[Suggestions] Quality of Life Changes

1. Health bars displayed over all party members at all times. Would make it so much more efficient to heal.

2. Build templates

3. Allowing the WvW circle/dots on raid members instead of displaying full name. Not important, though. I just hate seeing any text on the screen XD.

4. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE change the sound effect of shatterstone to match the detonation time that was updated almost two years ago!! It still has the 2 second sound effect but only takes half that time to explode! The sound effect was never updated to reflect that.

I love Valkyrie on my water/air ele in PvP (I use a mix of magi and valkyrie in PvE.) Along with Rune of the Wurm (gain ferocity based on vitality) and the insta-crit arcane skills, it’s quite formidable.

You’ve made a good assessment, and I agree with most of it. But the thing that discourages me is the navigation! I need a GPS to get me around the block in real life, and in game, to this day, still have trouble finding my way into Mount Maelstrom’s volcano! So when I entered Verdant Brink, and experienced literal layers of navigation, it is infuriating to me.

The NAVIGATION is what I think is too much. Not saying it should be removed, because apparently not everyone thinks so, but imo it’s ridiculous. I enter Verdant Brink and just end up zoned out, sitting in one spot because I don’t know where to start. I’ve played for about 9 hours a day for the past 3 days and have only managed to get THREE hero points! Not because I’ve had trouble killing the mobs, but because I can’t figure out how to get to them! I’ve been to Auric Basin and even though I still find it very difficult to get around, I know the more I play, the more it’ll make sense to me. I honestly can’t see Verdant Brink ever making sense to me. And from what I hear, it’s like Queensdale compared to Tangled Depths.

Not looking forward to that.

I try and hold out for the best, and I DO love this game, but this crazy navigation is the first time in two years I truly feel discouraged, anxious and angry the entire time I play. It makes me not want to.

Is it just me?

What Happened to Thrown Elixir Splash Effect?

Where did it go?!
It was a little detail but it felt….complete.
It disappeared after the specialization update. Ever since then I throw elixirs and it feels less tactile now that there’s no effect on impact. I loved seeing the little splash XD. A small detail, but I don’t understand why it was removed.

I want a Hermit Crab pet so bad!
They’d be an awesome alternative to bear as a tank pet. Maybe just a bit less HP because they would have regen and blocking too.

So what say you?
In your adventures in Tyria have you come across a mob you wish you could utilize as a Ranger pet?

MY BUILD

http://www.gw2build.com/builds/simulator.php#1.1.7.0.13.0.27.0.0.0.2.12.15.9.25.1.7.kitten .0.0.21.20.23.0.0.0.49.51.55.0.0.0.10.30.0.30.0

Soooo for personal, light RP reasons, my elementalist ONLY uses water attunement. I use dagger/dagger when I’m solo and staff in groups.

At first I was having a hard time surviving as a water-only elementalist but now I get it! And I love it! My build is a blend of dps and healing and I am VERY happy with it

I stack, primarily precision, healing power then power. Also, when I am in D/D mode, I equip Sigils of Earth to get a bit more DoT damage on top of the burning damage from the 10 points in Fire tier. It works really well. Mobs are killed pretty quickly in solo play and I usually have no problem surviving, and I also output some pretty good numbers when healing in groups (sigil of water on staff in groups).

Additionally, I use glyph of elemental harmony to provide my group with extra regeneration, but I use glyph of regeneration when solo. Vapor blade is a fast attack and I get healed for every hit (two hits per cast due to boomerang effect). Makes close combat very manageable.

OH! And my elementalist is human and I use Reaper of Grenth as my elite skill for solo and groups. It helps me take down groups faster in close combat when solo and when we stack in dungeons it’s fun to just let run and poison/chill the boss constantly while i heal and lightly damage them with auto-attack and spread vulnerability with #2 staff skill. Also has an RP element to it that I love because my toon is supposed to be blessed with the “spirit of the octopus” (thus I always have my mini reef rider out) so the effect of Reaper of Grenth could be interpreted as octopus ink…….

SHUTUP!

It makes me happy

OH! And I use all dps armor and runes. Hunter or assassin armor with Rune of Eagle usually. Precision and power based. And all my trinkets are healing power (usually with power). My daggers are also precision and power stats.

I want a hermit crab pet sooooo bad! The larger model, of course.
I think it’d be a perfect tank pet.

What would you like to see?
