I can do this for you. I’m a video editor/producer, 3d artist, colorist IRL. However, having also been a music producer/dj, I think I’ll just require cash as compensation.
If you want to talk further, shoot a message to Straniu Moroi in game or mail dumimare[at]gmail[dot]com
Looking great!
We should talk further. I’m a video editor/producer, colorist and graphic designer and I am offering my help. I can capture, edit, color grade, do sound design, foley recording, and who knows what else.
Haha, that was fun.
It is Heisenberg, isn’kitten
Lol @ the filter. I just said “it”
It sure looks that way to me – a dude at the bar wearing sneakers, jeans a cap and a hoodie. Funnies from ANet or what is up with that?
Next stage of fixes are hinted to be coming over the coming months.
You already waited 6 months, what’s a couple more if it fixes the problem once and for all.
Thank you, Captain Glass Half Full!
Placeholder toons would not help with immersion tbh. I hear ya though, culling is my only gripe with the game.
But I think it will quite a bit. I’d much rather see SOME toons populating citties than empty squares and streets.
Capitals still look deserted when you look across a square, or a plazza… Way to break my immersion.
This was the thing I most expected out of this patch.
It’s not really half bad. If you haven’t seen Aion, you haven’t seen horrible textures.
Yup, we are exploring the world together… Having a good time.
Haha, brilliant. You go, boys!
This is us chilling before a fractal run.

I was able to find part 1 http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2/b/357921586 but not part 2…
Can I watch the recent Twitch streams somewhere? I missed them when they were live.
Arena Net would be INSANE to even consider this preposterous idea for a mere second.
Now I’m off to check how many of my buy orders got filled. :-) Playing the TP is one of the main reasons I enjoy GW2 so much.

No.

I share your pain. This needs to be fixed.
I can’t recall of the top of my head and I personally never used anything but high, however if you hover your mouse over that setting a little pop-up will describe what each value does.
Yes, it is less, but it is so utterly, fantastically, insignificant of a difference that it doesn’t matter to absolutely anyone involved.
And suddenly you speak for absolutely everyone? How do you know what and how much matters for ABSOLUTELY ANYONE INVOLVED?
I am genuinely amazed that logic and common sense utterly elude you.

The point is that 1c less is such a small proportion less that it’s effectively nothing.
Small =/= nothing.
Undercutting is not the problem, competition is not the problem. 1c undercutting is the problem, as it provides a benefit to the 1c undercutter at no real cost
Wait, what?
I’m starting to think you are intentionally pretending to not get this very simple concept.
1c>0c. Problem solved, now go cry about something else.
While the white text on white background is not a good idea, I’m very hyped about what this means for the (hopefully near) future: android app with live TP, a fully functional live online Trading Post.
GG ArenaNet
Apparently, this has fixed the solution for tons of people using 5xx series cards.
Thanks
What problem would that be exactly?
disable ambient occlusion in the nvidia control panel.
It was never on.
Nvidia card?
Check. gtx 560ti / win8 x64
Beta drivers?
Check. 310.70
Twiddle with the texture quality settings (put it on max quality) and/or the negative LOD bias setting, I can’t remember which fixed it for me.[/quote]
I did, it didn’t help.
In Graphic Options, lower down Shader from High to Medium, or even Low.
Et voilĂ , flashing textures gone.
hopefully ArenaNet or Nvidia will fix that soon
OS Win8 x64/Nvidia GTX560Ti / Driver 310.70
That does work, but not totally. Some textures, like ship sails still glow, plus it’s a shame to have to reduce shader quality settings.

I’m at a loss as to what is causing this. It seems to happen randomly, regardless of what video settings I use.
ASRock H67
i5 2400 @3.1GHz
gtx 560ti oc 960MHz cloclspeed, 2250MHz memory speed
8gb ram @ 1333MHz
500gb WD 7200rpm hdd
400W PSU
Now I am fully aware the CPU is my system’s bottleneck, which I am hopefully going to upgrade to an i5 2500k/3570 and I would be completely happy with the performance my machine can offer if only it were stable. I don’t mind 40fps, heck even 30 fps is OK if it didn’t jump all over the place.
My issue is with the spikes and inconsistent performance. My framerate goes from 57-60, down to 25-30, then back to 50-55, then back down to 23-25 when I’m just running about harvesting and mining. It’s even worse when I turn the camera. Say my framerate idles at 60 capped by v-sync when my character is standing still, if I turn the camera, the framerate drops to 15 in a short second then jumps back to 50-60, after another 2 seconds. Turn the camera gain, it happens again.
To reiterate, I’m well aware of the available power of my hardware (which might not be all that great as I might have let you understand) and I’m not asking for anything my machine can’t do. I simply want consistent and stable framerates.

I love the game, really I do. I’ve been a GW and Anet fan and supporter for the last 6 years and finally getting to play this game made me happy like a kid on Christmas day.
However, all this joy is shadowed buy the terrible performance. I own a good gaming machine and have been upgrading parts of it since summer just so I can play GW2 at a comfortable and stable 60fps on high settings. Anything less than that does great disservice to the beautiful and immerisve world, not to mention the $1000+ I spent already on this machine.
I am tired, both psychologically and most of all financially of continuously buying new and better hardware just so that I can enjoy the game.
The game is so horribly (if at all) optimized that it used to run better during CB2 than it does now. Moreover, most of the times, reducing all settings to their lowest possible values gives me no performance boost AT ALL.
I tried all settings, 2 different GPUs – stock and overclocked, 4gb ram, 8gb ram, win7, win8, -cuda arguments, defragging, having nothing else but the game and video drivers installed on a fresh windows install… all to no avail.
Performance is severely inconsistent and generally bad.
All this is seriously affecting my enjoyment of the game and it has caused me to take a break hoping for a miracle patch that addresses all this.
This was for me, hands down one of the best moments in the 20+ years I’ve been gaming.
The scale of the cliff the colossus is chained to, the sadness on his face, the view from up top and the moment when after the colossus is freed and he turns and /bows at you sent chills down my spine.
Now, I’m a 30 year old kid and I’m not easily impressed when games (or movies for that matter) try to strike a sensitive chord, but this, dear Anet, THIS WAS AMAZING. I literally felt proud to have helped and happy for the colossus.
Thanks for such amazing pieces of entertainment.
Ok :
Cpu,Gpu usage are pretty normal all the time
Temperature of both too
Disk activity seems normal.Fps depending from where I am for example :
When i enter in WvW is around 30-55 in empty spaces, like 18-22 when in fight.
In LA around 15-18 usually
In PvE around 50-55.I’ve got those FPS before problems occuring but now is almost 10-15 fps all over the places and without any reason.
Tried all-above tips.
Is not a dropping fps is constant dps drop, stable now at 10-15 or less from last few days of patches.Anyway my major problem now occur when I move the camera/looking :
IF i go forward nothing happens, BUT if i turn left & right or around with my mouse o directional key ….. The fps drop is massive or how can I explain?
When i turn my looking/camera the game start to go incredibly slow like as he’s not capable of this data transfer, and then while turning start again to go faster. After those informations i can provide, is my Desktop-PC something wrong in his build?
This is my exact experience as well.
What is up with fps in LA and mouse turning?

The game performs good in general, I’m averaging 50-60 fps regardless of where I am and what I’m doing but when in Lion’s Arch, even when there are no players around I only get a maximum of 20 fps. I get double that framerate during large events with dozens of players on screen all casting spells.
Then there is the most annoying issue ever. I am going about my business, sporting a lovely 60fps capped by vsync, and pretty much every time I turn my mouse, the framerate drops to single digits for a few seconds showing me an otherwise gorgeous slideshow. Then its back to normal. What is up with this game?
This is with everything maxed, except shadows set to medium, depth blur off, and animations also medium.

This is getting way out of hand. I love me a good conspiracy theory, but everyone’s talking about this with such certainty as if it was proven to be so.
As far as we know, this is nothing more than just a theory.
Good for you. I’d like EvE more if it wasn’t for the fact that combat is dull.
You, sir, are doing it wrong.
EVE’s pvp combat (pve is indeed dull) is the only time in any video game (even now after I’ve played EVE for almost 4 years) when my palms get sweaty with excitement.
Yeah great game until you are in a corporation that is locked in their hangars by some jerk of another corporation that thinks it’s fun to try to actually ruin other gamers play time by destroying the vessels of the other corporation that have no basic defenses.
Why not fight back? Just a thought…

I might be late to the party but I think I’ve just discovered how to do a backflip in game. Pressing JUMP (space) and DODGE (V) at the same time gives a different animation from the regular dodge.
late edit: Also works with the combination W+space+V, for a nice leap roll.
GG ArenatNet!

There are places and situations when certain camera movements cause parts of the world to disappear, like in this video: http://youtu.be/oSoDxQwPjaI
There’s not much else I can say about this issue, besides the fact that it ruins an otherwise splendid visual experience.

[GUN] is a group of mainly EU-based gamers enjoying a smart, friendly and mature environment. We currently do all sorts of stuff in Tyria, from crafting and idling in cities to zerging keeps in WvW, dungeons and casual PvE.
Eventually we plan to shift focus primarily on WvW, but until then our main objective is to gather numbers and grow our community.
A guild site and forum is being worked on and it should be ready within a week. Until we set up a mumble server we will be using Skype as our comms.
Everybody is welcome but please only join if you want to represent the guild, we are looking for PEOPLE and not CHARACTERS.
We take it very seriously that our members create a tightly-knit, trusting and friendly atmosphere where camaraderie is most important. We are all gamers after all, so we do troll each other, make bad jokes and use strong language.
However hateful, xenofobe, homofobe, racist and any sort of extremist speak and behaviour is forbidden.
