They out number us true pvpers. The red coat organized BS is fun for awhile.. but nothing compares to TRUE SAVAGE WORLD PVE ENVIORMENT PVP.
No offense, but this is one of the worst suggestions I’ve read on here.
It’s not enough that the events repeat ad nauseum, or that the respawn times on some creatures is redicilous, but now you want the game to just hand you everything on a silver platter?
Why not suggest that the world bosses just spawn every 5 minutes. Why not just make a world where all the world bosses can be chosen via a push button?
That sucks that you don’t have a lot of time to play, but knowing when the boss will spawn will not help you, or anyone. Fighting a world boss should be an epic and special event. It should never be on a timer in the first place. It should be something that just happens and if the players are around to experience it, then that’s awesome.

I just want a little dedicated tab somewhere to keep tabs on the WORLD BOSSES that are about to spawn. That’s all. No silver platter w/e you are on about.
Fundamentally, something as an announcement to notify players when a world boss is about to spawn.

As for farming and what not, just have the game drop nothing after X amount of excessive World Boss kills in a day.
The irony is..
Teleports are worse than Mounts when it comes to experincing the world.
How many times I’ve seen.. people just simply spoof and disappear. They teleported.
I usually go to a zone, then I teleport all over the place because the teleports make it so convenient when it comes to traveling. Far more effective than Mounts for covering terrain but costly.
Mounts on the other hand you still are inevitably exposed to the world as if though you were walking from point A to point B.
It would be nice to have some Tab somewhere to keep track of when World Bosses spawn and what type.
For instance, you open the TAB and it would tell you how much time is left for so and so World Boss to spawn.

As a Warrior I can be upfront and in your face and when I want to take it easy and safe I can switch to my Rifle/Bow and pew pew from afar.

The subconscious is pure. You want WEAPON SWAP for range orieted combat as a D/D Elemtalist. =P

I think D/D is missing weapon swap. I noticed how you mentioned how certain skills need more range; I agree.
Hence I think they should add weapon switch like all other classes in the game while balanced.
I didn’t suggest more range, I think their current range is suited to D/D it’s just they’re unreliable when it comes to hitting.
On the note of weapon swapping for Ele’s, just no lol it would completely break them. They’re hard enough to balance as it is with 20 abilities with 40 it would just be absurd.

Try as hard you, because you are going up against the best 1 on 1 class in the game.
Also, try to find the real him so you can FOCUS TARGET him so you know which is the real one.

Again, it would be absurdly overpowered. Weapon swapping is not needed on an Ele unless they rework and nerf all the skills of the entire class, which frankly, is not going to happen.

Big flaws.
D/D has so many gap closers that one should have no trouble getting into, and staying in melee range if one so desires. If RTL is ever fixed, and magnetic grasp possibly buffed to have a faster travel time (I don’t think this would be unreasonable) you could stay in your targets back pocket all day if you wished…
I wasn’t referring to the gap closers ,or the Elementalist ability to chase down its enemy. I am saying that sometimes as a D/D Elementalist I’d like to switch to range type weapons like all other classes can. Sometimes in that HUGE zerg ahead I’d just like to pew pew from afar.. and when things look positive I’d ZAP away into the ZERGS face.
Hopefully they can balance and add Weapon switch in the future.

I really hope they add weapon swap to Elementalist.. I think all classes can go from full mele to full range. Heck.. even Warriors can do it and they are the epitome of MELE.

When I’m Dagger/Dagger and I need distance.. I’m practically screwed.
Mounts would result in fewer people stopping for DEs, stopping to help res someone, stopping to help slay that pesky veteran, stopping to play the game. Anet has designed a game that encourages player-player interaction. Mounts would reduce the amount of interaction that occurs. Instead, we have multiple waypoints per map zone. I know there’s a fee (that issue in another thread), but we have ways of zipping thru zones quickly. Not to mention I feel that I can cover quite a bit of ground on foot rather quickly. And everyone has a decent Swiftness boost skill.
On the contrary.. I would actually make it in time for those dynamic events if I had a mount.
How many times.. I’ve been slowed down by a rogue monster.. hampering my efforts to get to the dynamic event.
Adding GROUND MOUNTS would have no consequnce at all to the games social aspect and beauty. As a fellow poster mentioned, mounts would be like getting on a car and enjoying the scenery instead of walking.
I’d pay real $$ to change my in game hair. My daughter created my character and I’m not too thrilled w/ the hair choice. There is a green head band that is clashing w/ the rest of my fasion choices.

Why would you pay? Do you really think charging for changing a basic hair pixel warrants Arenanet the right to charge you money for it?
Changing hair style is as basic as it gets, and Guild Wars 2 is a aesthetic based. Out of good will should they at least allow us to change our hair style for free instead of bleeding our wallets dry. Especially under the circumstance the players is exposed to.. mass botting, bugged dynamic events and more bugs.
I’ve seen enough though from corporate greed.. hence I mastered the character creation.

I’d think that if people were mounted, they would be less likely to stop and interact with the world / player base.
While there is little stopping me from strolling on by a DE or a player in need, as it stands. I feel I would be more likely to ride on by if dismounting were a step in the process.
Along with that, really, when I’m riding around on a mount, I really don’t pay attention to anything around me other than my map. I’ve no concern with what’s around me, because I can mostly just outrun whatever I may run into. How it is now, I have to watch out. Else I’ll wonder my way into trouble. I have to cut my way through the world. Sure, I can run through everything, but my chances of dying, and having to pay that pesky wp fee are a good bit higher.
Don’t get me wrong. Mounts are awesome. I’m just thinking of reasons as to why they’ve not been included.
What type of mount are you talking about? The flying or ground mounts? I agree that flying mounts do take away the social aspect of the game since everyone is up in the air and not on the ground where you interact. Totally no FLYING mounts.
However, I see no problem at all with adding ground mounts to GW2. It’s pretty much the same as walking except you do it at a faster pace while riding a MOUNT in a FANTASY/DRAGON game. Anyways, World vs World I think would over all benefit the most..
If you are truly a die hard all for the experience no mounts stand, then how about letting people use mounts on maps that they have 100% completed?
Weapon swap. I’d like to go from MELE D/D to Range STAFF like all other classes can do.
Especially when I feel that I do the most damage with my D/D MELE set up. Sometimes I feel that I need to go RANGE in certain situations, but I cannot because I don’t have a WEAPON SWAP.
I decided to make my Elemtalist my main after trying both Mesmer and Warrior..

I stopped playing GW2 because I can’t change the dye of my armor with my purchased dye bundle out crashing.

Why does re traiting cost so much at lvl 80 when you have to adapt properly for dungeons?
The Dungeons are ridiculous.. I sometimes find myself wishing to respec traits to full defense, but the gold cost and lack of trainer in dungeon makes it impossible.
Which leaves to me think that when you do a dungeon, your group must have a dedicated TANK before attempting the dungeon. Choose not to bring a dedicated tank and you’ll have a big repair bill from all the wipes.
I really thought since GW2 did away with the HOLY TRINITY you could enter dungeons with any composition of players, but obviously this mostly applies to open world PVE and not Dungeons.
Go SPvP. Dueling is most certainly not the best way to learn how to “fight.” There’s no reason you should be 1v1ing, since there are no 1v1’s in SPvP. It’s a team based PvP arena and is meant to be played as such.
I do agree that dueling should be added though, just not for your specific reasons.
His reason is the probably the #1 reason to duel.. to duel friends and get feed back from them based on their point of view verses you!
Things like.. is so and so skill/combo effective on them and so on, and then asking their opinion of it. SPVP is just zerg vs zerg ,and once a awhile you have that one on one with that stranger whose probably used all his CDS.
Over time your friend who you have duel over time will eventually tell you whether you’ve improved or not.
