I’m sick of queuing for solo tournaments and having an afker game after game with no chance of winning 4vs5 or occasionally 3vs5. It ruins the match, gravely skews the ranking system, and wastes players’ time. Please add a report option for people who sit the whole match in the starting area to at least temporarily ban people from re-queuing in tournaments, so I can get at least one game out of three without having someone who afks.
Side not: Why whenever I queue am I the highest rank (17) fighting teams in solo queue who’s lowest ranked member is rank 59 or 60 or something else that’s higher than all 4 of my teammates’ rank and my own combined as their single lowest rank player? (This has happened a few times now, but it’s only a side note because it’s a secondary or even tertiary issue when compared to people who ruin the match by simply afking—-its an epidemic.)
The world transfer price has become skewed due to the inflation of gem prices. Transferring to a ‘High Population’ server costs 1800 gems (about 122 gold), regardless of the server’s rank on the seasonal WvWvW bracket. That’s one player transferring to a server for the cost of a commander tag and a golem zerg that could wipe out half a borderland (many times over in the case of lower bracket WvW borderland).
I recently came back to Guild Wars 2 because of the changes in the game and mainly in the PvP, but I have friends I’d like to play with on Anvil Rock. I play the game for the PvP aspect, so the transfer cost is just not doable. I see no real reason to play if not to play and WvW with my friends, who are on Anvil Rock, which from the looks of bracket rating WvW system, could use all the help it could get.
looks like the part about the match ups is going to happen because they are going to reset the ratings but I would love to see some of these suggestions put into the game guild customized towers and npc armor would be epic
Thanks Mimizu. As for the triggering factors, I’d expect them to say “on critical hits” if it were for crits though. I’ve tried using it in spvp to test it but I’m with tigirius because I haven’t seen it proc in three games.
Just a sidenote: I was testing sigils that have effects on the end of weapon swaps on my elementalist, and they do not stack. Both sigils seem to not work.
“30% chance to heal nearby allies, cooldown: 10 seconds”
This is a very vague tooltip. If anyone can elaborate on the mechanics please do so.
Q1: What triggers the heal? Does it trigger on autoattack, spells, utilities, dodge roll…?
Q2: Does the generated heal target the caster as an ally (self heal)?
Q3: Does the sigil stack? Does having two sigils have no effect and gives 30% chance? Do the percentages add to 60%? Or are they effected by diminishing returns for 39% chance?
Q4: What is the general area of effect of the healing effect?
Couldn’t get off of work fast enough, so that’s a potential 200 hours of farming i missed out on in 1 hour because I couldn’t get in the event and get a shot at a precursor. Why not repeat the event for people who couldn’t get the chest, seriously. So angry, done with gw2 for a while…
I like the idea of the adjusted night cap because it allows for servers with a high night population to be able to fight servers without many EU or AUS or Asian players at full capacity. WvW should be about organized sieges and skill, not night capping due to time zones.
I’ve been to 4-5 servers to sample the WvW in each. The servers with larger guilds primarily composed of members on opposite sides of the globe seemed to have been dominating the WvW map. Servers may be deadlocked during the day (server time), but it comes down to night when an overwhelming amount of players on one server can storm through keeps and towers like nothing steamrolling all the hard-earned progress made by the opposing server during the day.
Half the points earned at 12a.m. to 8a.m., double the points earned during primetime, and/or reduce population limit during the night. Servers with guilds on during the night will still make a large impact, but not comprise 50% of the points without giving other servers a fighting chance. Sieges shouldn’t last 2 minutes making upgrades mean nothing during the night when the towers are empty.
There is a gigantic advantage that Kaineng has: time zones. Kaineng is a US server, yet a giant portion of their active WvW population is from the Eastern Hemisphere (i.e. SoS). Ever wonder why the map at 8p.m. game time ends up being primarily green and red but when everyone goes to sleep and wakes in the morning it ends up blue?
Players > NPCs guarding empty forts and towers at (our) nighttime.
