Same here!
It started today (yesterday was all ok).
I play for like 30 min and then black screen (and i can see the mouse and listening to music).
I’ve tried too playing fullscreen and windowed mode.

It’s pretty annoying, especially with this living world thing: we are not able to finish Scarlet battle to get the chest! (We went to the last phase of the hologram, and then black screen. When I logged back i went to an overflow and no chest for me )

It’s the achievement that gives you the bag of power core. So I think if you go there with another char the game doesn’t give you another bag|

now I’m playing GW2 on an Acer laptop with 4 GB memory, Intel I5-450M processor, with an ATI mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphic card. And it works only with the lowest settings and with really low FPS in WvW and big events.

I want to get a desktop pc to improve my game and I’ve got a gift card that I can use in a local shop, so my choice is limited.

I’ve seen an ASUS desktop with 6 GB memory(upgradeable to 16GB), Intel I5 3470 processor (3.2-3.6GhZ), with an NVIDIA® GeForce® GT630 (2 GB DDR3) graphic card.

Would it improve my playing experience? How much?
Will I be able to play actively in WvW at a normal graphic (Medium settings) ?

I’ve found an Asus with an Intel Core i7 4700HQ (with the same Graphic card and RAM as the one you linked ) .
I can’t understand if the 4700HQ is better than the 4700MQ.
It seems the same to me.
(The only thing I could think is “MQ could be Medium Quality so HQ must be High Quality, so the HQ must be better” but I don’t know if this is the right reasoning)

EDIT: The only thing i can find is that the HQ has “Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d)” (but I don’t know what it is…) and the MQ not.

So, what’s the most important thing to consider in order to play at a normal graphic setting? (Native render, and not subsample, and some low shadow.).
CPU speed? 2.5 GHz would be too low? Unfortunately it’s not too easy to find notebooks with more CPU speed than that (and I need to have a notebook and not a desktop pc because of my work)

I can only play at the lowest settings (no shadows, rendering: subsample…) and when there are too many things on the screen (Claw of Jormag, WvW…) my FPS drops down like 2/second.

I’m thinking about to buy an Asus with 8GB memory, Intel Core I7 (2GHz) with a NVIDIA Geforce GT720M.
Does my gameplay would be good? I don’t want the best performance: i just want a normal gameplay (native render, a bit of shadows and lights…).
And I want to be able to play WvW actively even when there are lot of people on the screen.
Can this PC be good? How up can I go with graphic settings?
I don’t want to change PC and just make a really little change to my gameplay

Chasing groups of 3-4 people in WvW with 3 green dot on my minimap
Fighting the enemy team been sure to have 3 other people helping me.
Die orribly when I found the 3 green dot to be 3 clones XD

Well, it can be designed as a short range weapon, like a shotgun. Every skill range: 400-600
Skill 1: like engineer’s blunderbuss, but without bleeding, 10% to knockback someone
Skill 2: Aoe damage, Range: 0, radius: 120
Skill 3: summon phantasm that casts haste on friend and cripple on enemies (this can be done giving him a bow, or maybe some bolas :P)
Skill 4: block + knokback
Skill 5: Delayed aoe damage like thief’s kill 2 on SB. Range: 1200, arrow arrives at the ground and then, after 1 second, purple explosion dazing and confusing enemies.

I think DR could be the only answer… the problem is: these were the first event of the day! And I haven’t played so hard yesterday!

I tried to do an event now and the problem seems resolved, but I can’t really find an answer for the rewards of this morning. Maybe some bug in the DR system?

Hi all,
I was doing The Maw event at Wayfarer Foothills with my lvl 30 thief and i saw that every event of the chain was giving me just 43 experience, 4 karma and 2 coppers…
I thought :“what? Maybe It is just because I’ve done this event the evening before, maybe it’s a new feature to prevent people for doing the same mission everytime.”
So i went east to the other zone and I killed the champion giant wurm, same low reward.
Tried an event at the carnival (it was to kill a charr causing troubles), same low reward.
“Maybe I’m too strong for this events” (I was level 30, and these was level 1-15 zones)

So i went in a 25-35 zone and I tried an event there, found Denton the Durable wanted an escort for his caravan and helped him. And again i got a very low reward (64 exp, 7 karma and 3 coppers).

Is this a bug?
Maybe I should do only events for my level or higher? (Denton the Durable was for a lvl 27 charachter, and I was 30 at the start and 31 at the end of the event)

1) I’ve a GW account and I can play on it.
2) I play from Milan/Italy and my internet provider is “Fastweb”
3) My time is CET ( GWT +1) I play mostly during evening.

Huge lag on using skill,no problem on moviment and chat,still unplayable. Kicked out after 5 minutes (after a very long loading screen)
