as i noticed you really like traps, you might want to try spike trap for nice immobilize on top of bleeds and cripple, might be better than fire trap since you are using runes of mad king …
Now with such nerf to celestial gear, it should become real all stat equipment, witch mean it should also include:
- 1% boon duration
- 1% condition duration
+ 1% condition duration
+1% condition damage
that would add 6% for a full armor set.
Not too strong, but at least its something !
what are your toughts ?
Celestial getting hit hardest, we are talking more than 100% nerf in critical damage and only 6% buff to stats. Dont forget that celestial got ripped of magic find back then, without any compensations ! Enought is enought !
All celestial gear should get option to change stats once !
So with new patch celestial gear will have these stats; (current stats > new stats)

- base pet speed is base character speed +25%
- slighty longer range to pet attacks and/or very short distance leap on all pet attacks
(enemy will have to actualy have to keep an eye on pets to avoid being hit from it. With smart movement enemy will be able to avoid most pet attacks, with swiftnes he will be able to outrun the pet. At this time everyone is just ignoring ranger pets because they cant get hit from them in most cases anyways)
- pets cannot be damaged if they are not targeted
(I dont mind my pet to be killed very fast IF someone want to focus on pet, but that should not happen from randome cleave/aoe, again, this would force enemy to pay attention to our pets and not just ignoring it)
- improvements to pet response to commands
- all 4 skills pet skills should be controlable with assigned key

With those few small/(easy?) changes Id consider pets fixed.
I would like to hear everyones oppinion about pets being damaged only when targeted(pvp/www) or took agroo(pve).
… u know that this trait isnt so good like it sound. esp if consider.. we have nearly no fury source outside of bugged trait and horn and the low speed of longbow.

fyi rangers have top tier if not highest fury access across all classes;
Furious grip, Rampage as one, Call of he wild, Furious Screech, Beastmaster’s Bond

Another idea to improve power rangers mostly;
- Merge Tail wind and Hunters tactics and let it stay on grandmaster minor
- Add new adept minor trait – gain 3 stacks of might for 5s
Since we are talking about greatsword improvements, id drop my 5c
- Evade for duration of Swoop animation is great idea and I think it would be worh trading it for evade on Power stab, even more since we are going to loose 25% endurance regeneration from Natural vigor.
- tiny speed and damage increase to Slash/Slice/Power stab chain
- Would you consider bringing 3 stacks of bleeding back on greatsword (dont have to be maul) – why was this even changed ?
- Is there any particular reason that greatsword is without any damaging conditions ?
Pet topic:
- would you consider increasing Harmonic cry area of effect.
- Frenzied attack is only pet skill witch doesnt land EVER.
- how about slight reduction of cast times of pet skills across the board ?
Ranged topic;
- it seems you guys completly forgot shortbow while tweaking longbow, i dont mind its 900 range, but it would need some improvements too. and quick idea – change Poison Volley to be channeled ability.

for Barkskin, wilderness survival, grandmaster major trait, I would propose instead of 50% damage reduction below 25% health, changing it to 33% damage reduction to below 50% health, that would make it more competable to Empathic Bond.
If you adjust the damage reduction to keep its overall effect the same like you’re suggesting, changing the hp% where Bark Skin kicks in makes no functional difference. It just makes a purely cosmetic visual change to the rate your hp bubble drops as it empties. The total damage or time needed to empty it remains the same.
Dec 10 proposed: 50% reduction under 25% hp
(.25 / (1-.5) ) + .75 = 1.25 = equivalent to 25% extra armorYour proposal: 33% reduction under 50% hp

all true, but when im at 50% health i feel no preasure, when im below 25% i do mistakes, hence id take 20% damage redution over whole health bar rather 33@50 or 50@25…

The Biggest change Anet can do right now is removing bloody Signet of the Beastmaster and making that baseline.
Absolutely silly we have to invest 30 points in a line to get the same effect as everyone else.

If you feel and tests shows that is too strong, id suggest making it apply protection boon for x seconds, every x seconds when you are under 50% health threshold, as boons can be striped, stolen or even converted to conditions.

Last time I checked, you couldnt dodge out of any leap, be it rangers gs2, warriors s2, you pick one. Why should be rangers sword be any diferent? To all you whiners, what you really should do is to go out, buy an expensive gift and send it over to Anet.

btw, the other day i tested your cleric, pet sharing, boon duration build and its awesome, been on rampage without killed for whole afternoon,¸althou is nice, im trying to make some build that works for me myself …

Best thing about warhorn 4 is it will get your pet to 25might stacks in a split second with RaO it’s fantastic burst for a BM ranger.

Hey Puandro, thanks for input, but would you mind explain in more detail.?
I tested all 3 offhanders today and this is what i got out of it:
dagger – both skills are on fairly short cooldown, somewhat prevents them to run awa due to criple and helps my jaguar to hit more often, extra evade for over a second.
axe – awesome burst on path of scars, coupled with signet of hunt active it bursts at lest 6k, axe5 is very situational, had great sucess with it today, first time on thief spamming 222 on me while axe5 and signet of stone active, he just dropped, 10min later some random thief killedmhimself with his elite…
warhorn – i didnt noticed much diference from 1 stack of might and furry, very long cooldowns, only good thing about it was thakittens swiftness alowed me to drop signet of the hunt and slot sick em.
after all that, still not sure what would be best fit…
im running power build with 2200 power, 1700 toughness, 50crit damage, 55% crit chance, 400 healing power and 18000 health. shortbow and sword/x
i cant decide between dagger, axe and warhorn. what do you guys think would be best fit and why?
female lion, feline family, F2 pet runs and attack 20% faster for 10s
male lion, feline family, F2 grants 5 stacks of might and furry for 5s
grizzly bear, bear family, F2 grants 7s stability
black wolf, canine family, F2 vulnerabilty and weakness for 10s
bat, bird family, f2 poison and bleeding for 8s, remove blind
ferret, F2 jump – damage and blast finisher on demand

I got kicked out of the game at Jade Maw and couldnt log back in to finish my daily achivement. you own me a laurel, a prestine fractal relic and god only knows what would be in chests. Now, what can you do for me Anet?
