The fights have been fun most of the time and everyone seems to be approaching it in the right way, theres no need to appolagise over blobs, as it stands its part of the game we all must accept, just keep sending the pugs in first I can always use the badges

Just a suggestion but if we are going to make it fun this week, then why not just ignore the points, cause the system is messed up anyway, and have more arrangements/ communication with Blacktide and WSR. Invite them on a TS, have fun. I think after dealing with the Germans and their bad attitudes for weeks it might be good for morale to just have a laugh with other players

I can’t entirely ignore points because we were up against WR last week too, and very nearly passed them in rank. We have to keep trying for that. At least I do. It’s a goal. We wanna be 24!

We haven’t been playing for points for weeks now, if we wanted points we would be defending our BL like we used to when we were praised for our defence every week. Now the fear of dropping to T9 and having no fun for a week is gone, bar RNG of course, we are free to roam and look for decent fights.

To the best of my knowledge, none of the major WvW guilds on GH blob intentionally. They run as guild groups, 10 -30 and are usually roaming, looking for similar groups to take on in ‘open field’ fights.

Most will, when they see orange swords on the map, make a bee-line in the hope of a good fight. Sometimes this results in two or more guild groups arriving at the same spot, then, depending on the size of the opposition, it is not uncommon for one or more guild groups to break off and look elsewhere for some action.

[CHvc] regularly run without a commander tag so as not to attract too many randoms so we can roam more freely, as do a lot of others.

Last night your guild was running in WSR border with a 2nd group dovetailing you, however much its claimed not to be a blob or “we’er just a guild group” when 2 groups run and work so close as happened last night , the effect is still a blob.
Planned or not its hard to have those open field fights with you, when we know that 2nd group is ready to pounce. Just seems to make it more frustrating for everyone, as the fights we all wont dont happen or get turned in a 3 v 1 with only one outcome.

I’m not saying any of the main guilds are doing it intenionally , its one of those things that occur and stop us all from getting what we want

I have nothing but respect for the guy’s on BT and WSR who have turned out in WvW day after day against bigger numbers. We have been there ourselves and we know how hard it is to continue the fight when you are being swamped day after day.
It takes a lot of determination and gut’s to wipe and dust yourselves off and go out to get wiped again and I salute you guy’s for that.

The numbers we are against is nothing new, just about every week we face servers with larger forces than ours, thats fine, we just like to get some fun fights and get better as a guild.
Whats annoying, for me anyway, is when groups like the one tonight who outnumbered us anyway, we were 15 in voice comms with a couple of pugs tagging on, feel they need to put ACs and Ballistas up in a supply camp.

I dont want to get into a who had how many debate tbh, all I can say is that when both groups were stacking on the ruins there was way more than 5 or 6 core / crew, not as many as you had to be sure, thats why we went for them, but whatever man its all cool.

Cant say I’ve seen your tag, but at times its been hard to distinguish. Its been fun when getting to grips with a like sized group but due to the general number imbalance thats not always posible.
PRXM and Core/Crew both had groups in our BL last night about the same sort of size as ours, give or take a few, did you need to tag team us at Bluebriar ? Your much more likely to get an open field fight with just the one group, saying that we did take the bait and die to a man behind the fort.
Overall a good match up, GH are always fun to play with, haven’t really seen too much of BT , but as theres usually 50 + GH infront of us thats not surprising lol

What is BT aim? they attack wsr and only wsr. We have no change to fight overwhelmed gunnar. BT rush our bl and loose everythin they own by gunnar. Either they have allied to gunnar or just worst server on Guild wars 2. watch ur towers.

Please dont come on the forums and dis another server or accuse them of forming pacts, concentrate more on improving our position through our play rather than moaning about someone else.

The numbers seemed very lopsided last night, I dont remember GH fielding that many last time we met up, heres hoping a few drop off a bit during the week to give some more even balanced open fights.

Thanks to NaZ for the GvG, We were a little rusty and having a new person lead our gvgs was a new experience. I think in the end the score was 6-0 to VcY. And the fights last night in EB after with the WSR blob around the dredge was epic, we had around 21 people and managed to wipe 60-70+ was great fun. Has been a decent match-up, As for ratings, VcY don’t bother to much about it and just look for fights rather than points nowadays.

I was in the dredge both times your group was wiped, you’d be lucky if we had 60 – 70 on the map never mind in the tunnels, but there were bodies everywhere and the fights were great fun.
I’m gonna miss this match up RoS and RoF have provided some great fights, dubious counting, great practice for us to work on tactics, and you have both been a joy to converse with on the forum.

I agree, the bay fight was a total mess on our part, we were just running in 1 by 1 to keep circle contested :/ And we had more people in RoS BL than in yours, it had queue at one point ^^, you sniping garrison made us pull back from RoS hills when we finally broke outer and started sieging inner, but that’s how being 2nd in the 3 way fight works :P

Very true, we expected you to stack before you got to inner, which if you had would have made it a very different fight with the numbers you had compared to what we had, but we have all had fights like that. You seemed to have called all the troops up last night, it’s gonna be close till the end on Friday, makes it a very interesting matchup I don’t think anyone would have thought there would be less than 20k in it by now.

Was a fun time last night, some good fights in our border after RoF had flooded it, they seemed to have sizeable groups on all the maps at one point, then we managed to clean everyone else out before the reset.
After that, off to RoF border to pinch garri and bay, the bay fight was good fun havnt seen that many lootbags since we were playing AS. The actual fights seem to be fought in a better spirit than the forums.

P.S. then stacking on a sentry point its worth looking behind you as a certain guild found out last night when we wiped them, no need to name you know who you are lol

Just to back up what Skwas was saying above, we have been active in all maps over the last few days. Our prime time groups look over the maps and see where we can be most effective with the numbers we have and we always have to keep an eye on our own borderland.
I can assure you we focus on no one and have had fights with groups from both servers every night, we try to keep our points total as close to the other two servers which in case people forget are 1 and 2 tiers above us. I hope the last couple of days of whats been a good match up continue like this and dont degenerate into a name calling slanging match on the forums.

It has been fun so far, TEO are usually one of the two guilds that do defend our BL, this week we have hardly been there, popping back to help if we can but mostly roaming in a guild group of 15 to 20 looking for some open field action, in the other BL or EB.
Had some good fights with TaG, when the nubers were close, been wtfrofflestomped once or twice by the obvious VCY , and enjoyed the fights against RioT even if we have lost most of them.

This match up has been a lot closer than most would have thought, there has been a lot of good fights, the odd blob, but thats to be expected. Best of all its been fought in a fairly good tempered way, with little of the name calling that plagues many of these threads.

This is not ment as a complaint towards TEO or WAR, but it’s more ment as a wakupcall. When each of u run either 15-20 or 20-25 each. It might be better for u to move to another borderland when there is only 6-8 people attacking ur borderland Especially when u guys talk about u need more people to push other borderlands, but it seems like u guys like to sit in ur towers or run all together then to go alone and attack other borders^^

During that durios defence we only had 4 guardians. We just coordinated our line of warding and ring of warding. In conjunction with warrior cripples and knock backs when people got close. Before the breach all our eles equiped staff and kept rotating water fields. We had more ranged then melee and that showed as it was our range damage that allowed our melee to deliver the final blow.

But like my comrades have said, we have awaken from our slumber.

It was a nicely executed defence, I got through the lords room to the balcony at the side and saw how few were left alive in there and the piles of corpses on the ramp, very nicely done.

After that we moved to our BL to help push RoS back there and moved on to WSR BL. Thank you all WSRs for fights between garri and Longview and in Longview itself. GJ being persistent, you kept coming and coming and finally pushed us out

That was a messy but very fun fight, the garrison keep changing hands twice within 5 mins at the end of it summed it all up, good fun.

Its been a strange week with this match up, the points totals are pretty much where I (probably everyone ) thought they would be. Its been interesting to see the numbers being fielded by FR, until last week I thought DZ had large groups know I know better
Last night sums it up for many of us, we had 2 guild groups, WBC and TEO, and the pugs on a badged commander. DZ seemed more willing to have open field battles and a few went either way but FR, even though they had the largest groups seemed reluctant to fight in the field unless it was under arrow cart protection.
I hope before reset tomorrow we can get some more even fights from FR, they have some good players and it may be a while before we meet again.

Scoot hakitten the nail on the head, the 2 guilds which defend our border consistently week after week try do do guild events and have to suffer abuse in chat, if people want to run with those commanders then join WBC or TEO, simples !!

Fail cheats are still fail cheats whether you get the proof removed or not, I suggest you spend more time reporting the cheats rather than the people exposing them.

After Friday, no more locked in t8, a great chance to move your guild to a server where you can make a real difference, from RoS to Vabbi the (Wv) worlds are there for the taking.
The last few weeks have shown that we have regularly defended ourselves against servers fielding much larger forces then us over all the maps, and taken the fight to them whenever we could.
If you are thinking of moving, we are a server with next to no queues, a good community in WvW, some great commanders and fun still plays a big part in our daily battles.

This thread seems very quiet this week considering the way keeps and forts are changing hands, I know the lack of WP’s is annoying when trying to get around the map defending our BL.

Its nice to read so many positive comments from the servers we play against. One , even small, organised WvW guild could make a real difference to this servers battles, come join the fun on a server where you choose how you play without having to face the red blob that is all you find on higher ranked servers.

Having fought Arb for several weeks now, I dont think its there numbers that vary so much as the calibre of the leaders, sometimes they can be a real pain to fight, large groups well led and very switched on, at other times not so. You never really know which it is till that first fight of the night.

Was a fun night after the reset, lots of good fights in our BL and Arbs, it was nice to finally get some decent numbers to compete on more than 1 map.

Some good fights last night, took us a while to get our act together in WSR border but once we did things went well

It was left all tidy for them, took all those old dead bodies out that had built up running through that hole in the wall.

The 3 way fights in the BL keeps have been one of the best things over the weekends fights and although GH should win with comparative ease, the match up hasn’t been as one sided as I feared.

It was an interesting time after the reset, Roflstomped by GH in the first 30 mins, then switching to our BL for a fun night, good fights with things changing hands and some good 3 ways fights over the keeps. Looking forward to this week if theres more of that to come.

I personally feel that commander should not be purchased just by gold, it should have some badge and wvw accomplishment requirements. A commander should have vast experience in wvw to be able to lead well and not anyone who just farm the gold while pve or buy gold to be commander.

Vast experience is no guarentee too leading well, people soon learn whay commanders know there stuff and which are just laughable, I play on Whiteside ridge and tbh theres 2 maybe 3 who are any good, a lot of mediocre ones and 2 or 3 who are truely truely terribad.
