Hey guys, I can confirm after weeks of WvW/Labyrinth/General PvE, Yosemite itself appears to run Guildwars 2 without issue, so yeah, good luck OSX friends :)
EDIT: Now that you mention it, I have noticed that sorta graphics glitch mentioned above, usually after long durations of gameplay (like 4 hours or so). Also I have not noticed an increase in crashes, actually.

I find this so cool because like the whole mindset it gives is “hordes of faceless and nameless enemies”. Also, just seeing their rank helps to identify which server they are, and fast. Overall, I would never want this feature changed
Kalkz stay with usssss
BP is in need of commanders! Oh wait…
Join BP we’re recruiting. Wait what?
Since the old thread is a bit too old to bump, I have returned to bring more info about the current Yosemite betas in relation to the Guildwars 2 launcher and game in general. As of today, the Yosemite Publics Beta 4 was released, and as with the 3 previous public betas, the launcher starts fine, and the game runs at an equal or better frame rate in my informal testing. It is likely that there should be no issue with the final release of Yosemite, but I will update this thread with info at that time in ~2 weeks or so, when it is released.
Specs for info – rMBP 15 inch, 2.7 ghz, Nvidia GT 650M dedicated graphics.
Problems (minor) with the mac launcher for me currently:
1. No autoplay, have to click login and then click play
2. Only 1 icon in dock, sometimes 3-4 windows in the mission control (where it shows all windows)
Apart from that its fine here.
Sup. I dunno if this directly relates, but I have some suggestions I’ve been thinking of for the megaserver system. I’m thinking, for illustration, of the crazy popularity for select ‘gold’ Boss Blitz maps, which were coordinated in teamspeak during the Queen’s Gauntlet event. How it worked was, people would find a taxi party, and every second right click the taxi players name, click ‘join in’, then rinse-repeat.
However, what if you were to add a queue system? In addition, which ties a little more into guild logistics, if a guild was to be running a guild mission for example, a guild member joining a full map queue would instantly be bumped to the beginning, after the last guild member to join the queue, but after in front of pugs.
EDIT: In addition, that volunteer’s blessing thing that you added; why not do the same thing for ‘guild branded’ maps, where a significant enough portion of the map is being used by a large guild, and give that buff to pugs who get switched to another megaserver.

Sup guys, I just tried using a VPN to connect called ‘spotflux’. Either by coincidence or otherwise it downloaded the last file fine that time.. Good luck to you all.
I personally found the 10k files to seem normal, and it was only a few hundred megabytes all up. A feature pack means a lot of updated files.
Yep, submitted ticket too.
Also sucks, because it broke just before I would have been able to join in for Season 3 reset night :/
Yes, identical here. rMBP, OSX 10.9. Also september patch was running fine last night. This final file of this hotfix patch wont download.

What I’m wondering is why 20s a green and a yellow only for ten thousand ranks? Thats a lot of work for the same old bit of reward code
Hi all! For those who aren’t in the loop, Apple is releasing the newest version of OS X, Yosemite (10.10) in a month or so. For the first time in 15 years they released a public beta this time around too. I have read threads about the Mac client not working on the Yosemite betas, or only on Yosemite Public Beta 2? I can confirm that as (partially?) false, as it worked as normal without any additional loading time for me on Yosemite Public Beta 1. FPS was normal for my computer, and nothing of issue in PvE and WvW after 30 mins. Chances are it isn’t going to break the game for you, though its not my fault if it does!
Just for info, using a retina MacBook Pro 15 inch, 2.7 Ghz, Nvidia 650M dedicated graphics.
Will probably make a similar post as to the outcome of the Mac Beta client on Yosemite itself when it is officially released.

I agree, sometimes the rewards seem a little sad, for the effort put in by most people.
I’ve been playing the game for maybe 9 months now, and I’ve heard a lot about the SAB (and listened to all the soundtracks), and I was wondering; is this coming back again? It was a april fool’s event, right, but thats already passed for this year (with bobblehead)? Correct me if Im wrong. Anyone know if/when this will return?
It sounds really cool, and if it came back, I would totally play it for hours.
Guys, the last update was on Friday. Today is Monday. Contrary to popular belief, our developers have lives and families that they would like to live and see respectively.
Believe me when I say that we will provide an update as soon as we have an update to provide. Until that time, your continued patience is appreciated.
That was just brilliant! Good luck to you all fixing it, I still enjoy WvW while I wait
I visited a TC heavy megaserver, and wow, that roleplaying was amaaaaazing
making them dance to her war drums.
Dat wording tho
I have been an avid player since launch date and have not had ANY issues running game until recently …. Game crashes / freezes about every 5 min to 30 min while playing especially in WVW .. It will either freeze then immediatly log me out as if I had never started game or mostly it will freeeze and I have no control except for cursor but cannot access my computer so I have to do a hard shut down by pressing and holding the pwr button on the computer to do a restart… This is on a late 2013 MacPro 15" just opened Feb. 2nd.. With Dedicated 2 GB graphics and 16Gb 1600 hz memory … Used to run on a 13" 2008 MacPro and never had any issues aside from some minor slide show frame rate issues but, NEVER any shutdown or freeze … I am suprised that Tech support has not addressed this issue yet . Does any one have any ideas to bring about a faster response from GW2 on this …
To be honest, I think they’re working on it as much as they can. Programming and stuff isn’t always easy, and sometimes its hard to properly and fully identify something. Pretty sure they want to fix it and have it still stable so other things like this don’t arise.
Hey all,
Just checking in to let everyone know we believe we have identified the issue and we are working on getting it in the next hotfix. If this changes, I will let everyone know.
I also want to let you know that uninstalling/reinstalling the client will not fix this crash, so I just ask that everyone hang tight until we can get this fix rolled out to you all.
I appreciate everyone’s patience as I know how frustrating this can be.

Thanks for looking after the Mac users!
Well, in light of the previous comment on “me too”, I guess this would be my first post on the forums. I am experiencing the problem too, 15-inch retina MacBook Pro. Happens at hourish intervals. Has happened in WvW twice and PvE once. Good luck sorting it out, Anet!
Love the effect it has on the music and sounds, and the sepia.
