Here is the thing with scaling though:
Again as I mention earlier, if my friend is asking me for help in a scenario … let say … getting an SP. He/she cannot get it due to the difficulty, hence asking for help but when you brought your level 80 character fully geared with no benefits whatsoever and can’t lend a hand, then what is the point asking for help?
My personal experience had been during my low level, when I can’t get a SP or POI due to heavy guarded mob, I literally have to camp around the area until few other explorer to come challenge the same SP so I can get it the same time.
Challenging is a good thing but when you spend tremendous amount of time and golds to setup your character, the least I want is dropped to the same identical strength as a person that just started.
Well it all sound pretty for the low level people but for me it sound like it really doesn’t matter when you are level 1 or 80. If I am level 80 and I am helping a friend, of course I would like to be stronger than them so I can “HELP” ease the situation but if scale things down to the map given maxed level, what good it is to “HELP”?
My point of view:
-Higher level player should be able to keep their “edge” as in stronger.
- A suggestion would be, given the max level of the map +5-10 level of stat and only apply to those that are currently 80. This condition does not apply to dungeons.
-Give an incentive for players to go back to low level maps. Getting level 80 loots in chest on low level map doesn’t really call an incentive with all the blues or greens and mostly whites. - Maybe an options to receive rare materials or get something like a bag of randomness like the dungeons chest?
All the cash/money spend on the gear and build setup we acquire as level 80 is pointless if we go to low level map, which I find it troubling to accept. Why would I even bring my high level character to “help or explore”? Might as well stay at the high level maps and create some noobs just for low level maps. You don’t have to worry bout gearing or setting up builds. Just boost for max survival and rinse and repeat creating new noobs.

Is it possible to get some help here for GW1 HoM?
I am having a rough time finding people for help because everyone is focusing on GW2 and only Gold Seller is in GW1.
I don’t believe this is consider an exploit, it is basically an easy way out or call it a tactics. It does take much longer to use the stair comparing to fighting him heads on. It was a matter of finding the “weakness” of the boss. Would you call skipping Kholer an exploit? It is just finding a way to go through the dungeon with less headache. I normally fight it through but when you are with an extremely bad PUG that already took an hour to get to the last boss and have hard time killing breeders, then I would use the stair.
Been getting a lot of weapon swap bug for the past 2 week in dungeon like AC/CoF/CoE/TA/CM. I am using GS/Staff and GS/Scep+Focus or Shield. This happen most the time during and after a major battle with bosses. I swap between weapon a lot during major battle and when the bug kicks in prevent me to swap. The swapping arrow became gray and stuck with 1 weapon. The only fix was “forced” to fight until all battle ended and un-equip your weapon and re-equip them.
Symbol on the Staff is missing the Swiftness boon half of the time when you are crossing directly on top of it. It is still bearable because of the CD but it should work 100% of the time, sheesh, I even take 80% of effectiveness.
The armor itself is not too bad and still bearable but the clipping of weapons are so freaking annoying. Every weapon I wielded has clipping.
I agree with most of what everyone has been saying. It is an event that meant for light hearted fun time and not super difficult puzzle. If you want to implement challenging difficult puzzle, do it at a normal map at the end of the game. Not on event time because most people wouldn’t have the time to play due to family, school and work.
The timed puzzle and combined with group is the worst idea that Anet has. Like many already said, you cannot see the jump and when it is timed, you basically relying on your luck whether you make it past the group or not.
Lastly, the stupid cutscene is horrible and is killing me!!! Most annoying of all, personally I am already annoyed by the group with everyone blocking your view and on top of that I am annoyed by the timing, it is literally base on your luck on the jump.
I believe what everyone is asking the most is make it solo-able and not in a group.
This is really a shame to see all this result, not including myself. I opened about 40 chest and I am not going to advance further until I hear any announcement from ANet telling me is not a bug and is working as it is. I am not born with a wealthy family and work my blood sweat and tears for the cash and not going to blow it if the chance are randomly draw in an odds of 6 (weapon skin) + 3 (armor skin) out of 23 (is only the list on wiki and it could be more) possible junk, so the ratio is 9:32 … Is that justifiable?
