No, the problem is EVERYONE underestimated what BG was capable of, including BG. Go ahead and blame ZDs if it makes you feel better, but we all know deep down they alone don’t make up for the score differences.

Wait.. it was BG betting on the wrong horse. It was mainly BG population claiming JQ had the easy cheesy schedule and your server tried hard to keep that 2v1 with SoR running in match 1.

I would not say you knew ZDs would come to you, but you played that card well.
In week 2 SoR was really good and you came back in ppt, but SoR stopped fighting after ZDs joined you and SoR knew that they wouldn’t stand a chance even if they would pull crazy overtimes.

So, in the end ZDs are the match deciding factor especially against a server with a very low EU population. I’m happy we got some EU guilds and I really like and respect them, but with ZDs backing you there was not a chance of holding the ppt.

You have an issue with the way ranking people in a competition is done.
If there is a tie at first place, the next ranked one is third, absolutely not second.
To get it simple, your place is determined by adding one to the number of people that did strictly better than you.

Ah ok, so if JQ/BG tie for first then the next spot would go to someone in 3rd and no one would get 2nd? Is that what your saying? If that is what you’re saying happens, that sucks, but would also mean that if that’s the case then SoR definitely would not want a tie between BG/JQ. So that being said then you can almost guarantee SoR would team up with BG in week 7 to secure a tie for second(as long as SoR beats JQ in week 6) with JQ. Do you know much about the BG/SoR history? We pretty much hate BG. Go look at the SoR/BG/SoS thread… Also people I talked to preferred to help JQ win over BG. I only speak for myself but I don’t care about the rewards for seasons. Some may agree some may not.

I’m on SoS and I agree with most of my server. I would prefer to help JQ over BG since BG has been acting like a bunch of deuches since the start of seaon1.

ive actually been trying to help people from other servers when ive gone in. If im on the ruins i try to help constant cap them so ppl can finish their AP if they need it, same with the sentries making rounds and taking turns flipping them, etc etc… the only time ive ever fought someone is if theyve made the mistake of attacking me first Im always down for some good fights and duels but atleast have some respect :P just type /e your words here, to communicate :P

Spawn camping a complete minority with a bunch of siege in their own BL. That isn’t good PR. Moving a 30+ man zerg to crush 1 dude trying to get his dolyak achieve in his own BL isn’t good PR. Having a small zerg camping in the JP in someones BL isn’t good PR. A group of 10 kept on ROFL Stomping me in the ruins on my own BL while I was trying to get the achieves. I actually had to go to JQ you get them. These are just a few examples of what people from your server did you ruin your rep.

In our fight with JQ and Mag, JQ actually helped us get a karma train going so that people could get their achieves and have a little fun. That is good PR. Several of them were actually courteous enough to allow me to do the JP in their own BL. I though that was very nice of them. Most of the time their zerg doesn’t go out of their way to steamroll 1 guy. You actually have to be in their way.

If BG wins this week, the only way to stop them winning the league would be a massive transfer of JQ/SoR guilds into Mag/SoS for the week 6 match to somehow push BG to third for that week.

Then they would have to transfer back to 2v1 BG in week 7.

JQ/SoR guilds transferring into Mag/SoS is possible but it would cost a lot of gold to transfer off and transfer back. JQ has already spent a lot of gold buying GD, MERC, WvW, TKG, NS, Agg before seasons starts so their funds might be depleted. (Unless these guilds refund JQ Waha since they have failed to win).

BG, in comparison lost guilds like SUPR, MERC, TKG before seasons and only received ZDs guild who spend 3k gold of their own to transfer. (MERC, TKG moved from BG to JQ btw).

A lot of people from JQ, SoR are upset and shocked for their loss and will likely take “permanent vacation” from game and not transfer to Mag/SoS.

winning wvw is easy, get as many people as you can to play on NA servers well the majority of NA is either in bed or at work/school.

With all due respect, when the season started we were definitely the least stacked and lowest ranked tier 1.

And even around 2am server time this morning, there were no Qs on SoS and JQ BLs. That’s why week 1 is the most memorable foe me because it showed BGs commitment and dedication to wvw despite having the least favorable odds. For many of us, it’s not the prize that we cherish but rather the journey.

My servermate took this screenshot minutes before week 1 leagues started, this was prior to ZD’s joining as well. Regardless, good job on the win, but to state BG wasn’t already stacked couldn’t be further from the truth,

In it – claimed to be the first post of any of their members – they said that:
1. They’d embarrass BG’s “lacklustre” WvW guilds.
2. They could spawn camp BG every night if they wanted to – but didn’t because that would be “childish”, and
3. That BG could not defeat them – or any server – in open field fights.

Nice video – A pug group beating an organized guild force is an impressive feat.

It shows how valuable a strong pug / militia force is. SoR needs to realize that marginalizing your pugs and elitism has hurt your server in these match-ups.

On the long run I can say that SoR will complain about the world point per kill XD but if they were what they always claim to be they would have a very high % AND IT DOESN’T SHOW that because they have been always making fake statesment that noone believed ever at least now we have game data providing true colors.

I agree with you – SoR will probably complain the most about this new meta. It goes against their long standing tactic of map blobbing / lagging the enemy and exploiting game mechanics to get kills/objectives.

ANet created the blob mentality and only strengthened its stranglehold with every subsequent patch. It was never one server championing the idea of it. Hopefully the new BLs will alleviate some of this play style…

SoR created this tactic to stay competitive in T1 before the IRON/KISS EU transfers.

SoR continued this tactic once they had a large influx of players across multiple time zones and continue to map blob even now.

Every other server has had to do the same to compete and now the lag is pretty much unbearable.

The fights with WahaZergTM this morning were amazing. It actually got a lot of people excited. So thank you Waha for being a good sport about everything and coming back over and over to fight.

This is when the game is most fun when you are fighting like that. The hilarious thing is people think they can demoralize SoR, but 3rd is 3rd, you may 2v1 down our structures because you have better coverage but your’re getting farmed open field. We live for the open field battles.

It seems JQ NA has surpassed SoR despite losing WARD and ACO to SoR.

Unfortunatly it was a bit more complicated than that. WARD, aco and TW had our own borderland on lockdown, we got our kitten handed over to us, repeatedly. While our decisions we made were sound, the field play wans’t always there to back it up. However… it meant their 3 best guilds were tied up in there, reports said SOR also had 70 ppl on their own border which meant they weren’t able to transer over to their home border, thats when we decided to go there and redo them the favor of flipping their garrison.

[aco] and [WARD] both are formidable opponents on the field, and i still hope they once will return to their old home on JQ.

Yeah sure they do. If that was the case, the score would be a lot closer than it is now. BG would not be ticking at 400+. One map qued does not equal all 4 maps which BG has.

Our Sea/Oceanic has benefited greatly from fighting ATM/FOO for months. They are now experts at cross border communication and attacking with float groups. I’ve seen this first hand during weekends fighting along side MERC.

Instead of complaining about ‘map queues on all 4 maps’, which is not even true, why not try and adapt.

With leadership and posts like that why are you surprised that you get doubleteamed in every matchup during SEA. It’s kinda funny that we’re getting trolled for defending objectives against map cap blobs, stop blobbing as much and you might actually get people to want to fight on open field.
We play for the fights, but we don’t feel the need to get all of your coverage on on or two pins as SoR does. We’ve gotten used to fighting with far less numbers and if this means using ACs who cares – its a tool at your disposal. We play for the benefit of the guys who log in every day and its our responsibility to make sure our EU has a good handover vs proving how big your ego is.

BG calls IRON’s 20-25 man group and omniblob? Then please tell me what is this? Btw last night picture in the water with OnS. I didn’t get to capture the 30+ RISE that were always behind OnS as well.

In short BG has no right to complain about anyone omniblobbing. The fact is that BG now will force people to Omniblob to counter their massive zergs. I’m sure HB and friends, BT, RISE, and OnS have already gotten used to it.

I took a look at your pictures and after comparing green dots with BlackGate Invader tags, its more or less equal numbers.

This makes me question whether you’ve even truly seen a server blob in full effect.

I’ve seen first hand SoR map population moving as a single blob, causing ability lag etc..

What you’ve shown in your screenshots would not cause ability lag at all, which is the main reason everyone hates blobing in the first place.

You and JQ did this to yourselves. The constant focusing of BG since we entered Tier 1 this last time has trained us into a lean mean fighting force.

If any person denies that this has been happening, they are not paying attention. The scores show the true story.

When we fight JQ with DB, we destroyed the weekly score. So far this week when we have fought SoR with DB we have been leading heavily.

BG was not this dominant when we entered the tier. Both server’s attempts to push us out has caused us to strengthen and adapt, this includes getting new guilds. Guilds are attracted to a server that doesn’t crumble under pressure. You provided the pressure.

For weeks we have endured it. Now you are reaping what you’ve sown by having to deal with the Beast gate you helped to create.
