I’ve been having this issue for the past week. I try every other day and still nothing I’ve submitted a report, and I tried posting on the forums last week with no success. Hopefully now that more people seem to be having the issue, it’ll get looking into, especially with these limited time deals going on.
I’ve been having the same issue. I tried buying gems yesterday, figured maybe they were doing maint. but didn’t see any posts about it for that time period. I tried again this morning and the same error. It makes it all the way through to the end screen where you’d usually recieve your gems, but that error pops up instead.
I’ve been searching for an answer too. I’d like to know if I need to decide now on what weapon, or if I still have some time to debate I’d like to not waste a ticket.
I’ve always been curious, and I’ve searched the forums to see if anyone else asked this so I’m sorry if it’s already been answered… but what armor is Councillor Flax wearing? Is it even obtainable in game?
Regrettably, this has caused me to miss a few events guildies have warned me about, only to arrive and be thrown in a Overflow server when I’ve stayed on my home server. It’s frustrating to say the least. I’ve had to view timers and arrive early to the dragon events to make sure I don’t get booted to an Overflow and miss it.
I hope this either settles down or they discourage guesting across servers for loot by increasing the limitation to one chest per character across all servers to prevent people from hopping servers solely for loot. An unpopular opinion perhaps, but I’m getting frustrated with competing with people that server hop for loot farming and get booted out of my server to Overflow.
I’ve encountered this bug within the past month a few times, but like people have said, only in events with mass amounts of people. For me, that means fighting any of the dragons that spawn. I’ve thankfully been able to log out/get booted and log back in time to grab the chest, but it’s still kind of annoying.
I get the weird siren sound, usually close to the death time of the dragon, and then my game freezes/crashes.
Return of the gods maybe. So far there seems to be no reason for the gods to have lefdt only then to be connected with the elder dragons or to make the Human situation seem more dire.
To be honest, I was kinda hoping they’d explain why the gods left a little more as well I’m a lore junkie and would love to know the details!! I have a theory but it would spoil the story for players that haven’t completed/reached a certain point in the story.
Never cared for the snowball fights. Don’t care one way or the other if they bring them in to GW2 as I would not play them there either.
Meh! To each his own! But is there anything from the old Winterday events you’d like to see come back? Or anything besides the snowball fights you would prefer not return?
I can’t wait! Now that they have left the world, maybe it’ll just be the priests dueling it out over which god is better. I really hope they continue the tradition of the old Wintersday, where it is about Dwayna and Grenth.
If they bring that back, I wonder what they’d do instead of us choosing a side to stand on. We don’t have districts to hop between anymore so it would be a pretty solid pick between one or the other…. hmmm… I think they’ll reference it, a lot like they did with Mad King Thorn (Mad King Says anyone?). But they’ll probably add loads of dynamic events and probably a new quest/storyline.
There are snow ball fights in the norn zone you even get helping out when you hit the kids with snow balls! So i hope there is a crazy snow ball fight… no WAR where only the warm hearted will live coming up.
If I remember correctly, the GW1 snowball fights were 8v8. They were amazingly fun, and believe me, they got crazy
I’m kinda excited to see what happens with the Wintersday (Christmas) events. In GW1 there was the ‘battle’ between Grenth and Dwayna, but now that there are other races… I wonder what the events will be like.

Ack! Well, I’m both glad and sad to hear I’m not the only one My loss in mailing was much less than yours for which I’m sorry! I haven’t seen any other posts in the bug forum about this issue, but I hope it gets resolved soon! I’ve filed two bug reports, but yeah, just hoping there’s a fix soon.
I should also add that I receive mail from storyline quests and heart events with no problem. The only thing that seems to not work for me is sending mail.
A friend and guildmate has sent me items via the mailing system, and I’ve received them no problem. Before a few weeks ago, I could send mail and it would be received no problem. However, within the past two weeks I’d say, I’ve noticed that if I try to send an item or money via mail, the recipient receives nothing but the bird appears on screen as though a letter were delivered. Their mailbox was not full, and I can receive items with no issues. Any idea on if this is a bug that appeared and a fix is being worked on or am I alone in this?
There’s one on JQ in Shaemoor Fields We worked on it for about a minute and realized something was wrong and stopped. I reported the bug with a screencap but I’ve got the same fear now Solirus >.<
