Vale Guardian: attack color not matching boss

And the Blue Guardian has a Green Circle attack that wipes the group unless 4 players go in the circle.

Acually it’s 3 players that have to stand in those circles while the boss is splited into 3 colors.
But when you fight the Vale (as in the one boss) then 4 players need to stand in those.

Power or Cond. Dmg? Please help me decide...

First of all i would wait and see what will happen after tommorow when the patch changes are here (something makes me think that my beloved condition mesmer is going to be nerfed even more despite of the new condition that is coming, but well we shall see tommorow)

To answer your fist question, if you like the staff then i can tell you that it’s doing well when used in power based builds BUT if you are doing mostly events and solo open pve i would recommend to use GS insteed becouse of its Izerker that can do AoE dmg to mobs ( in most events you wont be able to hit most mobs with staff couse they die too fast).

Second question: Yes it is possbile as i mentioned above but again its more viable in places like WvW or spvp since you wont need as much surviv in PvE (staff is a weapon that gives the best defensive capabilities that mesmer has access to via weapons). But again for world bosses it might work out since the Iwarlock scales really nice with power and bosses always have all possible conditions on them which makes the dmg of iwarlock even bigger.

I cant really answer to the last question becouse i never used such combination ( i never really liked GS) but ive seen some mesmers with both these weapons so it might be doable. And for the end ill add that for me condition based mesmers maybe dont have as much dmg as power based ones but they really can bring some joy. They are both rewarding and enjoyable after you get used to them but they seem underpowered when it comes to dungeons (when youre not traited for support only via boons and regen).

@Kardiamond I must agree it has its problems to kill defensive based players but its just that i really like the build and its fun to play for me. Oh and there were some defensive builds in this vid, i think i saw a chaos traited mesmer getting killed.

Also as you said if the player you encounter is good then its trurly hard to kill em but again isnt it same when you are a glass cannon mesmer or thief? I played both thief and mes as glass cannons and at some point its all bout skill that makes you kill the “bunkers”. When i play my mes in condi build (whitch is a defensive one) i rarely ever lose to zerker thiefs and such since i know more or less whats the thief is going to do while a burst engi is kind of unpredictable couse its the least played class and people dont even know what skills engis have. But again i agree its super risky build and thats why its soo much fun

Snafoo i must agree with you that its a lot more squishy than hgh builds but I really like it couse of the risky aspect and i have a condi mesmer whitch is pretty much defense based so just wanted to have something different. I also think that it can halndle some defensive builds too but its a bit harder. Also it offers vouln staccking so all party members can profit from it ( couse i doubt you will be running alone in wvw a lot its just certain death in the end :P).

Also have in mind that the vid was made before last patch so aucually it got a bit buffed with some minor things that make the build overall much better.

im running almost the same build and i would suggest putting the 10 points to elixir line insteed of bomb one for the vigor proc on evry speed boon and additionally i would change the last trait you have in firearms for 5 vouln. on immobilize( its called sitting duck i think) . Also it has defensive aspects:
1st is the gearshield in tool kit
2nd is the stunbreaker with googles utility
3rd you have condi removal in med kit (not much but still)
4th when you put 10 in elixirs you will get the vigor procing trait so pretty much 100% vigor uptime and thats something couse you can dodge much more often.

Also the build is meant to be doing fast bursts so defense is not needed that much . Its meant to stack vouln. and then burst down the target with loads of cc and tool belt discharging bolts. Im using the build mostly in WvW and it works perfectly

Ps. there is a vid of a guy using this build on forums but i cant find it anywhere. The guy also plays wvw and he totally pwns evryone

pps. oh and thanks for the idea of sigil of air, wierd but i never thought of it. I was using sigil of battle but this one might be better for the bursts. Cheers

Zerker or Cond Dmg?

If you will get all the possible ascended items + exotics (personally i use rabid mostly but have few items with carrion stats) you can get around 1.8k condi dmg. With food and tunning crystal buff + some corruption stacks i can get to 2.2-2.3k condi dmg whitch is around 155-170+ dmg per bleed tick depending on the amount of stacks. To sum up the dmg isnt comparable with zerker builds but it still does some decent dmg while you have a lot of thoughness and really nice offensive and defensive support, i would highly recommend this build

Ps. the highest dmg that i did with bleeding stack was 225 per tick but the mob had 25 stacks and i have had lots of condi dmg bonuses

It worked also with the iDisenchanter altho not sure how it is now. Ive noticed it like 1 month ago so i guess it should be working with the clones too since the skill that staff clones use clearly is a bouncing attack but there comes the problem that it would make staff clones kind of unbalanced since they would add twice as much stacks of conditions on enemy. (or at least 50% more stacks) Im guessing it would be around 15-20 bleeding stacks and full time burning with all 3 clones up and autoattack :P.
