Guild Wars 2

Recently I decided to run a CoF path 1 with a group from gw2lfg.com. They specified for a speed run, and I saw a couple of complaints here about how “People who ask for speed runs, or complain about everything actually kitten suck.” I however wanted to see for myself.
1-These people skipped the middle bridge part, got wiped at acolytes, and a few died on their way back to the acolytes making me have to basically kill all the acolytes by myself.

2-They couldn’t run the fireballs for jack, somebody also insisted he not take off his armor, died 7 times doing it, and didn’t bother to repair broken armor.

3- They got into the braziers while I kill the control panel, around 10 seconds in somebody got downed, 2 of them ran to help then they got wiped, and 4th got wiped by all the other mobs. >>10 SECONDS!!<<

4- Could barely kill the effigy due to having to rezz someone every 15 seconds……

5- One person I would call a CoF elitist was also yelling at everyone like he knew everything, and as I observed his gameplay was pretty kitten bad.

Overall this probably took 40-45 mins, this is a speed run? (Didn’t complain the whole run, just watched them get steamrolled over and over)

PS- If you think it was my fault, message me in game, and show I’m very capable of running one of the easiest dungeons in game

Some players report that they did not receive the reward when they obtained the world completion achievement. For some, revisiting the Chantry of Secrets resolved the issue. A few were able to work around the issue by by revisiting every map on the required list. If you encounter this issue and are not able to fix it on your own, you will have to contact ArenaNet support.
Currently wasting silver visiting every map :/

Yeah, that might be it, Someone told me that I didn’t have a star but….how am I supposed to know where it is..

Is this a bug? I have 100% world and I’ve yet to receive a chest containing the Gift of Exploration. (I have chantry of secrets)

Soooo you want to know where to transfer so you can get map completion? Just stop playing. This game is not for you.

OP … ignore the troll. 90% of the people I know with map completion transferred servers to get it done. Even Anet has stated (although wishy washy) that putting PvE stuff in WvW seems to be the wrong thing to do.

Check out this site (http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA) to see match ups. The scores are updated by the sites users and approved by admins. So, they aren’t always up-to-date but you should be able to find a server that is dominating enough to get your map completion. Good luck!

Which world holds most of the WvW maps (The 2 enemy maps, their own BL, and EB) as one color? My world doesn’t have any owned towers/keeps that I need. This is NA servers btw. Thanks

You’re winning legitimately and with tons of skill and not abusing any bugs. You’re quite the best server out there right now and you should reap tons of rewards for your honest gameplay. Amazing how through the first 3 days it wasn’t about population or night capping or anything really coming from the others servers, but now that JQ is in the lead all of that stuff comes out. We took the lead once lost it and took it back and now its all about population and coverages now. But when we were in 3rd none of this cme out, when we were in 2nd none of this came out.
I know people are going to be surprised but I have seen the outmanned buff this week. Last night was instant queue on all 4 maps-the whole night I was in each BL following and listening to the commanders of other guilds seeing the different tactics etc, no que from 5pm est-12am est on any map

And now on Tuesday with over 3 1/2 days to go you say “pretty much over now”

If JQ actually wins this matchup you won’t really need to look for any reason other then that

All this BG crap is horrible however and ofc the you can’t transfer to so and so and then transfer back nonsense doesn’t fly. I used to think that and I even posted that I believed this, but the fact of the matter is it just simply isnt true on any server at all because there is not one server that retains “full” status 24/7 and anyone who actually thinks that would actually have to spend 24 straight hours on server select refreshing the screen, which no one will ever do.

I for one, and I never thought I would say this, but I think SBI and JQ, if they wind up 1 and 2, should really send BG a message next week if they happen to get into tier 1.

I personally hope people don’t roll over now. I like being down and I like playing under alot of duress, and SBI and IoJ has certainly given me plenty of both so far. I like having a reason to be in there.

I am still looking for the 7 day fight though

And btw you can do your monthly in WvW plenty of candy corn nodes on the map. I did level 1 and 2 in about 85 minutes this morning in there

Well there has only been 1 largish guild that has moved to SBI, but as people are leaving JQ after last weeks mess I fear SBI may be next I would like to keep our server and community the way it is without having it destroyed. Also bandwagon can also be applied to guilds as well

They should just remove the scoring mechanism entirely. It’s the PvP that matters, not the score. Sadly, you’ll notice that lots of people from SBI/HoD/JQ/ET only care about being a top tier server, when all that means is your off-prime shift and population is higher than everyone elses. If they were to remove the scoring system, perhaps people would play for the actual PvP, rather than to cap an empy map versus no real opponents.

I support this. Either way, if the system remains as-is, people are going to give up on WvW.
