actually your wrong. sinse Anet has been pushing the price of gems up 453 gems is 3g 8 silver thats 76 silver a key atm and the market is down slightly from yesturday. I’m not asking for free keys but I do expect to be able to obtain then at a reasonable price.
Current Gem price: 100 gems costs 69 s 10 c
Therefore 450 Gems costs 3g 10s 95c.
Meaning each key is 62s 19c, at this time, of 14:25 GMT.
With the current rate of inflation keys will be about 1gold each in a week or two. To be Honest is 1 gold worth 2 random items and 3 useless trasmutation tonics?… I dont think so.
I don’t know? Is it? Its entirely subjective. If you don’t feel like its worth buying, then don’t buy it. If a lot of people begin to feel the same way and stop buying gems then the price should start dropping again.
Regardless, its nothing that you simply MUST have to play the game. Its cosmetic items, at best.
I happily let Quinn die, he was irritating me anyway…
Its like there’s too much Oestrogen in the human water supplies or something.
I should imagine that Spidy bins values that are wildly outside the expected when working out the average.
You can buy them on the TP, theres a much better “drop rate” there :P
I will bet you that given the state of the game, it will take the “regular player” way more than 6 months to a year to get the legendary.
Then again define “regular”.
Good, they’re supposed to be rare!
I’d be happier if it let you switch for free, but reset your progress each time.
There’s a couple of recipes in that bracket that actually turn a profit on the TP, you’d be best of grinding out those instead of going through the process of discovery and using a ton of logs.
Its too freaking expensive!

What does that matter? Its not like you need anything on the Gem Store to play the game.
but thats fine, i am theif, so i only want to carft dagger, here we go, i got almost things ready…..but today i found if you want to make VIAL OF LIQUID FLAME, u have to spend more than 200 GOLD, for JUST VIAL OF LIQUID FLAME!!! wt…
The Vial of Liquid Flame is 180g to craft, at current prices. You cant really expect people crafting and selling these for Profit on the TP to take anything less than a 10% cut after taxes, considering the amount of skill points that you need to pour in to get Destroyer Lodestones for anything approaching a reasonable price.
and, twlight is two hand sword, dagger is either hand, means theif have to make two daggers !!!
Wrong. You don’t need to make it AT ALL. Its pretty much a cosmetic item, you can get Exotics just as good as it for far less.
Furthermore, the Incinerator leaves flaming footsteps behind it, even in stealth. Thats hardly ideal.

You could exchange in game gold for Gems to buy it, only 150 Gold!
With no other option available to goldsending, it would linder the problem and almost not affect the majority of the players at all.
Really, and how would I for example, send gold to my other half for her dye addiction if this was implemented?
How would I donate gold to people in WvW for their Commander icon fund, if they’re in a different guild from me (ie: I cant just deposit it in the Guild Bank)?
How do I send my friends a few silver if they’re short for an item they need, or have all their cash tied up on the TP, and need a repair?
Yeah. Terrible idea.
@John Smith: Why the huge tax on a good which ANet wants to sell? (Gem transfer tax)

Yes if you’re only basing it on this one thing alone which has almost nothing to do with the theory…. anyway as I said the theory is crazy, but since there has been no transparency what can a man do but make crazy assumptions?
I’m not basing it on one thing alone, if you go and look at a batch of 50 random items on GW2 Spidy, you’ll see that, on average the overall trend is downwards in value over the last month.
In the same time, the overall trend in the value of Gems is upwards in gold value.
