pretty sure noone gives a kitten whether legenday items are given for free or take a lot of time, this game is all but dead.. its going to be a sideshow for people playing other games more seriously than they play this game. noone gives a kitten

Why is every medium armor skin a big stupid looking long coat? Especially for Norns,.

Had I known that there is little to no variety for armor skins for Medium Norns, I would have rolled something different.

I would think an art department would make some modest attempt at variety, but apparently not.

There are several fundamental flaws with dungeons in this game. lets list a few.

  • No obvious synergies between classes. I.E. you need to sit down and theory craft for an hour or 2 on what builds for 5 classes. Not realistic for most people.

*Barriers to start such as needing to respec and only being able to have 1 build at a time.

*Needing specialized gear that may be vastly different than used for soloing or WvW.

*and list your favorite design flaws with the interior of the dungeons that have been covered at length elsewhere.

The dungeons in this game aren’t as difficult as they are poorly designed to deal with human nature and pugs. most every major issue with them can be made trivial with a dedicated team of 5-10 people that play together regularly. However the reality is that even most guilds don’t have groups of 5-10 players who do dungeons regularly together.

i’m guessing they change dungeons up a bit when after another month or 2 their metrics still show that nobody is completing dungeons.

OP nailed it. their priorities are not in the right place, unless they truely wish for most purchasers to quit.

I am of the opinion that they dont want most of the people who buy the gme to play for very long.

most of their decisions are not based on maximizing fun. they clearly want a smaller player base. it would be cheaper to manage. they sold over 2 million copies . I am sure they are hoping on about 100k people sticking with it.

its cheap and profitable. all the hype and promises you can be sure are lies. and to cover their kitten they are legally bluster

this is fine. PW is inferior to begin with. I play a thief. all ganking synergies need to be dealth with on thieves. we have enough tools without being able to gank people.

we do need to remain usefull in dungeons and wvw large fights, so I hope they keep that in mind.

I didn’t start doing WvW until more recently. About 750 kills,, 130 badges,1:5.7 kills) I see them less and less. More like 1:8-9 recently. I am done.

I have always been careful to loot.

Man, I know where you’re coming from Travleer. But c’mon, tell me you didn’t have fun with this game? It really does boil down to “was it worth your $60” and in that sense, I find most of us agree.

Seems some of us are spoiled from previous games, myself included. After reading the Oct. 4th statement, I’m starting to see now they need our patience, and if we give them that, they will come through.

I will very likely be purchasing expansions.

Sure it was worth. I’m just saying I won’t be doing it again. I expected to be playing this game a year from now or even longer. DR is fundamentally flawed. Its Dev vs Player. It’s apparent to me that botting is out of control because there is no customer support infrastructure that most MMO’s use a primary means of combating them. I doubt their sincerity when they say DR is a means to combat botting.

I already had to leave one 80+ member guild because everyone quit(for various reasons). I’m done with this game too. A primary reason I wont be playing is this stupid DR system. Its preventing me from playing how I want to.

“A few weeks” is unacceptable to me. In fact a DR system at all is unacceptable to me. Ive seen no evidence that this game has anything resembling a reasonable or functional economy that’s worth protecting.

I mean RIFT has a far better economy and currency in that game is practically without value because currency is so abundant. And you don’t need anything from it to be competitive, but still there is a huge amount of auction house trading where profit is possible. Materials in that game aren’t terribly difficult to get either, but there are a wide variety of consumable items needed for raiding that keep supply down and demand up.

GW2 economy is already a joke. Nice job protecting it by screwing over the player base for going on 2 months.

I don’t think I’ll ever play another B2P MMO again. there is not enough incentive for B2P companies to provide value to their customer, and too many incentives for them to screw over their customers. B2P in this case is simply a F2P model with an upfront cost.

In the future if you make a mistake such as was recently corrected with the update, you may want to correct it with out punishing the player.

I did not know my monthly reset do to a bug, and I worked very hard trying to complete it. I was almost complete when this update went through.

I salvaged a lot of items I may have otherwise vendored trying to complete it.

Again I was completely unaware that the monthly prematurely updated, After all, I got screwed by a similar bug early on that never did come out in my favor despite your assurances to the contrary.

I think the end game is just fine. its called pvp. what pisses me off is the preponderance of bugs and balance issues.

pve and pvp

WvW goes hand in hand with pve and most of the class balance issues can be chalked up to general game engine failings.

seriously. for as much money as has been plopped down on this game by 2 million plus people plus item shop, I would think you could afford to pay a few people to actually play the game and nail down the myriad of bugs.

most recent bug was personal story that i had to redo 3 times. I reported it in game. Im just here to voice my frustration and dissatisfaction .

Your dungeons are killing it for Pver's.

yea their dungeons suck hard. once you find a group who “figures it out” they are a joke. therefore maybe they shouldnt suck so hard for the rest of the player base. i dont think anyone with half a brain is involved in their dungeon design.

I kept attempting to purchase runes and the TP was telling me that the order wasn’t processed, and please refresh. my gold deductions and refunds were also very slow.

I started to see a few refunds before TP was taken off line. About 10 minutes later I wind up with 15 runes when I intended to purchase 6.

I feel kind of cheated, but I suppose I shouldn’t expect too big of a loss (if any) by selling the excess when it comes back up.

CoF dungeon has several script bugs. the whole thing needs a once over. Doubt it was ever tested. (yes have beat it).

thief goes stealth mob resets and gets full health before stealth even breaks,. I can see this is to prevent exploits, but it is over the top now. can use some fine tuning.

thief is already a tough pve build.

Amazing post. I completely agree..

FoV needs improving, and camera “bouncing” and collision drives me nuts. Some of the jumping puzzles are made several magnitudes more difficult due to camera wonkiness.

From extensive testing by myself and others in this guild, this is definitely bugged. The kits are not returning at the % chance advertised.

Invulnerable Underwater Enemies?

This is very prevalent underwater where there should be no terrain (its 360 degree movement) to cause them to go into anti exploit mode, but they do anyways.

very infrequent on land when the mob has a clear path to you, but probably some minor terrain glitches on land cause this sometimes.

I agree, but would go further with the assertion that it makes the skill broken. sometimes it has you facing the wrong way AND out of range. what is the point of that?
