As a matter of fact i did read the post and beacuse my question is so specific i decided to make this thread. Thanks for trying to be helpful i guess.

So i just got back to GW2 and i’m farming my first exotic armor which is the CoF one the one that gives power, precision and condition damage.

I’ve no idea what my traits should be if i’m going to use that armor or similar armors and i’ve got no idea what weapon i should use with that armor. I’ve played through the game with shortbow and hand axe+warhorn.

I’m looking to WvW soon so i need help with that.

And i was looking for good Tanky DPS guides but none of them have trait allocation.

So i came here to ask the pros what is the best trait build or weapon for such Guardian?

So i just went back to GW2 after a very long time and so much has been changed or has been added that i feel completely lost…

I decided to grind for CoF armor but it seems better armor will be added tomorrow? Are the dungeon armor sets the strongest armor? It’s pretty confusing and i need some help grasping this.

Me and a friend will jump into structured PvP in a while so i wanted to do some research and find some resources.

Can you guys link me to any youtube channels with serious GW2 PvP? Maybe some constant streamers too?

I feel like the ranger is a support role more than anything, specially with the short bow, your job is to keep the enemies poisoned and slow, interrupt/daze crucial targets and act as some sort of bait with your insane kiting abilities.

When i switch to axe+warhorn it’s all about buffing my allies and dealing tons of damage in crowded battles, the hawk call is useful for knowing where theifs or mesmers are when they go invisible (not sure if intended but sometimes you can see the hawks pecking thin air and you know the thief or mesmer is there).

I’ve been able to 1v1 a couple of thiefs and guardians but not too many times. Hope those little tips helped.

Something i’m 100% sure about is that GW2 had this “blurr” option working differently (way too blurry). I had turned it on way before this reboot and i didn’t notice anything weird.

Hey everyone this is not exactly related to GW2 a 100% but here it goes:

I just was on facebook and my PC crashed (froze and there was nothing i could do, mouse cursos dissapeared afterward), so i restarted it.

After that ALL my games are looking different in some way (in a weird way) Some look better (GW2) some look a little slower (DotA 2 for example.

What could have happened?

I really hope they become playable in the future i’ve always liked frogs.

Is it just me or have the Hylek (skin, armor and everything) received a special treatment in detail? They look freaking amazing!

Yeah i can take 2-3 without much risk of dying while dodging, using lighting reflexes and ice trapping.

I’m a level 61 ranger with the following stats:

Power:1058
Precision:949
Toughness:638
Vitality:706

Attack:1613
Critical chance:31%

My current weapon is a “Honed shortbow of the berserker”.
Damage:502-555
89 power
5% critical damage
Added ruby shard: +11 power, +1% critical damage, +8 precision.

I’m currently fighting level 60-62 mobs and i deal around 140-162 dmg and 290-360 on critical hits.

Also… why can’t we tame Barracudas as aquatic pets?

I’m still frustrated at not being able to tame Wargs and Raptors..

What are yo talking about? All i see is QQ about the game being too easy (which i agree it is).

Seriously who is complaining about it being too hard?

For downed mesmers use AoE around them. Personally i equip an axe on my ranger to deal with downed mesmers as it will 2HKO it’s copies and deal damage to it in the process.

I agree on thiefs being annoying like hell…

I always play the least human race in any MMO.

I mean, we’re humans 24/7 at least let me be something else in a game!

First of all i want to make it clear i love rangers and i’m happy with the ammount of tamable pets there are, but there are some beasts that SHOULD be tamable like cliff bats and most importantly RAPTORS.

Do you feel like there should be more tamable pets?

same problem for leather, everything is a bandana over the mouth intill pirate, which instead of being a musketeer hat, like it is for everyone else, is a tiny cowboyish hat that just looks comical.

I also prefer GW1 PVP over GW2 PVP tbh. It’s very unforgiving and hard to get started with especially with all thieves atm.

These are my exact thoughts.

It starts unforgiving but the more you play the more you get used to it. Also you guys should try different builds and not try them just for one game.

I was getting really furstrated with my ranger in PvP and tried everything until i found the short bow and a crit build + some survivability and i’m doing way better now.

Also, the more you play the more objectives you’ll learn to go for example getting chief and svanir whenever they spawn or controlling 2 points when the opponent starts to zerg one.

The pvp may not be perfect now but it does get better when you start experimenting.

I’ve already seen threads talking about the Kodan and Tengu, but there are so many races that i’d love to play like such as the Frogs (Hylek i think? Sorry i’m a newbie to the lore and GW2 Lore).

What race that is not the Kodan or Tengu would you like to play as?

I’ve noticed crafting leveling is kind of slow in this game (still like it) and i’m running out of recipes that will raise my level so i guess i need to discover new recipes and i can’t seem to find any compatible items for the Huntsman or Leatherworking professions.

Any help with this please?
