Guild Wars 2 account has been terminated for engaging in or assisting with gold or item sales for real-world money, which is a breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. This action is permanent.”

That statement is completely false and I have done nothing wrong, illegal, or against any policies. I would like to have my account back and I hope it hasn’t been deleted since it has been terminated."

I’ll go ahead and say that’s so completely false and I’ve done nothing wrong or against any policies or ToS. Anyways, my question to you guys is:

1) Has this happened to anyone else?

2) How long do support tickets take to get answered?

3) If it says terminated…and permanent…is my stuff still there or has it been deleted and gone forever, even after they realize they made a mistake in banning me?

For example: Omnom Berry Bar (30% MF) and Omnom Berry Tart (30% MF).

Would that give me 60% MF or would one just replace the other?

Also, what are the best MF consumables to stack (assuming they do so)? :}

As a leader of a guild, I would like to bring certain things to my guild’s attention. There is no better way to do this than a mass mail. It glows all pretty in the top bar and everyone notices it.

Sure, you have the message of the day, but let’s be serious. Many players aren’t going to read that. A lot of players never even bring up the guild menu. My guild also has a site, but still, not everyone is going to check it and even then, they’re not going to check it a few times a day every day.

I’m sure there are other ways to improve the guild options, but this is a biggy for me. My guild isn’t huge so I could possibly mail each one individually, but when I do that, I get excessive messaging errors after I send out 2 and have to wait a couple of minutes, which makes the process dull, boring, long, tedious, etc.

Please help us out!

If you agree with this idea, keep posting/bumping so the masterminds behind this great game get to it!

Is there a way to mail my entire guild information? I can’t do it 1 person at a time because of the excessive spam message.

I know they have the message of the day thing, but no one ever reads it. The mail system will at least grab their attention.

There have been quite a few people who’s accounts have been wrongfully blocked/suspended/terminated recently.

Why? I do not have the answer to that, as I’m just a mere mortal in this huge community of awesomeness and hopefully it will stop soon.

What I can tell you is, all you have to do is submit a support ticket letting them know that your account has been wrongfully terminated. My account was terminated permanently for the act or assistance of selling in game stuff for real money, which was false. My account was back up and running within 12 hours.

Let me note, I never received an e-mail back from support. So you might just have to keep randomly trying to log in to see if you’re account is back up and running.

To the mods: Sorry if this type of post shouldn’t go here, but I thought maybe some of the people that might want to rant after submitting a support ticket could read this first before filling up the forums. Just trying to keep you guys busy on other stuff and not locking all these incoming topics. <3
